3. TDP
EDP and/or TDP?
• Originally developed in Sweden
– within industry
– for self-governing teams in large industrial companies
• TDP – YES, that will make us save time!!
– NOPE! Major surveys show the opposite!
• TDP – can be used for something else and more…
– develop a sense of cohesion in the team
– increase the level of understanding of the overall
picture
– create a greater sense of understanding for your colleagues’ work
EDP and/or TPD?
• Not either... or!
• Preferably and both...and
– TDP – as a supplement to EDP?
– TDP is a good tool when training team skills and
communication – as team
Go to your Manager’s page using your MANAGER code and click
”My TDP form” in the menu to the left. Follow the guide.

The system is born with a framework of
questions for TDP – a very
development-oriented framework of
questions.
The individual team are free to change
it as they see fit… I know of a school
with 13 teams that use 13 different TDP
agendas…
Then, the team can prepare for TDP by
offering personal ratings in advance for
the individual parts, so that - based on
the team replies - average graphs are
made like with EDP, and meaning that
when holding TDP meetings, the talks
can be based on concrete main trends
from the replies…
