Mould Inserts
A range of mould inserts for use in VRTM and RTM tooling.
Some inserts are designed to be directly laminated into composite tooling and some are
specifically for use in metal tooling.
3/8” BSP Insert (XA-0002)
Machined steel 3/8” BSP Vent Insert to be laminated into composite RTM moulds. Can be used with XA-0003 to accept
6mm pipe or as mould flange vacuum connection (see XA-0304).
Flange Vacuum Fitting with GEKA Quick Connector (XA-0304)
Insert for flange vacuum connection. To accept vacuum GEKA connection.
To be laminated into composite moulds.
Other connections/fittings to suit this insert are available on request
Mould Vent Liner (XA-0003)
Liner used in conjunction with 3/8” BSP Vent insert to reduce vent diameter, for use with 6mm Delrin pipe.
20mm Insert Blank– Includes 2 x O rings (XA-0005)
Blank Delrin fitting for use with 20mm Mould Insert XA-0014. Supplied with 3/8” BSP female port, but no through hole.
This can be drilled by customer to suit requirements or used as blanking plug.
20mm Mould Insert (XA-0014)
Insert to accept vacuum catch pot or injection port pipe insert.
Designed to be laminated into composite moulds.

Injection Valve Threaded Mould Insert– Include 1 x O Ring (XA-1501)
Threaded insert to accept injection valve; will also accept 20mm Insert Blank (XA-0005), or 6/10mm pipe inserts
(XA-0311 & XA-0312).
Designed to be laminated into composite mould.
Injection Valve Threaded Mould Insert (for use in machined metal mould) (XA-1519)
Threaded Insert to accept injection valve; will also accept 20mm Insert Blank (XA-0005), or 6/10mm Pipe insert
(XA-0311 & XA-0312).
To be bolted into machined metal mould.
20mm Mould Insert (for use in machined metal mould) (XA-0017)
Insert to accept vacuum catchpot (XE-0211) or injection port pipe-insert (XA-0311 or XA-0312).
To be bolted into machined metal moulds.
Injection Valve Insert Blanking Plug (XA-1518)
Plug to block injection valve threaded insert (XA-1501).
Air Ejector Insert (XA-2001)
Machined steel insert to suit Air Ejector XE-0020. To be laminated into composite moulds.
Fitting is included with Air Ejector XE-0020.
Air Ejector Insert Blanking Plug (XA-2007)
Machined Delrin insert to block Air ejector insert XA-2001 if not using the Air Ejector XE-0020.

Mould Inserts
6mm Pipe Insert-Nut Type (XA-0311)
Use in conjunction with 20mm Mould Insert XA-0014 to connect a 6 mm injection or vent pipe to mould.
Spare seal inserts are available part ref: MM-0009
10mm Pipe Insert–-Nut Type (XA-0312)
Use in conjunction with 20mm Mould insert XA-0014 to connect a 10mm injection or vent pipe to mould.
Spare seal inserts are available part ref: MM-0010.
Mould Location Cone (inc fixing nuts and bolts) (XA-0020)
Machined cone to be bolted to flange between inner and outer seals. The cone gives positive X-Y-Z locations between the
upper and lower mould surfaces. Includes M8 x 50 socket cap bolt and nut.
IMPS Pressure Sensor Mould Insert (XA-0030)
3/4” BSP metal insert for mounting into composite tools enabling a pressure sensor to be easily mounted and
de-mounted to be laminated into composite moulds.
IMPS Pressure Sensor Insert– Blanking Plug (XA-0033)
Blanking plug to block IMPS Mould Insert when not in use.
