PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Located at the heart of London’s Mayfair, Claridge’s provides
a world renown luxury hotel experience to some of the worlds
most famous and wealthy clientele. Established in the 1800s,
it occupies a large and elegant art deco building comprising of
beautifully appointed rooms and suites, splendid bars and lounges,
a fine dinning restaurant and even its own florist. The challenge
was to replace the dated fire detection system with a new state
of the art system with no impact on the guest experience and
as little distraction from the buildings stunning decoration and
architectural appearance.
REASONING FOR WIRELESS USE

To avoid any disruption of the hotel’s famous military precision day
to day operations, all works need to be carried out over night when
activities were at their lowest and the majority of the guests were
asleep. Due to this nighttime operation and the added restriction of
a limited timescale the installation needed to be acheived rapidly
and in near silence, which made a completely wireless system the
ideal solution.

The system was pre programmed, configured and tested by Argus
in its specialist technical centre before being shipped to site for
a low impact installation and final commissioning and testing by
an Argus approved and trained specialist. Not only did this type of
wireless installation have a low impact on the guest experience but
also ensured the best possible results in protecting the integrity of
the building and it’s stunning period decor.
