ABOUT
The Chettinad Wellness Center is a peaceful haven located in the hills overlooking
the rural Sant Augusti valley. The air feels pure and clean, and the view of distant
peaks piercing through the morning mist is a perfect way to start off your day of wellbeing. The Chettinad hosts wellness retreats with some of the world's leading yoga
courses & teachers, as well as other well-being therapies such as massage and
music meditation, in peaceful and comfortable accommodations.
Our hillside property features a centuries-old "finca", or traditional farmhouse, one
adobe cottage, and two detached stone dwellings which are one-of-a-kind in terms of
scope and sensibility. The finca and all guest housing have been lovingly restored
resulting in a delightful blend of classical architecture, modern interior design and
21st century conveniences like wi-fi and high-speed Internet.
Architectural integrity that evokes agrarian life in 17th century Spain... four-foot-deep
stone walls which offer the dual comforts of natural temperature control and privacy,
high beamed ceilings, and an abundance of light streaming in through floor-to-ceiling
retractable glass doors, skylights and windows... are all hallmarks of the main house
at The Chettinad Wellness Center.
The Chettinad House interiors feature white-washed walls, floors and ceilings that are
punctuated by dark woods and colorful textiles from Asia, India and the Middle East.
The common living area, with fireplace and flat screen TV, is hearth and heart of the
home which includes seven double-occupancy bedrooms, a private bedroom for the
yoga teacher, five bathrooms and six outdoor patios.
A terraced swimming pool, framed by extra-large group seating and dining, is the
focal point of the main house's exterior. But natural rock landscaping, beds of fresh
herbs including mint and rosemary, trees bearing almonds, figs, pomegranates and
oranges, and hammocks dotting the property all vie for attention and pride of place,
giving guests many options to choose from when in search of a chill zone or a
secluded place to make new friends.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Guest capacity : 14 based on full shared occupancy + 1 private room reserved for the
yoga teacher.
The CHETTINAD main house, is an airy, light-filled space that's ideal for guests who
desire communal living in a luxury home setting. There is one double-occupancy
room (COCOON) and a single room (THE HAVEN, reserved for the yoga teacher)
that share a bath, another double occupancy room (ZEN SUITE) with private en suite
bath, private terrace, and additional private hot outdoor shower, and one duplex room
for 4 (THE NEST downstairs & THE PERCH upstairs, both double occupancy) with
private rooftop terrace and en suite bathroom. The main house allows guests to
indulge their deepest need for rest and rejuvenation in maximum comfort, while
sharing the cost of doing so with a roommate. All double-occupancy rooms have twin
beds.
The TERRA COTTAGE, an adobe bungalow with private bath and terrace, is perfect
for guests who prefer to relax and recharge in semi-solitude. The cottage can
accommodate two travelers with twin beds, making it an ideal share for friends or
brand new acquaintances. Just a few steps from the main house but hidden from
view, guests are invited to enjoy larger common spaces and amenities… as they
wish… while knowing their cottage is just a stone's throw from the hub of activity.
The TWIN FLAME MICRO-SUITES, a pair of detached stone dwellings representing
the twin flames of yoga theory that all you have is all you need, these havens are a
delight for couples who are comforted by cozy spaces. Intimate in scale, but long on
charm, these rooms are physical reminders that we have everything we need to lead
happy, healthy and fulfilling lives with no frills or fuss. The micro-suites YIN and
YANG are equipped with Queen-sized beds and reserved for couples or family
members (singles possible with a supplement), and share an exterior bath nestled
between the two suites.
