Scanning Technology
Latest 3D Laser Scanning Technology
Our experienced, dedicated design team use 3D solid modelling
CAD systems and CAD/CAM software to help you visualise the
concept prior to production. We use 3D scanning technology to
create high quality, detailed 3D models in an extremely quick & easy
capture process.
The portable scanner enables us to visit your site where our specialists will
create a virtual 3D model. This is then manipulated by CAD software to generate a
representation of foam fitting to optimise case insert design.
The 3D scanner offers the benefits:
 Results which can be re-used and re-engineered if required
 Portable system is compact & quick to set up
 Complex shapes captured
 Fast and efficient data capture
 Accurate measuring
Your component data can be imported (from CAD systems including CATIA,
Pro-Engineer or Unigraphics) and immediately design the optimum solutions for your
requirements.
We can also provide you with detailed drawings or realistic renderings for approval.
Foam Solutions
Designing a bespoke foam interior for a Peli™ Protector™ Case could not be easier, there are a number
of foams and methods available from the standard Pick ‘N’ Pluck to a sophisticated custom designed
insert providing optimum protection to the contents using Nitrogen blown polyethylene foams.
Optimum protection: Custom foam
Foam inserts can be designed specifically to fit your equipment,
offering maximum protection for critical components or fragile
equipment during transit. Custom foam ensures the contents are
safely and securely packed and protected from any drops, knocks
and vibration. This is a durable, long lasting option which also
enhances the presentation of
the contents.
Nitrogen blown closed cell,crosslinked foams are available.
This option overcomes any outgassing
or contamination issues, for example,
in the medical or electronics
industries. If ESD protection is a
requirement, we can utilise static
dissipative or conductive foams.
Simply send us your CAD files and we
will configure the layout to ensure a
sensible balance for the case offering
maximum protection.
Moulded polypropylene inserts are also available subject to quantity, please contact
us and we can advise if a PP moulding is an option.

All Peli Protector Cases, except the 1700, 1720, 1750 & 0450 models come
with our exclusive Pick N Pluck™ foam as standard.
Layers of foam are pre-scored in tiny squares. Simply place the
equipment on top of the pre-cut grid, leaving adequate space
between each piece of equipment. Then carefully pick out the area
which is not needed. The equipment should fit snugly into this area.

Peli™ Cases have undergone strict tests for water and dust ingress protection
(IP rating). The Stanag 4280/Defstan 81-41 is a certification recognised by both
the UK military and NATO.

case allow attachment of padlocks to keep
your gear in and thieves out. Peli’s TSA (Travel
Security Administration) cable padlock is a
three digit combination lock. Works with a
TSA pass key enabling access by inspectors
(only in USA).
These smooth-opening, dependable, patented
latches hold tight under pressure and impact.

Padded Dividers
An overmoulded layer grips to the polymer handle
for a durable, comfortable non-slip grip.
Telescopic Handle
The built-in technology of Peli Storm Cases
automatic pressure equalisation valve is
also a patented feature. This valve prevents
vacuum lock allowing the case to be opened
easily even after extreme altitude changes.
At the same time, the microscopic filter
blocks water molecules and dust particles so
your gear stays clean and dry.

ACCESSORIES
LID ORGANISERS (See main specification tables for availability)
Peli lid organisers feature a multitude of pockets in various sizes to protect and keep gear organised.
The lid organiser is attached to the case lid with Velcro® strips or self tapping screws. EMS version
(shown below right) for 1500, 1550 & 1600 cases.
DIVIDER SETS (See main specification tables for availability)
A divider system consisting of padded nylon dividers with Velcro® sides, enabling flexible
and changeable configuration of internal compartments.
EMS Version for medical equipment (shown right) fits 1500, 1550 and 1600 cases.
PANEL FRAME (See main specification tables for availability)
A mounting bracket to install electronics or instrumentation panels. An o-ring
gasket seals the panel so that the case remains watertight, even with the lid open
(panel not included).

Optional extra for the 0350,
0370, 0500 and 0550.
PALLET RISER KIT
An optional pallet riser kit for the
0500 & 0550 allows for a forklift
truck to move the case without the
need for a pallet.
Storm Case bezel kits are supplied
as an aluminum frame system for
mounting equipment into the base
or lid of the case. They incorporate
moulded corner pieces that will fit at any depth within the
case, and utilise extruded aluminum for the bezel sides. These
aluminum sides screw directly to the side of the case and
rubber o-rings keep the unit watertight. Your panel is screwed
directly to the bezel. This offers greater flexibility for placement
in the case, and much better durability. Bezel mounts can be
used to house electronics or test and measurement equipment
within the case.
PELI TSA LOCK
NAMEPLATES
A three digit combination TSA approved lock.
Works with a TSA pass key enabling access by
inspectors (only in USA).
