FRANK RUSSO of FJR Enterprises Guam has joined AUTEC’s Distributor
network. Having been in the chemical
and detailing business successfully for
over two decades in Guam, Frank saw
the need for a high quality, reliable automated car wash system for many of his
current customers on this small island in
the Pacific. The current systems were very
unreliable and had no local representation to maintain and service the existing
machines that were there. The construction and reliability of existing equipment
was not something he was willing to take
on. It needed to be the best if he was to
undertake this project. He decided the
best place to see what was available was
to travel half-way around the world and
attend the 2015 International Car Wash
Show in Las Vegas, NV in April.
After seeing everything that was
available, visiting with every supplier
and vendor, he decided AUTEC was the
logical choice for a number of reasons.
He had to have a machine that was all
stainless steel due to Guam’s harsh
coastal environment and the equipment
also had to be versatile. It had to be simple and cost effective enough for his existing auto dealer base of customers, but
sophisticated enough to handle the retail
side of car washing as well.
Upon returning to Guam, he immediately made arrangements to make the
long journey to AUTEC for training on
the equipment and the car wash business
in general. The trip has certainly paid
off. Upon returning to Guam, he visited
potential sites, took measurements, obtained water samples, and AUTEC prepared potential site plans for him.
With the help of AUTEC, he has already received orders for two machines;
one for an auto dealer and one at a retail convenience store and he has already been contacted by the largest auto
dealer on the island wanting his services.
He already has plans to introduce
AUTEC to the Philippines once he gets
his existing customers in Guam operational. AUTEC will be there to support
him every step of the way.

concept was influenced by Adam and

family affair for the Naylor’s from beginning to completion.

Top performing AUTEC distributors for 2014 were recognized during this summers
National Distributor Conference. Shown with AUTEC President Tom Hobby (second from

AUTEC recently hosted its National Distributor Conference at the company’s headquarters in Statesville, NC from September 17-19.
Over forty distributors attended from all across
the U.S. Highlights from the conference included recognition of the top-two performing
distributors for 2014. Ross Weimer and Eric
Weimer, on behalf of Bozeman Distributors of
Baton Rouge, LA, earned the number one spot
for most car washes sold, many of which were
the AUTEC INBAY EXPRESS business model
with car wash and building combinations. Bert
Rast, on behalf of Mako Car Wash Systems
of Atlantic Beach, FL, received the best
performer in the convenience store-petroleum
market award.
Several of AUTEC’s key vendor-partners attended and presented new information, products and technology relevant to the AUTEC sales
team. Each vendor-partner sponsored a function during the conference. AUTEC’s corporate
sales and manufacturing executives also made
presentations featuring new sales support materials and new equipment revisions and introductions. AUTEC president, Tom Hobby, spoke
of the David H. Sandler concept and book
title, ‘You Can’t Teach A Kid To Ride A Bike
At A Seminar’, and compared that to a car
wash prospect. “A kid must experience a bicycle himself to learn how to ride it. The same
holds true when selling the AUTEC INBAY EXPRESS Car Wash business model. The prospect
must see and experience the car wash himself to
understand and embrace the concept,” Hobby
commented. He encouraged distributors to
bring prospects to the Statesville factory to see
the INBAY EXPRESS in operation.
Two AUTEC Car Wash owners attended the
conference as guest speakers. Bobby Lewallen
of Auto Paradise Car Washes of San Angelo
and Midland, TX spoke about his experiences
as a retail car wash owner. Dennis Carson of
Mike Johnson Toyota of Hickory, NC spoke
about the importance of a car wash to the Auto
Dealer. “It was great to have customers share
their experiences from two different industry
perspectives,” said Hobby.
AUTEC plans to hold such sales conferences
annually in addition to the periodically scheduled AUTEC Academy Service Training sessions.

Exchange and Morale, Welfare and
Recreation at Naval Station, Norfolk, VA,
contracted through a Public Private Venture
with AUTEC Car Wash Systems and Alpha
Car Washes, LLC. The grand opening ceremonies took place on June 22, 2015.
The state-of-the-art facility cost nearly
$4-million to build and features a one-ofa-kind car wash with dual bays showcasing AUTEC’s EV-1 Evolution systems.
Along with the two automatic bays featuring AUTEC Car Wash Systems, Flagship has six self-serve bays. The dual EV-1
systems working side-by-side provide
your choice of either a soft touch or combination of soft touch and touch free
washes. The Ultimate Wash provides a
heated presoak, a chemical tire applicator, an undercarriage wash, triple foam
bath, rocker panel blaster, double-pass
soft touch high pressure wash, along with
many other car wash offerings. Flagship
is also eco-friendly where 90% of the
water used in the wash cycle is recycled.
