ANNUAL CONGRESS OF THE LEBANESE SOCIETY FOR VASCULAR SURGERY
Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is a great pleasure to announce the 6th Annual Meeting of our Lebanese
Society for Vascular Surgery. Despite the unstable political situation of our
Country and the neighboring region, we were glad to complete our preparations and come up with a full scientific package. As you noticed, the organizing committee gave a new image to the congress.
The scientific program was limited to two days for a more active participation
and smooth running of the event.
Physicians from different specialties will participate, all involved in the treatment of vascular disease. This new approach will allow an interesting discussion between Vascular Surgeons, Vascular Radiologists, and Angiologists.
Each speaker and participant will contribute with his “know-how” to make
our practice better.
This year, we chose a major theme for our meeting: The Vascular Abdominal
Pathology. Three whole sessions will be dedicated to discuss the diagnostic
and therapeutic strategies when addressing the abdominal vessels.
The constantly evolving domain of Venous and Thrombo-embolic Disease is
now an inseparable part of our Meeting. Key lectures by dedicated specialists will treat this issue.
We also added a new section to our program: The free paper session. Participants can now present valuable and interesting topics in vascular surgery.
I wish to thank all the speakers who accepted our invitation. A special consideration for our international colleagues who will fly to Lebanon from
France, Jordan, Turkey and USA, despite the difficult times we’re living. We
wish you a pleasant stay.
I hope the Congress will meet your expectations and welcome to all.
