Sara Blanche Comisky, Miss Louisiana United States
A graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Sara is passionate
about numerous causes. She credits the Girl Scouts for her love for
volunteerism, and is currently involved with multiple organizations and
fundraisers, such as Baton Rouge Special Olympics; Baton Rouge Race for the
Cure, and Kid’s Day at the Castine Center. Her favorite thing about Louisiana is
the culture, “We are a sportsman’s paradise, an artist’s muse, a music lover’s
bucket list destination and a foodie’s dream. This state is bubbling with
diversity, happiness and endless entertainment.”
Nora McGunnigle; Nola Beer Blog
Nora McGunnigle is a freelance beer and food writer in New Orleans, where
she focuses on the unique food and beer culture of Louisiana and the Gulf
region. She has published multiple articles in magazines such as, All About
Beer, Beer Advocate, and CraftBeer.com, and her work appears on websites
like Thrillist, Eater, and GoNOLA.com. She also created and runs the
Louisiana craft beer blog nolabeerblog.com.
Ashley V. Massarini; Federal Aviation Administration
Ashley, born in Slidell, Louisiana, is a former Navy Seal. He was enlisted in the
United States Navy from 1992-2002 where he toured the United States Naval
Academy and Naval Special Warfare Group Two. He is currently employed by
Federal Aviation Administration where he has worked since 2002.
Sal Mortillaro II - Manager Clearview Auto Title & Notary; Reserve Deputy St. Tammany
Parish Sheriff’s Office Division of Criminal Patrol
Sal, a current Marine reservist of 8 years, is a true beer enthusiast. A
homebrewer since 2010, he is one of 17 certified BJCP beer judges in the
State of Louisiana where he holds the rank of National (one of about 450 in the
world). He is a member of the Mystic Krewe of Brew Homebrew Club, and a
founding board member of The Bayou State Homebrew Competition, as well
as the Competition Coordinator and Head Judge for the New Orleans On Tap,
Bayou Beer Fest and Larry Fest charity beer events. He also authors beer
reviews & judging for The Beer Connoisseur magazine. But let’s also not forget
to mention that Sal is a Certified BBQ judge through the KCBS.
Paul Parrie - Associate Vice President, Operations National WWII Museum
Paul Parrie is the Associate Vice President of Operations at the National WWII
Museum. Prior to joining the Museum team Paul worked in sports broadcasting
and software development. He has leveraged his 30 years’ experience in live
television broadcasting, media creation, software development, information
technologies and project management to be a part of the management team
that is leading the National WWII Museum through its $300M expansion project.
Robert Peyton; Partner @ Christovich & Kearney Attorneys at Law
Robert Peyton is a native of New Orleans, and is lawyer by trade. He began
writing about food in 1999 on his now defunct food blog, www.appetites.us,
which in 2006 New Orleans Magazine named Best Food Blog in New
Orleans. He authors the Restaurant Insider column for New Orleans
Magazine, and has had articles published in several magazines, such as St.
Charles Avenue, Louisiana Life, New Orleans Homes & Lifestyles magazines,
as well as Fodor’s Guide to New Orleans.
Mayor Donald Villere
Donald Villere was born in New Orleans and raised in Covington, La. He is a
LSU graduate; and mayor since 2010. Mayor Villere is a former member of the
St. Tammany Parish School Board, Vice President of District I of the Louisiana
Municipal Association and is a board member of the Municipal Police
Employees Retirement System. He has been married for the last 43 years.
Mayor Villere has been married 43 years, and they have two children and three
grandchildren. He has been a resident of Mandeville for the past 39 years.
