Satisfying the Soul - Louisiana Nursing Home Association
Satisfying the Soul
Louisiana Nursing Home Association
Annual Spring Conference
May 5-6, 2015, Baton Rouge, LA
What are the basics to satisfying your soul? Love, comfort, warmth and
peace. We live in such a high speed society that we forget the core of
our being. We are constantly on media overload and forget the basics. In
our industry we have the unique opportunity to give back to our elders
and “satisfy their souls” by creating the feeling of compassion and love
from their own sense of “home”. The smell of mom’s cooking, the hand
holding to connect during conversation, the songs they sang at home. It’s
about making the heart happy. And for us as professionals, satisfying the
soul means that we have mastered meeting our residents’ personal and
individual needs!
Conference kickoff is Monday morning with a tennis tournament.
Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. is when everyone can mingle casually
at the pool.
May 4th is the Monday Night reception when everyone comes together
for an informal meet and greet. Exhibits will open on Tuesday, May 5th.
Attendees will have two opportunities to visit with vendors. Lunch will
be served in the exhibit hall and later that afternoon members will attend
a networking reception where door prizes will be given away. Exhibitors
are also invited to attend the Legislative Party on Tuesday evening.
