Word from the Board...
Sacramento Tamil Mandrum (STM) once again warmly welcomes you to this great
evening to celebrate Tamil New Year 2007. As you may be aware, STM is a non-profit,
non-political, non-religious organization established in 1997 to promote Tamil culture in
and around the Sacramento Valley area. The success behind this organization is that it
has adapted to changing times and needs of the Tamil Community. Keeping this in mind,
the Mandrum has worked hard to bring the best performances from our local talent to
this New Year Event. We hope you will enjoy this function and give your continuous
support for the growth of Sacramento Tamil Mandrum.
STM board nominates the President, Secretary and Treasurer every year. We are proud
to say here that that our Mandrum functions without any membership fee for the past ten
years because of your dedicated support. The funds collected by means of entrance fee
from the participants, their families and other attendees for this event. This and the
generous donations from various local businesses are the Mandrum’s financial resources
to conduct this grand Tamil New Year event and subsequently the summer picnic and
Diwali program.
We recognize, honor & remember one of the founder and past president of our
Mandrum, late Mr. Joshua Ebenezer for his commitment, dedication and hard work
helping the community. Further, we thank the previous presidents, secretaries, treasurers
and all other board members, for their sincere efforts, which has helped our Mandrum
grow all these years.

When NASA began the launch of astronauts into space, they

this problem, they hired Andersen Consulting. It took them
one decade and 12 million dollars. They developed a pen
that worked at zero gravity, upside down, under water, in
practically any surface including crystal and in a
temperature range from below freezing to over 300
degrees
