It will help to include all the necessary elements to meet the needs of the entire school community. 1. Journal size Choose A4, B5, A5 or custom size A4: B5: A5: 210mm x 297mm 176mm x 250mm 148mm x 210mm The most popular sizes are A5 and B5. However if you require a specific size we can offer you any size up to and including A4. Standard 2. Binding Choose hardback or spiral bound Hardback Spiral bound All hardback covers are glued, stitched and reinforced with fabric mesh webbing to ensure that they stand up to the wear and tear of school life. The spiral-bound cover is light and has an additional durable plastic cover to protect it and keep it in good condition. 3. Cover Standard cover (choice of 5), school name and crest overprinted, or fully customised cover Our standard cover designs for 2015/2016 feature a personal resilience theme, which runs throughout this year’s diary. Please note, you will need to provide us with a good quality digital image of your school crest (a high resolution JPEG or vector file). Custom Cover Designs For schools who want a personal touch, we offer the option to completely customise the journal, front and back. Our design team will take your ideas and turn them into a beautiful cover your school will be proud of. Some schools want a simple but elegant look and feel to their journal. We offer the option of a nicely textured hardback cover with your school name and crest embossed in gold leaf. Interestingly, schools who have opted to include photos of school events, sports teams and student activities have reported that the students take better care of their journals. 4. Choose front inside leaf 5. Choose your number of customised pages Standard Customised standard or customised This section of our student journal is unique to each school. Here you can communicate your school’s culture, ethos and rules to the entire school community. You can choose as many customised pages as you require, printed in one colour or full colour (Between 8 and 32 pages one colour is usual), depending on your budget. Include or exclude our learning content Each year we revise our learning content to reflect the changing landscape of Irish education. Past themes include making a difference, positive mental attitude and the achieving Irish. Choose to include or exclude this full-colour module. Our journal includes 32 pages of outstanding learning content designed to be colourful, engaging and informative. This content covers all of the critical topics that schools have told us they need for their students. Self-care, personal well-being and resilience Each year we update our journal design and learning content so that your journal remains contemporary and relevant to your students. This year our theme is self-care, personal well-being and resilience. This theme explains the importance of caring for ourselves and outlines strategies for students so they can build resilience and use it as armour during life’s rough patches. 7. Choose your diary spread Choose your diary core from our selection of standard two or four-pages diary cores or create a fully customised diary core for your school. Recording information is the primary function of any school diary so space for writing is vital. Our student journal maximises this space so your pupils, teachers and parents have the room they need to record information. Our weekly diary spread is in full colour at no extra charge to you!
