Resource Recovery Systems has been with the forestry industry for over 15 years, servicing
& selling all types of forestry equipment. We are the North American Distributor for the
Finland based forestry equipment manufacturer, Maaselän Kone Oy.
We are excited to introduce the Hakki Pilke “Wood Beaver” Forest machinery equipment line.
We looked for a unit that was small, affordable, well built and versatile all in one processor
and we found it with the Wood Beaver Firewood Processors. The processors are manufactured in Finland and the manufacture produces over 3500 units a year and are by far the
largest manufacture of Firewood Processors in the world.
There are a variety of models to fit everyone’s need. From hydraulic splitters to chainsaw or
circular saw operated cutting models. All models are PTO driven, but can be upgraded to a
19hp diesel or 24hp gas motor. They have the fastest splitting time on the market, only 2.8
seconds!
Our best selling unit is the 1X37, an all in one in-feed, saw, splitter and conveyor. We entered this machine at the 2007 Sawmill & Woodlot Firewood Processing Competition in
South Carolina. The 1X37 processed 2.375 full cords in 18 min. 10 sec. (7.84 cords/hr) with
a setup time of 1 min. 20 sec. and a tear-down time of 54.4 sec. Proving to be the fastest
and most affordable processor on the market!

Circular saw cutting and hydraulic splitting. A machine with
its own hydraulics, using a tractor engine or an optional
electric engine as a power source. Logs can be slit into 2, 4
or 6 pieces and removing the cutting blade the small logs

Ergonomically correct, balanced crosscut table is fitted
with contoured log support rollers.
Log length can be measured
quickly and easily and pre-set to
the desired length. The log stop
deflects as the log is cut, allowing the wood to fall unobstructed

Firewood Bundler
The Wood Beaver Firewood Wrapper System is designed to quickly
stretch-wrap bundles of firewood. These machines are
designed to wrap firewood from 12” to 24” long.
The tension spring clutch adjusts how tight the wrap stretches. The proper
tensioning of the clutch spring nearly doubles the length of the wrap. This
produces a clean, economical, self-tightening bundle easily stored & carried. Open ended bundles allow the wood to dry in storage.
Beaver Wrapper is fast, 12 to
15 sec actual wrap time plus
loading & unloading. Rates of
75 bundles and up an hour are
common for a single operator
on unit.
Hold the wrap across the
top of the wood bundle and
step on the peddle and you
are ready to go.

1X37 Hydraulic Log Lifter
A blade for splitting logs into 6 parts.
The blade will be installed into a firewood processor instead of the standard 4-way splitting blade. The
picture shows a 1X37 6-way blade.
The wood lifting device lowers hydraulically down to the ground,
so you can easily roll the tree trunks on
to it and lift them conveniently on to
the infeed conveyor.
