Bill Field at the Old Town Music Hall
Henry Hunt
In addition to a number of memorable performances, venues and events at the
2015 ATOS National Convention Philadelphia, two well deserved awards of
distinction were presented to two very special people from southern California.
Bill Field, owner and proprietor of the
Old Town Music Hall received the 2015
Honorary Member award. Only one
person receives this award each year,
and previous recipients have included
Gaylord Carter, Ruth Villemin Dresser,
Marian Miner Cook, J.B. Nethercutt,
Richard Simonton, Reginald Foort,
Farny Wurlitzer, Jesse Crawford and
others who played a key role in support
of the theatre pipe organ. Thanks to Bill Field, the Old Town Music Hall is one
of the few (if not only) theatres in the United States that has featured the
theatre pipe organ almost every week since the theatre opened in 1968. Bill
has also been very supportive of initiatives that teach theatre pipe organ to our
promising youth, and he has helped in many other ways to preserve the
increasingly rare theatre pipe organ. Congratulations Bill!
Henry Hunt was awarded ATOS Member of the Year which was received by

Stephen Ross in Henry’s absence. According to a reliable source, Henry Hunt,
is one of only fifteen people who have been bestowed this honor in the history
of ATOS. Congratulations Henry!
