October 7 Auction: Cards and Autographs
323 1969 Topps 260 R Jackson RC PSA 7.......... 56
Sharp and clean card, this has perfect white borders
and a very fine image. Corners are terrific, centered
mildly to the left border, very strong 7 overall.
324 1969 Topps 4/1 Nossek/Yastrzemski/
Petrocelli/Cards Rookies
PSA 7........ 200
A key card to this great Topps set, we hardly ever see
this. This card has four sharp corners, good centering
and very clean surfaces. Extremely hgih-end 7, we
have seen many weaker cards in 8 holders.
325 1970 Topps 189 Munson RC
SGC 7.5...... 50
Crisp card is reasonably well centered and very solid.
A flick of wear at the upper right corner keeps this at
a very precise Near Mint Plus grade.
326 1970 Topps 713 Pilots TC
PSA 9.......... 50
Very popular card, the only one for this team. Well
centered with four ultra-sharp corners, this probably
came from vending it is so nice.
327 1972 Topps 299 Aaron
PSA 9........ 400
Desirable card, these are hard to find in top quality
as they are almost always heavily centered to the
bottom border. The offered card is extremely well
centered, virtually 50/50 all around, with four sharp
corners, bright white borders and a flawless image.
Freshly Minted by PSA, no pun intended!, who wants
to upgrade one of the key cards in their top quality
72 set?

Autographed Baseball Items
Signed Cards
330 1909 T206 Bill Carrigan
9................. 450
White-hot category, signed T206s have always naturally been quite scarce and have been super hot in
recent years. Our first example in a long time, offered
is a pleasing card with a Good front and back damage. This has a bold blue ballpoint ink signature. This
Red Sox catcher played from 1906-1916. Carrigan
died in 1969 and is of course quite scarce on an original tobacco card. JSA LOA.
331 1948 Bowman 36 Stan Musial RC 9.5........... 180
Crease-free card has a fine image and clean surfaces
but is miscut to the top border. This is special as it is
hand signed by Stan Musial in Mint blue sharpie by
the bottom border. With the current craze for signed
Rookie Cards, this is a hole that has to be filled if you
collect such things. JSA LOA.
332 1950s/1960s Signed Card Lot (120 pcs) 9.... 210
Offered is a colorful lot of low to mid-grade cards
that show honest wear but display quite well. Signed
mostly in bold blue sharpie, these go from 1952
Bowman through 1970 Topps, with a fairly even
distribution. Some deeper years are: 53T (6 w/2 high
#s), 55B (10), 55T (5), 56T (8), 60T (22) and 62T (26).
Better players include HOFers Frank Robinson
(60T), Whitey Herzog (60T), Warren Spahn (62T IA),
Al Lopez (64T), George Kell (56T), and other better
cards include 57 Score, 65 R. Allen, 54T Sauer, 62
Mauch, 55B Bartell JSA LOA.

Signed Cards
333 1953 Bowman Black/White
Complete Set w/40 signed cards 7................. 450
Uncommon set, this will not break any condition
records. The cards very from Poor to Ex Plus, but
are mainly VG and VG-Ex with some cards that
could benefit from an upgrade. The key cards are as
follows: 1 G Bell GVG, 15 Mize VG, 25 Sain VG+, 26
Roe Poor-Fair, 27 Lemon Poor (signed), 28 Wilhelm
VG, 31 Woodling Poor (signed), 34 Ebba St. Clair
(D’52) 8, 36 Piersall VG-Ex/Ex Signed, 39 Stengel
Poor, 46 B Harris VG+, 50 Dutch Leonard 8, 51 Burdette GVG Signed, 52 Branca VG-Ex signed, 58 Jim
Konstanty Ex-Mt signed and 60 B Cox VG. Signed
cards are as follows (all are vintage signed, quality
varies extensively). 3, 6-14, 16-18, 23-4, 29, 31, 33, 34,
36-7, 40, 42, 44-5, 48-55, 57-8 and 61-63. JSA LOA.
334 1961 Fleer #15 Mickey Cochrane (rare) 7.... 200
Extremely scarce, even rare, card as HOFer Mickey
Cochrane died in 1962, leaving only one year to sign
this card. Revered by signed card set collectors, this
is a grand opportunity to fill in a most vital hole. The
offered card is well centered with good color and
offers a respectable albeit certainly not perfect “Best
Wishes Mickey Cochrane” signature signed right
near the end of his life. The autograph has a decent
flow and is fully legible and contrasts fairly well
against the card. How many of these can really exist?
JSA LOA.

335 1962 Post Cereal
Mantle/Maris - both signed!
9................. 400
Post Cereal sought to capitalize on the incredible
fame of Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris by making
insert cards for the two in an issue of Life Magazine.
A smart promotion, these cards are very popular
among collectors to this day. The offered lot is truly special, as these are STILL ATTACHED AND
BOTH ARE SIGNED. Mickey signed in large black
ballpoint, Roger in bold blue sharpie. This is simply
something that we have literally never seen before, an
outstanding period Mantle/Maris signed item that is
truly rare. JSA LOA.
336 1979 Topps 670 Jim Hunter (lot of 100)
9.5.............. 450
Very clean 100 count lot of signed 1979 Topps Jim
Hunter cards. This was his last card as a Yankee and
as a player. Signatures are almost invariably in very
bold blue sharpie. These were all signed in person
for a personal friend of Hunter’s and have been in
a closet for over 20 years. The cards themselves are
mostly Near Mint. We had a hoarde of these are we
are getting very close to the end. JSA LOA.
337 1988 Topps
Collection of 676 Signed Cards
9.5.............. 400
Collection of 674 signed cards, 24 are from the traded
set, so that leads to 650 different signed cards from
the regular set. The cards look great, the autographs
match the quality of the cards, exceptionally bold
and clean overall. Collected with great care by a
die-hard signed card collector, I love the specials and
team leader cards that are signed. This lot contains
at least 40 HOF autographs and is simply terrific.
There could well be many scarcities within in the lot.
Better names include but are probably not limited to
the following: Blyleven, Boggs, Bonds (2 diff.), Brett,
Caminiti, Canseco/McGwire, Crews, Fisk (2), Gibson, Glavine RC, Gwynn, R. Henderson, Henderson/
Mattingly, LaRussa, LaSorda, Maddux, Molitor,
Murray (2), Murray/Ripken, Musial, Paul O’Neill,
Puckett (2), Quisenberry, Rice, Rose, Ryan (3),
Schmidt, Sutter, David Wells, Winfield (3) and Yount.
Great lot with so many HOFers, better Rookie Cards
and star players. This would run a small fortune to
piece together. JSA LOA.

lot. The quality of the autographs matches the cards,
exceptionally bold and clean overall. Bright and
colorful set has almost no value unsigned, but the
offered lot is an entirely different matter and looks
great. JSA LOA.
339 Giant Minor League Signed Card Collection
(845 pcs) w/Jeter & Ortiz
9.5.............. 250
Offered is a simply huge lot of 1990s era Minor
League baseball player signed cards. Neatly presented in one binder, the autographs are very strong
overall. There does not appear to be much duplication, this is a very eclectic offering of issues. Better
signed cards here include (but are almost certainly
not limited to the following): Adrian Beltre, AJ Burnett, Eric Chavez, Carl Crawford, Carlos Delgado,
R.A. Dickey, Adam Dunn, Rafael Furcal, Jason

October 7 Auction: Baseball Autographs
341 1990s Topps and Related Binder (380 pcs)
9.5.............. 200
The kind of book that you just never see any more,
offered is a large binder of assorted signed cards,
nearly everything was obtained in person, condition
is very clean overall. This is an awesome lot as these
are almost all stars, future HOFers and otherwise
recognizable players. There is duplication, these are
neatly presented in alphabetical order. The breadth
of star power in this lot is just remarkable given how
hard modern autographs are to obtain. Better autographs in this lot include (but are probably not limited to): Abreu, Alfonzo (2), Belle, Brosius, Bagwell (3),
Baines (2), Bonds, Caminiti (3), Carpenter, Cepeda,
Clemens (3), Damon, Dawson, Edmonds, Garciaparra, Glavine (2), J. Gonzalez, L. Gonzalez, Grace
(2), Griffey Jr, V. Guerrero, A. Jones (6), C. Jones,
Kaline, Kent (2), Mathews, Mussina, Nomo, Paul
O’Neill (3), Ortiz, Pettite (2), Pujols, M. Ramirez (2),
ARod, Sandberg (2) and Ichiro Suzuki. Serious modern signed card collection has no doubt tremendous
breakdown value. JSA LOA.
342 1998 Fleer Collection of 464 Different
Signed Cards - Incredible Star Power 9............. 500
An absolute gold mine of signed cards, this amazing
binder has QUANTITIES of many of the key players, but NO DUPLICATION. The effort that went
into this is simply incredible. The breakdown value
here is seemingly endless, with page after page with
a HOFer, popular star or popular Yankee, etc. Condition is very strong overall, there are only a small
number of weaker autographs. The lists of keys here
is simply staggering, and is as follows: Bagwell (5),
Biggio, Boggs, Bonds (2), Clemens (3 diff), Cone,
Eckersley, Girardi, Glavine, J. Gonzalez (2), Grace,
Green, Guerrero, Gwynn (2 diff), Hoffman, Irabu
(2), Jeter (2), R. Johnson (3), A. Jones (3), C. Jones

Vaughn, Wagner and Wood. Absolutely loaded lot,
with the bounty of HOFers and stars, this would
surely cost thousands to replicate this collection in
this white-hot market for quality signed cards. Great,
great lot of its kind, you really could not ask for much
more than was collected here. JSA LOA.

October 7 Auction: Baseball Autographs
344 1999 Upper Deck SP X
Collection of 132 w/key stars
9.5.............. 200
Absolutely loaded lot, this is a terrific offering from a
very popular and desirable issue. Condition is terrific, better autographs include: Bonds, Beltre, Belle,
Burnett, Colon, Damon, Delgado, Giambi, Garciaparra, Griffey, V. Guerrero, Gwynn, T. Hoffman,
A. Jones, R. Jackson, C. Jones, Killebrew, Konerko,
E. Mathews, W. McCovey, P. Martinez, Musial,
O’Neill, F. Robinson, ARod, Ryan, Schmidt, Seaver,
Stargell, F. Thomas and Yount. How is that for some
star power? Outstanding lot of better signed cards,
these look great and must have a tremendous value as
singles. JSA LOA.
345 Collection of 163 modern signed cards
9.5.............. 225
Mid-size lot of signed insert cards, nearly all from the
early 2000s. There is probably nothing rare in here as
this was before the 1/1 era but the lot contains a nice
mix of current and retired players. The players from
the era are more mostly lesser guys or flame-outs, but
it does include 3 Sabathia’s, Mussina, Lima, two Josh
Hamilton’s and Adrian Gonzalez. The older players
provide much of the value here, with a total of 57
cards with 9 HOFers and many Yankees, including
S. Anderson, Carlton, Cepeda, Dawson, Gibson and
Killebrew. The lot has minor duplication. JSA LOA.
348 2011 Topps Collection of 178 Signed Cards
w/6 Cabreras and 2 Kershaws!
9.5.............. 200
Great lot of modern signed cards, it is amazing how
many top players our consignor was able to track
down for autographs! Condition is terrific, duplication is very light. Signed cards become harder to
find each year with the way baseball has changed,
making lots like this especially desirable. The roster
of big names here is very impressive, especially for a
lot of this size, and is as follows: Berkman, Braun (2),
Miguel Cabrera (6), Chapman, Cuddyer, Dunn (2),
Josh Hamilton, Hosmer (2), C. Jones, Kershaw (2),
Konerko (3), Lester, Mauer, McCutchen (2), Ortiz
(2), Scherzer and Trout. JSA LOA.

October 7 Auction: Baseball Autographs
Signed Books
349 1933 Who’s Who w/129 Signatures! 9.5..... 4000
One of the most important books on baseball
ever published, this is a superb example of this
vital relic. This wonderful book offers full and
partial page biographies of seemingly every
person of impact in baseball history up to and
including the year of issue (1933). Prized by
collectors, the offered volume has an amazing
129 different period fountain pen signatures,
almost invariably in absolutely impeccable
quality. There are 20+ HOFers and a bevy of
rarities, many of which can bring $300 - $600 a
page. Highlights of this book include superb full
signed pages of Jimmie Foxx, Walter Johnson
and Cy Young, a superb Boston page with all
four signed including Tom Yawkey and Eddie
Collins, Bill Klem on his image, a gorgeous Moe
Berg, a terrific Jim Bottomley, a gorgeous Kiki
Cuyler, Bill McKechnie, Rabbit Maranville,
Heinie Manush, Herb Pennock (D’1948), Dazzy
Vance, Tom Connolly, Connie Mack and Lefty
Grove. The rarities here are really special, with
note to: Johnny Welch (D’1940), Ivy Andrews,
Larry Benton (D’1953 at age 55), Max Bishop
(D’62), Clint Brown (D’1955 at age 52), John
Burnett (D’1959), Bill Cissell (D’1949 at age
45), Tom Daly (D’1946 at age 54), James Jordan
(D’1957 at age 49), Earle Mack, Eric McNair
(D’1949 at age 39), Schoolboy Rowe (D’62),
Blondy Ryan (D’1959 at age 53), Gabby Street
(D’1941), Johnny Welch (D’1940 at age 33) and
Doc Woods (full signature). The book has some
loose pages and other condition issues as it has so
many signatures but the covers retain good color
and the total binding on the edge is tight (again
with note to some interior binding wear inherent
to such a comprehensively signed book). The
value of these as single pages probably is $15 $20,000, we did not have the heart to break down
this little treasure, so the winning bidder will get
something really, really special for their collection. JSA LOA.

Signed Books
350 Key Negro League Signed Book (67 sigs)
9.5.............. 175
Great piece, this is only the third printing of the classic Negro League history Only The Ball Was White.
With the dust jacket, this is terrific as it is signed
by an astounding 70 different former Negro League
players! The quality is terrific, key signatures include
four HOFers (Dandridge, Irvin, Day & Leonard).
JSA feels that Aaron and Banks are secretarial and
that Mays is questionable. Despite this issue, the
other signatures include Piper Davis, Joe Fillmore,
Josh Gibson Jr, Bob Harvey, Larry Kimbrough,
Max Manning, Buck O’Neil, Joe Scott and Wild Bill
Wright. There cannot be very many of these around,
this is by far the most comprehensively signed example that we have ever seen. JSA LOA.
Signed Burke Photos
352 Berg, Moe (signed 1941)
9.5.............. 400
Terrific piece, we have not seen a real Moe Berg
signed Burke photo in some time. This example is
somewhat special as it is signed to Ken Keltner and
is directly from his personal collection. This has a
gorgeous flowing signature and inscription, and looks
terrific. Signed in 1941, Berg died in 1972. Legendary cult hero figure in baseball and spy history, great
signed Burke. JSA LOA.
353 Brown, Clint (rare)
9.5.............. 300
Pitcher from 1928 - 1942 for the Indians and White
Sox. Rare signed Burke as Brown died in 1955 at age
52. Signed and inscribed to Ken Keltner in 1941 (as
an Indian), very fine. JSA LOA.
354 Combs, Earle
9................. 320
1927 Yankee HOFer, very elusive on a Burke. This
one is really nice as it is signed and inscribed to Ken
Keltner. Combs died in 1976 and again hardly ever
comes around on a Burke. JSA LOA.
351 Rickey, Branch Signed First Edition
(very rare)
9................. 750
Rare piece, this is a large format (9 1/4 x 12 1/4) 204
page first edition book The American Diamond by
Branch Rickey. This has the dust jacket with typical
wear including chips on the bottom border. Great
piece as this is signed Oct 18 1965: ...as a friend of
mine I want you to have this early copy of The American Diamond Sincerely Branch Rickey. Signed in
black ballpoint, this is special as Rickey died in 1965,
making signed copies extremely rare. Important book
from one of the most important figures in all of baseball history, a very special item that cannot have very
many counterparts in circulation. JSA LOA.
355 Daly, Tom
9.5.............. 400
Rare, Daly was a 1913 - 1915 White Sox, 1916 Indian
and 1918 - 1921 Cub. Pictured as a Red Sox coach,
this was signed and inscribed to Ken Keltner in 1941.
Strong signature in black fountain pen, this is rare as
Daly died in 1946 at age 54. JSA LOA.
356 Fothergill, Bob
9.5.............. 300
Rare Burke, Fothergill passed away in 1938 at only
age 40 and is a rare autograph, especially on single
signed items. Offered is something truly special, a
striking original Burke photo signed in the early
1930s. Fothergill signed this in black fountain pen, a
fine signature. Fothergill is pictured in a White Sox
uniform, there are probably not very many of
these around! JSA LOA.

October 7 Auction: Baseball Autographs
Signed Burke Photos
357 Gordon, Joe (signed in 1941) 9.5.............. 300
Very desirable Burke photo of this relatively recent
HOF inductee, these do not come around every day in
this quality. Offered is a superb image of Gordon as
a 1941 Yankee, signed and inscribed to Ken Keltner.
Great inscription and image. JSA LOA.
358 Grove, Lefty (8x10)
9................. 300
Awesome image of this legendary pitcher, this is a
classic Burke image of Lefty Grove as a 1941 Red
Sox pitcher, his final season. Signed and inscribed to
Ken Keltner, this is a wonderful full image of Grove
outstretched in his pitching motion. Lots of writing,
this is really special. This is one of the best very best
Lefty Grove signed Burke photos that we have ever
seen. JSA LOA.
359 Hayes, Frank (8x10, rare) 9.5.............. 350
Fine looking looking glossy 8x10 Burke image. Hayes
played from 1933-1941 for the A’s and several other
teams. Signed in 1941 to Ken Keltner, this has a lovely signature and inscription in black fountain pen.
This is special as Hayes died in 1955 at only age 40;
how many 8x10 signed Burkes can be around?
JSA LOA.
360 Lajoie, Napoleon
9............... 1000
Superb piece, Napoleon Lajoie photos of almost any
kind are hard to find, how often do original Burkes
ever come around? Offered is a very handsome 4x6
Burke photo of Lajoie as a Cleveland Indian. This is
a fine looking image that is signed “Larry Lajoie 1120-53” in clean blue ballpoint. We cannot remember
the last time we saw one of these. JSA LOA.
62
361 Mack, Connie
9.5.............. 350
Gorgeous Burke of one of the great names in baseball
history, this is a wonderful image that we have not
seen before. Fresh to the hobby, this came from
Ken Keltner’s personal collection and is signed “To
Kenny Best Wishes Connie Mack” on his hat in black
fountain pen. Mack is not common at all on a Burke,
especially anything remote approaching the beauty
of the offered lot. Superb lot of a seminal figure in
baseball history. JSA LOA.
362 Martin, Pepper (superb)
8................. 400
Great piece, this is a b/w Burke with an interesting
rounded corner style. This is signed and extensively
inscribed, with lots of writing. This closes “J. L. Pepper Martin Mgr. Sacramento Ball Club 1941-1942”.
Signed in green fountain pen, this is a fine image of
Pepper Martin batting. Extremely popular player
from the great Cardinals Gashouse Gang teams,
Martin died in 1965 and is really scarce on any kind
of larger image, much less a Burke with so much
writing! JSA LOA.
363 Simmons, Al
9.5.............. 300
Extremely attractive vintage signed Burke photo of
this underrated HOFer and 3,000 hit club member,
this has a great inscription to Ken Keltner. The writing and signature are all in Mint black fountain pen
and could not be any nicer. A subtle closed tear at the
right border is the only possible distraction here.
JSA LOA.
364 Tabor, Jim (rare)
9.5.............. 400
Rare Burke; this 1938-1944 Red Sox and 1946-47
Phillie died in 1953 at only age 36. Offered is a very
handsome Burke of Tabor as a 1941 Red Sox. Signed
neatly in black fountain pen to Ken Keltner, very fine
Burke. JSA LOA.
October 7 Auction: Baseball Autographs
3x5s, GPCs, Album Pages etc
365 Williams, Ted (signed 1941!) 9.5.............. 700
Fantastic piece, this is a stunning image of a very
young Ted Williams from his greatest season. A fairly
unique image, we have not seen this image before,
much less with an autograph. Gorgeous signature,
this is signed “Best Wishes Ken Ted Williams” in
spotless black fountain pen. Directly from the personal collection of Ken Keltner, we are certain this is
from 1941 as over 90 different pieces in this collection
all date to 1941 precisely, not a year earlier or later.
Items signed in 1941 by Ted Williams are extremely
significant and undervalued, a fresh to the hobby
Burke such as the offered lot is something truly
extraordinary. JSA LOA.
367 Album Page
1941 Pirates w/Honus Wagner & More 7............. 150
This is a color autograph album page from the 1941
Pittsburgh Pirates, with the bonus of key HOFer
Gabby Hartnett. There are 11 total signatures, but
some have slight condition issues from being exposed
to moisture at one time (this still presents fairly well
overall). Keys include a fine J. Honus Wagner full
autograph at the top, Arky Vaughn (HOF; D’52), Al
Lopez, Vince DiMaggio, Rip Sewell and Bob Elliott.
Good piece. JSA LOA.
368 GPC Clark, Earl
9.5.............. 210
Extremely rare, this Boston Brave and St. Louis
Browns player died in 1938 at only age 30. Offered
is a simply superb GPC, really an ALS, with lots of
writing. Signed Earl Clark and dated May 18, 1929,
in his own hand, this is a real stunner. If you are into
top quality rare autographs from this era in baseball
history, it does not get much better than this.
JSA LOA.
369 3 x 5 Duffy, Hugh
9*............... 150
Very scarce 3x5 of this 19th century HOFer and former .400 hitter, these hardly ever come around. Laminated, this lined 3x5 has a very large and bold blue
ballpoint ink signature. We have not seen or handled
one of these in years. D’1954. JSA LOA.
3x5s, GPCs, Album Pages etc
366 Album Page
1941 Giants w/Ott, Hubbell & Terry9.5.............. 150

9.5.............. 150
Spotless 3x5 has a large and impeccable blue ink

383 GPCTinker, Joe (letter)
9.5.............. 800
Fine piece, this is a GPC postmarked February 12,

at the close, a fine fountain pen signature. Tinker,
the shortstop in the legendary TInker-Evers-Chance
HOF trio, died in 1948, not too long after this letter

letter is one of the best possible mediums on which to
collect his autograph. JSA LOA.

like it might be a GPC. Signed very boldly Sincerely

and is possibly unique. JSA LOA.

Offered is a simply superb 5x7 b/w image of HOFer
Frank Home Run Baker. This is a lovely image of
Baker in an Athletic uniform. Signed boldly on the
bottom border fully “Frank Home Run Baker” in
flawless black ink, a superb autograph. Slabbed by
SGC, this is truly a great looking signed photo that is
also quite scarce. D’63. JSA LOA.
390 8 x 10 Boyer, Ken and Clete (rare) 9.5..... 250
Something we have simply never seen or offered, this
is rare as Ken Boyer died in 1982 and was always a
tougher autograph. This is a fine b/w image of these
two in uniform before or during the 1964 World
Series between their two teams. Signed by both, Clete
is in bold red sharpie, Ken in spotless blue ballpoint.
Each has signed on their image, superb signed photo.
JSA LOA.
391 Photo Brandt, Ed
9.5.............. 150
Something you just never see, offered is a very large
4 x 10 newspaper photo of Brandt making a play with
Al Lopez. Signed very boldly by Ed Brandt in dark

a single signed photo of this size. JSA LOA.
October 7 Auction: Baseball Autographs
392 8 x 10 Campanella, Roy
9.5.............. 195
Outstanding Campy 8x10, his signature just does not
get any bigger or better than this! This is matted with
the ticket in 1991 from when it was signed. One of the
very nicest Campy 8x10s that we have seen or handled. JSA LOA.
393 8 x 10 Carey, Max
(double-signed, great image)9.5.............. 150
Fantastic image has six shots of HOF Max Carey
making a play in the field. Signed twice by Carey, the
first autograph reads: “Throwing Strikes From the
Outfield! Ha! Ha! Max Carey and the second To My
Good Friend Leon Weinberger Good luck, Max Carey”. Writing is all in clean black ink, fantastic photo
may be the best Max Carey 8x10 that we have ever
seen. JSA LOA.
396 Landis, Kenesaw Mountain
Signed Oversize Photo
9................. 450
Another great piece, this is a huge 11x14 photo of the
most historic and consequential of all baseball
commissioners (one can only imagine how he would
handle the steroid guys!). This is clean and fine, with
a terrific sepia toned image that is signed, inscribed
and dated 1939 in black fountain pen. Landis died in
1944, photos of him, especially anything approaching
this quality, are quite scarce and dramatically undervalued in our view. JSA LOA.
394 Photo Cobb, Ty
9.5.............. 400
Very fine piece, this is a 4 1/2 x 6 bookplate image of
Ty Cobb’s Cooperstown HOF plaque. Signed by
Cobb in black fountain pen, this is a very fine autograph signed on a very clean medium. Ideal Cobb
signed photo, this is probably destined for a plastic
tomb. JSA LOA.
397 8 x 10 Mantle (limited edition
HOF induction) - very scarce
9.5.............. 180
Scarce and terrific original photo, something that
hardly ever comes around. This is a wonderful original print of Mickey giving his HOF induction speech
in Cooperstown, NY in 1964. Signed “Mickey Mantle
493” in spotless blue sharpie, a tremendous signature.
JSA LOA.
395 8 x 10 DiMaggio/Mantle/Ford/Berra 8..... 250
Not the usual Yankee Old Timers image, this is a
superb b/w view of many Yankees with hats off
during the National Anthem. We believe this is from
the early 1970s as Casey Stengel is in the image but
we are not certain. The image itself is quite clean, this
was signed AT THE TIME in blue sharpie by Mickey
Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra and Whitey Ford.
This is the first time we have seen this image.
JSA LOA.
398 8 x 10 Mantle/DiMaggio/Berra/Houk 9.... 200
Grand display, this consists of a very unusual signed
8x10 photo of Yogi Berra, Joe DiMaggio, Ralph Houk

36 1/2 inch display anchored by a huge b/w image of
these four (an enlargement of the signed photo). Very
creative display, we have not seen this signed photo
until now. JSA LOA.

9................. 210
Classic Satchel Paige 8x10, this is a very handsome
image of Paige as a Cleveland Indian following

403 Photo Speaker, Tris
9................. 500
Very attractive 5x7 size image of Tris Speaker shaking hands with Wlbert Robinson during the 1920
World Series. Very unusual piece as this is an image
of Speaker from 1920, dated as such by Speaker in
the 1940s or 1950s. Speaker, a vital and underrated
HOFer, died in 1959 and is available on 3x5s but
actually quite scarce on any kind of photo. The signature is in flowing blue ink in the bottom margin and
looks great. Very fine piece. JSA LOA.
404 8 x 10 Traynor, Pie
8................. 240
Very tough 8x10, Traynor trades regularly on 3x5s
and such but we hardly ever find him on a full 8x10.
Offered is a very attractive vintage b/w photo of a
smiling Traynor in his Pirates uniform. This is signed
to his manager Bobby Bragan in attractive period
blue ink, a handsome autograph. Please note the
image itself has some creasing away from the autograph, mainly by the bottom border. JSA LOA.

treasure trove of fine signed 8x10s. There is minor
duplication, three of some players and many unsigned photos and related material, making this a

much better than almost all runs of this type that

Very charming piece, this is a superb original 5 7/8 x
3 1/2 original photo of Fenway Park from the 1940s.

Lee, Loney, Peavy, Prior, Aramis Ramirez, E. Santana, Sax, Scioscia, Teixeira, Uehara, Weeks, B. Wilson,
M. Young and Zito. Given the size and nature of the
lot, there can be some secretarial autographs scattered about but it will be an extremely small portion
in all likelihood (less than 5%). JSA LOA.
409 Postcard Collection of 55 HOFers (at lower
left) w/Ted Williams, Combs & Sisler 9................. 200
Collection of HOFer signed postcards, postcard size
photos and mounted cards. Nearly everything is
mounted to a 3x5 to fit in with the rest of this incredible collection. Signatures are a mix of vintage from

always very desirable. JSA LOA.
411Collins, Eddie Signed
1941 Boston Red Sox Tax Return9.5.............. 240
Underrated HOFer Eddie Collins (D’51) appears on
many Red Sox documents but how often do you
find him on an almost grand 9x16 United States Tax
Return? Offered is a full tax return signed by Eddie Collins for the Boston Red Sox, this has a Mint
fountain pen signature of Collins. This four-page
return goes into all sorts of wonderful detail, including donations to Jewish philanthropies, the Salvation
Army and details Collins salary ($24,000). Items like
this hardly ever come up for public sale and offer
tremendous insights into the financials of a baseball
team at the time. 1941 was of course a historic year
for the Red Sox as Ted Williams batted a record .406.
This is something that would be a singular addition
to an advanced Boston Red Sox or Ted Williams
collection, great piece. JSA LOA.

Great, great piece, this is a real Gil Hodges tax return, signed Gilbert Ray Hodges, in flawless blue
ballpoint ink (this is also signed by Joan Hodges).
The tax return is not filled out, this must have been
held for Gil or his accountant. We love this piece as it
is from 1955, the Dodgers and Gil’s only World Series
title in Brooklyn. A beloved Dodger and later Met,
how often do you see a true full Gilbert Ray Hodges
signature on a document from this era, much less
1955? A special, special piece for the very determined
Dodger or Met collector. JSA LOA.

logical reason. Vance died in 1963, and is extremely
scarce on items signed as a player such as the offered

Fun piece, this is a very attractive 17 x 26 1/2 Elins
litho of Hank Aaron and Sadahara Oh in portait pose
and batting.. Extremely well composed, this looks
great. Signed boldly by Aaron, Oh and the artist in
the bottom margin. This is a terrific lot as these are
all Artists Proofs, numbered consecutively from 3-10
out of 50. Low numbered editions hardly ever come
to market, and these are consigned to us directly by
the original show promoter. JSA LOA.

Koufax, Sandy Large Format
Holland Giclee9.5............ 1000
Stunning piece, this is an extremely limited edition
(32/32) hand numbered giclee on canvas by noted
artist Stephen Holland. Enhanced by Holland beyond
the traditional print process, there are brush strokes
that can be felt and are quite discernible, setting this
apart from 99.9% of sports art of its kind. Titled The
Stare, this is one of the very best Koufax sports art
pieces ever created and is a true conversation stopper.
Perhaps even better, this is signed by Sandy Koufax
at the lower right corner in huge silver sharpie ink,
an almost six inch long autograph; this is also signed
by the artist at the lower left corner. The display value here is simply remarkable, framed to a total size of
30 1/2 x 41 1/2. Produced in 1993, a truly memorable
piece that will greatly enhance any room in which it
is displayed. If you have a good place to put this and
are a Sandy Koufax fan, this is truly almost a musthave item. We understand that these may never have
been issued to the public and are extremely limited;
these have always brought very strong prices the few
times they have come up for public sale. JSA LOA.
432 Mantle, Mickey Triple 11x14 Signed Display!
9.5.............. 750

Mantle No. 7” and the third “Mickey Mantle 536
HRs.” Signatures are all in matching silver sharpie and look great. This is something that would be
almost impossible to replicate and is simply awesome.

x 19 1/2. JSA LOA.

ink and pencil and include two Roberto Clementes,
one is Mint blue ballpoint, the other pencil. Other
highlights include 2 Stargells, Pie Traynor, Bill Mazeroski, Face, Law, Clendenon, Burgess and Virdon.

441 Clemente, Roberto Signed 1962 Program
8................. 500
Neat piece, this is a pleasing mid-grade example of
the 1962 Pittsburgh Pirates team yearbook. The
inside contents have minute check marks on many
images, the cover retains vivid original color and
presents quite well. This is special as this has a very
pleasing and attractive Roberto Clemente autograph
at the upper right corner. The autograph has a great
flow and is a classic Clemente exemplar. In addition,
the very tough Diomedes Olivo (D’1977 at age 58)
signed on the bat in the image. JSA LOA.
442 Key HOFers Signed Early 70s Program
w/DiMaggio & Mantle
8................. 200
Very unusual American Airlines Golf Classic program from 1971. The program has general wear
from handling and use, not bad at all. Notable piece
as this has 26 PERIOD autographs with some major,
major HOFers and from various sports. This piece is
special as it was signed at the time by Mickey Mantle
and Joe DiMaggio next to each other, Willie Mays,
Yogi Berra, Ernie Banks, Joe Namath, Ray Nitschke,
Johnny Unitas, Otto Graham and Deacon Jones.
A few of the signatures show some wear, but this is
really nice overall. Long before the modern show
era, items from this era are scarce to find with such
big stars. How often do you find a single period item
signed by DiMaggio, Mantle, Namath and Unitas?
Very fun piece. JSA LOA.

578 Ali/Shavers Signed Fight Poster9.5.............. 150
Reproduction 23 x 29 fight poster for the Ali Shavers

576 1970 Rare Ali Quarry On Site
Original Fight PosterEx............ 1000
Terrific real Ali item, this is an original on site 14 x 22
poster for a fight between Muhammed Ali and Jerry
Quarry that took place on October 26, 1970 in Atlanta, Georgia. An extremely attractive poster, this
was designed by none other than Leroy Neiman. The
poster has a creative and colorful visual of Ali towering over a smaller image of Quarry. The poster itself
has crisp edges and bright color, there are some stray
paper creases and one spot on the far left edge, it is
certainly more than clean overall. This is a historic
poster as this was Ali’s first first in three and a half
years as he was exiled from professional boxing for
refusing to serve in the Vietnam War (the fight actually took place while Ali was appealing his conviction
for draft evasion). Ali won this fight handily in three
rounds. Rare poster, the last example at public auction brought over $3,200.
577 1975 Ali Foreman Closed Circuit
Phillipines Poster
Ex*............ 150
Desirable poster, this is a very scarce closed circuit
poster from the historic October 7, 1975 bout between Muhammed Ali and George Formean (The
Rumble in the Jungle). The offered lot is nice as this
was in the country where this legendary fight took
place. This has a signature and inscription from an
unknown person by the title. There are some fine
stray paper creases, and an extremely minute closed
tear at one spot by the lower left corner. Despite these
condition issues, this displays quite well and will look
simply terrific in the right frame. Good piece.

579 Ali, Muhammed Signed Print 9.5.............. 165
Fine looking Robert Stephen Simon color poster of

fans getting out of a car in the 1920s or 1930s. Evocative image, this has a Mint fountain pen signature
at the upper left corner, with an additional unknown
signature just below. Extremely scarce, Corbett died
in 1933 at a relatively young age and missing from all
but the most advanced boxing autograph collections.
The offered lot will represent a perfect way to fill this
vital hole in a good boxing autograph collection.

582 Marciano, Rocky Signed Postcard 9.5......... 180
Color postcard from a hotel in Cape Cod, this looks
to be from the 1950s (it has some creasing but is unmailed and displays quite well). The back has a huge,
bold and simply terrific autograph of this legendary
fighter. Signed in vintage blue ballpoink ink, it really
does not get much nicer than this. Marciano sadly
died in 1969 at only age 45, making his autograph
especially desirable among collectors. JSA LOA.
583 Mayweather, Floyd Wrapped Game Glove
9................. 240
Real fight worn item, this is a hand wrap used by
Mayweather in a fight in 1999. We believe this was
a fight that took place on 2/17/1999 versus Carlos
Alberto Ramon Rios. Mayweather of course won.
Clearly used, this was signed at the time by Floyd
Mayweather, Jeff Mayweather, promoter Bob Arum,
ring announcer Mark Beiro and Junior Poison Jones.
A color photo of Mayweather at time is also included.
Interesting fight used item from the most prominent
boxer in the world right now is completely fresh to
the hobby. JSA LOA.

Very Near-Set w/Nagurski (31/36) .............5000
One of the ultimate football sets, this is a simply revered and beautiful 36-card set from 1935. The set is
anchored by the most valuable regular issue football
card, the legendary Rookie Card of Bronko Nagurski. The offered lot is all SGC graded, missing only
card #s 3, 25, 27. 29 and 35. The value as singles is
tremendous, almost surely to run over $10,000 if
purchased individually, which is not at all easy to do
given how hard these cards can be to find. The cards
grade precisely as follows: 1 Clark SGC 2, 2 Molenda
SGC 4, 4 Matesic SGC 3, 5 Presnell SGC 1.5, 6 Rentner SGC Authentic, 7 Strong SGC 3, 8 Zyntell SGC

2.5, 33 Smith SGC 4.5, 34 Nagurski SGC 3 and 36
Masterson SGC 5. The key Nagurski card is well centered, bright and clean. There are no visible creases,
even under magnification, and the back is also quite
vibrant and clean, a solid anchor for this important
pre-war football card set. This set is also notable it
has very tough cards to find in 5 holders among some
of the key cards, including the #36 Materson card
that concludes the set.

is quite solid overall. Content includes (there could
well be some hidden gems): Brodie, Campbell, W.
Davis, Gannon, Geri, Graham, Greene, Griese, Ham,
Huff, Kavanaugh, Landry, Lane, Largent, Lilly,
Luckman, McDonald, Parseghian, Buster Ramsey,
Shula, Staubach, Tarkenton, Unitas, Curt Warner
and S. Young. JSA LOA.

lot contains Gordie Howe (3), Joe Montana, Maurice
Richard and Johnny Unitas (Artists Proof, 39/50).
How is that for a great run of superstar HOF athletes? A great, great value and these also happen to
display so well. JSA LOA.
Golf Memorabilia
644 Hagen, Walter Signed Book
9.5.............. 150
Larger than life golf HOFer, a desirable autograph as
he died in 1969. Offered is his autobiography, The

the plane crashed and he tragically died at only age
32. Rare autograph, signed on an extremely attractive image, with a great inscription. Who likes really
rare autographs? JSA LOA.

Bobby Jones in Original Box
Ex-Mt........ 120
Fun piece, this is a large format 27 1/2 x 21 real cardboard sign designed to be folded at the edges to simulate an actual frame. This is unfolded and in terrific
condition, presented in the original Spalding box with
a 1961 postmark. This very fun piece offers a glorious
and huge image of Bobby Jones on the fairway with
his career detailed by the bottom border. Terrific
Bobby Jones and vintage golf collectible.
Hockey Autographs and Cards
647
Lundquist, Henrik Signed
Goalie Game Stick
8................. 500
Very desirable piece of contemporary hockey memorabilia, this is a great looking goalie stick used by this
beloved New York Ranger superstar goalie. Taped
on the handle and on the blade, this really could not
have any more use. Signed in bold black sharpie pen,
you cannot ask for much more than this of a hockey
stick! JSA LOA.
648 1951 Parkhurst 14 Geoffrion PSA 5.
.....PSA
1205
Clean 5, this is well centered with very clean surfaces,
good color and strong borders. The corners show
mild and consistent wear only, the back is clean.
Ideal 5.
649 1954 Parkhurst 12 Mosdell PSA 7.......... 19
650 1954 Parkhurst 14 Harvey PSA 7.......... 80
Fine looking card has four sharp corners, a good
image and is reasonably well centered. Solid 7.
651 1954 Parkhurst 31 Horton PSA 7........ 147
Quality card of this beloved hockey HOFer and icon,
this card offers four super sharp corners and a
perfectly clean image. Centering to the upper right
corner keeps this at a very nice 7.
652 1954 Parkhurst 33 Sawchuk PSA 6.......... 56
Quality image of this legendary goalie, the card has
square corners and is centered to the upper right
corner. Very strong for the grade, this might be
undergraded.
653 1954 Parkhurst 41 Gordie Howe
PSA 6........ 106
Quality earlier Gordie Howe card, this one has four
square corners, perfectly clean borders and a terrific
image. The back is clean, the color is strong. A flick of
wear by one corner led PSA to grade this a somewhat
conservative 6.
654 1954 Topps 6 Real Chevrefils PSA 7........ 60
Crisp and well centered, very high-end 7.
655 1954 Topps Complete Set
Ex............ 1000
Classic Topps set, the first hockey set. A high grade
set as singles brought over $50,000 in our last auction
but this will of course not approach those numbers!
The ungraded cards are mostly just shy of Ex, we
bumped up the overall grade on the set due to the
graded 5s on the key cards. Pleasing set with clean
backs and great images, ideal mid-grade offering.
The key cards are as follows: 1 Dick Gamble VG+,

656 1980 OPC 140 Bourque RC
BVG 9.5.... 300
Desirable Beckett Gem Mint 9.5 of this vital hockey
Rookie Card. Fully deserving of its grade, this has
four absolutely perfect corners, perfect centering, an
immaculate image and a flawless reverse. The photo
is crystal clear.
659 Roy Campanella
8........................... 600
Very neat piece, this is truly rare. Offered is a very
high grade ONL Frick mini-baseball. Adorable in
person, this is utterly charming. Signed “Best Wishes
Roy Campanella” in pleasing black ink at the top of a
side panel, this has been very, very subtly clear-coated for protection. A fine pre-accident Campy autograph on a baseball, this would bring a huge price
on a full size baseball yet offers much more charm
and rarity than the typical item that comes to market. Who wants to fill in a really tough hole in an
advanced HOF or Brooklyn Dodger single signed
baseball collection? JSA LOA.
Single Signed Baseballs
657 Muhammed Ali
9.5 (PSA 8.5)....... 300
Spotless OAL Brown ball has a flawless Muhammed
Ali black ink signature on the sweet spot. The fine autograph looks great against the clean ball and this is
graded Nm-Mt Plus 8.5 by PSA DNA. Elusive ball to
find in this quality, highly collectible of course given
the subject. JSA LOA.
658 Johnny Allen (rare)
9........................... 250
Rare ball, this obscure 1914 Baltimore Federal
League player died in 1967. Probably the only one
in circulation, the ball is a clean ONL Giles model
signed “Best Wishes John M. Allen” in especially
bold blue ballpoint ink on a side panel. JSA LOA.
661 Roberto Clemente
4 (ONL Giles)..... 500
Pleasing mid-grade ONL Giles ball is off-white but
fairly clean. This is signed and inscribed by Clemente, with a light but certainly legible signature on
the right panel in blue ink. Signed in the 1960s, eminently affordable and presentable Clemente single.
JSA LOA.
98
660 Nestor Chylak
9 (pers)................ 300
Very desirable and scarce single signed ball of this
popular HOF umpire. Chylak died in 1982, 17 years
before being inducted into the HOF in 1999. He can
usually only be found on a 3x5, single signed balls
are a big deal. The offered ball is a very clean OAL
Cronin model. I like this ball as it has lots of writing:
“To Jerry Best Wishes Study Hard Nestor Chylak Jr.
American League Umpire.” Signature and inscription is in extremely neat and attractive blue ink. You
have to like all of the writing here, it almost fills an
entire panel! Very early for a Chylak, most are from
the late 1970s, this is the earliest example that we
have seen. JSA LOA.
662 Mickey Cochrane
3.5........................ 300
Very tough ball, the offered ball is nice as it is signed
on an early 1930s multi-color stitched OAL Harridge
ball. Signed as a player by Cochrane, this is very unusual as almost all Cochrane singles are in ballpoint
ink from the late 1940s through his death in 1962.
The offered ball has admitted condition issues as the
signature is very light; with that said, it is certainly a
legible autograph and the price is right! JSA LOA.
October 7 Auction: Single Signed Balls
663 Joe Cronin
8........................... 350
Offered is a fairly clean and white Rawlings Little
League model ball. This ball has some general wear
but is clean overall. This is singly signed by HOFer
Joe Cronin on the sweet spot: “good luck Joe Cronin” in attractive flowing blue ballpoint ink. A better
single, Cronin died in 1983 and is missing from most
single signed ball collections. JSA LOA.
664 Dizzy Dean
9........................... 600
Fine looking Playmaker vintage baseball is single
signed by baseball legend Dizzy Dean. Signed in large
black ballpoint ink on his usual spot on a side panel,
this happens to be an outstanding autograph. Exemplary quality, one of the nicest that we have handled,
these have become a true bargain at current market
levels. D’75. JSA LOA.
665 Bill Dickey
9 (ONL Giles, vintage)...... 195
Terrific ball, Bill Dickey can be found on OAL Brown
balls signed near the end of his life but anything
before the late 1980s is utterly unheard of (at least to
us). The offered ball is a very clean ONL Giles ball,
signed neatly at the top of a side panel by Dickey in
period blue ink. This is a different style autograph
from the later Dickeys that trade, making this even
more special. A key Yankee HOF catcher, this is perfect for someone who only wants the best Bill Dickey
ball you can find. JSA LOA.
666 Joe DiMaggio 8 (to Bret Saberhagen).... 250
OAL Brown ball was almost certainly used in a game.
Very cool ball, as this is signed: “To Bret Continued Future Success Joe DiMaggio” in flowing black
ballpoint. Saberhagen was a 2-time Cy Young Award
winner and World Series Champion. Joe hardly
ever signed baseballs like this; very, very unique Joe
DiMaggio single. JSA LOA.
667 Warren Giles
9......................... 1000
Very, very tough ball, this is by far the finest example
that we have ever seen (it was originally purchased
from us in 2011). The ball is a clean Official New
York Penna League model and displays quite well.
This is signed very boldly by this HOF executive just
to the left of the sweet spot in fine black ink with a
dramatic flourish; an inscription is on the top panel.
Giles died in 1979, the same year as his induction
into Cooperstown, so single signed balls are naturally
quite scarce, even rare. The offered ball is far, far superior to any example sold publicly that we could see
and will very ably fill a tough hole in even the most
advanced single signed ball collections. JSA LOA.
668 Lefty Grove
9......................... 1050
By most accounts, Lefty Grove is either the greatest
pitcher in baseball history or in the top two or three.
Grove died in 1975 and was a regular signer through
the mail but as with so many other players, hardly
ever comes up on a baseball by himself. The offered
ball is the nicest Lefty Grove single we have ever
offered by far and one of only a handful of clean
(non-sharpie) examples that we have ever seen.
Signed in 1954 on a clean Ralph Kiner model ball,
this little treasure offers a superb bold blue ballpoint
ink signature right on the sweet spot. Tremendous
quality, we just love the idea of a single signed baseball from arguably the greatest pitcher in baseball
history! JSA LOA.
99
October 7 Auction: Single Signed Balls
669 Travis Jackson
9 (ONL Feeney)........ 250
Tougher ball, this 1920s and 1930s New York Giant
HOFer died in 1987 and is missing from most single signed ball runs. It is also unusual to find Travis
Jackson on a Feeney ball. The ball has some slight
toning but is certainly more than clean overall. Good
ball to use to fill in this hole in your HOF single
signed ball collection. JSA LOA.
671 Tom Lasorda (lot of 12) 9 (Selig).
...........
9 (Selig)
150
Clean box of Tommy LaSorda singles. Each is a clean
Selig ball and is signed “Tommy LaSorda HOF 8-397” in black ink. Signatures are quite strong overall.
JSA LOA.
670 Kenesaw Mountain Landis 7................ 1200
Rare single, this is from one of the most important
figures in the history of baseball. Landis died in 1944
and is available on letters but hardly ever comes on
a baseball let alone by himself. Offered is a clean
ONL Heydler model ball. This has lots of writing on
the sweet spot, with an inscription and full Kenesaw
Mountain Landis signature. I could only imagine
how Landis would have handled the steroid era in
baseball! Terrific piece is actually really nice for one
of these given the quality of the ball itself and the
reasonably pleasing signature. JSA LOA.
672 Connie Mack
8 (OAL Harridge)....... 500
Pleasing example of this desirable single, Connie
Mack is of course one of the great figures in baseball
history. Offered is a very clean OAL Harridge ball
that has a fairly large and attractive Connie Mack
signature on the sweet spot. Penned on the panel just
below is Connie Mack Dinner Binyon’s Feb. 13, 1954
in ornate period ink; Ralph Gutsell is written in the
same hand on the opposing panel. We assume this little treasure was given away at that dinner. Very nice
Connie Mack ball is a ball that really has to be in any
serious HOF single signed ball collection. JSA LOA.
673 Mickey Mantle 8 (to Bret Saberhagen)... 300
Very neat ball as this is personally signed: “To Bret
Best Wishes Mickey Mantle” in Mint blue ballpoint.
The ball is a toned OAL Brown model. Baseballs
signed by Mickey Mantle to other name players
are extremely scarce and desirable. Saberhagen, a
two-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series
MVP, is certainly a name player. JSA LOA.
674 Mickey Mantle
9.5 (OAL Brown, HOF 74)............. 350
High grade OAL Brown ball looks great. This is special as it is signed “Mickey Mantle HOF 74” in bold
and spotless blue ink on the sweet spot. Mantle hardly ever did inscriptions other than #7, making these
thousands of times scarcer than the usual Mantle
single. Terrific quality, highly desirable Mickey Mantle signature will fill one of the most vital holes in any
HOF single signed ball collection. JSA LOA.
675 Roger Maris
9........................... 600
Spotless OAL Cronin ball, this one is exceptionally
nice. Signed and inscribed on his usual spot on the
side panel, this is a lovely signature. Graded an 8.5
by PSA/DNA, but that honestly seems low. Superb
Maris single, this would be a $5,000 and up ball were
it not for the personalization! JSA LOA.
100
676 Joe McCarthy
9 (ONL Giles)..... 450
Fine piece, this is an evenly toned ONL Giles model
ball signed by the greatest manager in baseball history (in our and many other people’s opinion). This is
signed and extensively inscribed on the sweet spot, a
lovely blue ballpoint ink autograph. Very fine example of this underrated single, I personally love all of
the writing on the sweet spot. JSA LOA.
October 7 Auction: Single Signed Balls
677 Jackie Robinson
6......................... 1500
Vital single signed baseball of one of the most consequential players in all of baseball history and a true
American hero. The offered ball is an evenly toned
Official Special League model that looks to be from
the 1950s. The ball exhibits mild general wear, giving
it a nice antique look and feel. Signed by Jackie at
the top of one side panel, this is a pleasing blue ink
autograph. Jackie singles have understandably been
appreciating rapidly in recent years as the world is
finally catching up to him, so any Jackie single now,
especially with a personalization, is special. The
offered ball received an almost ridiculous grade of
4 from PSA/DNA, take it as you will but we feel the
autograph itself grades a 6/10 (without respect to the
condition of the ball). Pleasing Jackie single, a musthave for any serious HOF or Brooklyn Dodger single
signed baseball collection. JSA LOA.
678 Babe Ruth
4......................... 1250
Affordable Ruth single, this is a clear-coated City
League model with a pleasing antique look and feel.
Signed and inscribed by Ruth, Babe pens an entire
panel. The signature is light but certainly legible and
the kind of thing that will look better in person than
in an auction catalog due to its nature. Attractive,
well preserved Babe Ruth single. JSA LOA.
679 Pie Traynor
7........................... 900
Very desirable single, many consider Harold Pie
Traynor to be the best third baseman up through
Brett and Schmidt. Traynor died in 1972, and happens to be an exceedingly tough single. Offered is
a very clean Spalding Official model ball. Signed
in ink on the sweet spot, a respectable 7/10 overall
autograph. The autograph is clear and distinct and
contrasts fairly well against the clean ball. 1955 is
written in another hand on a top panel, so we have
to assume that this is when it was signed. Who wants
to cross a very tough name off of their HOF single
signed ball collection? JSA LOA.
680 Collection of 20 Different HOF Singles
w/Aaron, Mays & Yaz 9........................... 300
Solid lot of 20 single signed balls, almost all HOFers,
very clean overall, only a few have toning. These are
all on official balls. Content is much, much better
than usually found on these types of lots as it includes
Hank Aaron, Ken Griffey Jr Willie Mays, Nolan
Ryan, Mike Schmidt, Tom Seaver and Yaz. These are
classic single signed balls and are an amazing value
in today’s market. Exact content is as follows: Hank
Aaron, Steve Avery, Ernie Banks (Mr. Cub), Johnny
Bench, Bob Gibson, Ken Griffey Jr, Tony Gwynn,
Reggie Jackson, Willie Mays, Joe Morgan, Stan Musial, Tony Perez, Cal Ripken, Frank Robinson, Pete
Rose, Nolan Ryan, Mike Schmidt, Tom Seaver, Frank
Thomas (light) and Carl Yastrzemski. JSA LOA.

October 7 Auction: Signed Baseballs
681 Extremely Comprehensive 1961 Yankees Single
Signed Ball Collection (39 different) 9.5...... 300
Fine lot of 1961 Yankee singles, our consignor is simply a huge fan. There is no Elston Howard or Maris
but this has both batboys, most of the coaches and
also many of the balls have 1961 inscriptions and
such. Condition is quite clean overall, all are on
official balls. Better balls include Berra, Boyer, Cerv,
Crosetti, Ford, Houk, Kubek, Richardson, Sain and
Skowron. These lots represent such a great value,
especially since sadly many of these players have
passed away in recent years. JSA LOA.
682 Collection of 36 Singles w/HOFers 9....... 400
Respectable lot of mostly former star players, no real
junk or bulk for the most part. All are on clean
official balls. Better players include Barfield, Blue,
Burks, J. Clark, Jenkins, Joyner, Mattingly, Minoso,
Palmer, Parker, Pignatano, Pinella, Staub, Viola, B.
Williams and W. Wood. JSA LOA.
Multi-Signed Baseballs
683 1930s Tour Ball w/HOFers 7..................... 180
Interesting piece of period memorabilia, this unofficial clearly game used ball is marked Major League
Barnstorming Moorhead Oct 9, 1932 on the sweet
spot. This real relic is signed by 11 HOFers. Heinie
Manush is on his own panel and is fully displayable
as a single. The other HOFers are Lefty Grove and
Charlie Gehringer. Other better signatures include
Eric McNair (D’49), Earl Whitehill (D’54), Joe
Judge, Nick Altrock, Babe Herman and Luke Sewell.
Charming balls like this are evocative of an era in
which the baseball players made a limited income
and went on tours to supplement their salaries.
Nice piece. JSA LOA.
102
684 1960s era Old Timers/Stars w/Mantle,
Stengel & Hodges (23 sigs)
7..................... 175
Shellacked ball, this has some slight wear. The ball
itself is an OAL Harridge model that is otherwise
not bad at all. There are 23 signatures, including
eight HOFers. Likely signed during the 1963 or 1964
World Series, this has some great names including a
real vintage Mantle on the sweet spot, Johnny Keane
(D’67, rare), Bill Shea (rare on a ball), Warren Giles,
Max Carey, Gil Hodges, Casey Stengel, Joe Cronin,
Yogi Berra, Elston Howard and Maury Wills.
JSA LOA.
685 1978 World Series w/Lindsay Nelson,
Joe DiMaggio & More
9..................... 180
Neat ball, this is an evenly toned 1978 World Series
model. Signed by 8 different people, all of whom are
interesting. These signatures start with beloved HOF
broadcaster Linsday Nelson, displayable as a single!
Other signatures include Joe DiMaggio, Tommy
LaSorda, Ralph Kiner, Bill Virdon, Chub Fenney
(scarce on ball) and the opera singer Robert Merrill.
JSA LOA.
686 High Quality Yankee Old Timers
w/Joe DiMaggio and Duke Maas (22 sigs) 9........ 250
Lovely ball, this is a superb ONL Giles model. There
are 22 strikingly fine and consistent blue ballpoint
ink autographs. There are three HOFers present: Joe
DiMaggio, Bill Dickey and Whitey Ford. Better nonHOFers include the ever elusive Duke Maas (D’76),
Red Rolfe, Joe Page, Spec Shea, Charlie Keller, Vic
Raschi, Allie Reynolds, Bobby Richardson and Tommy Henrich. It would difficult to imagine a cleaner
or more consistent vintage Yankee Old Timers signed
ball than the offered model. JSA LOA.
October 7 Auction: Multi-Signed Baseballs
687 HOFers/Stars w/Dean, Hartnett
& Waner (18 sigs, 10 HOFers) 8.................. 350
Lightly clear-coated OAL Cronin model ball has 18
generally solid blue ink autographs (a few show
bleeding, check the images on our web site). Fine ball
as this offers no less than 10 HOFers! Likely a HOF
Induction ball from the 1960s, keys include a superb
Bill McKechnie on the league seal (he is very scarce
on a ball in this era), Dizzy Dean, Gabby Hartnett,
Paul Waner, Ducky Medwick, Pepper Martin, Edd
Rousch, Johnny MIze, Bucky Walters, Rip Collins
and Early Wynn. JSA LOA.
688 HOFers/Stars w/Jackie Robinson
& Satchel Paige
8..................... 700
Fine looking ball, this is a very subtly clear-coated
OAL Cronin model ball. There are 17 very bold and
consistent red ink signatures that contrast nicely against the ball. This ball offer no less than 15
HOFers! The names and combinations are terrific,
with note to Jackie Robinson, Satchel Paige and
Larry Doby all on the same ball. In addition, this
has Hank Greenberg, Gabby Hartnett, Dizzy Dean,
Heinie Manush, Lefty Grove, Frankie Frisch, Carl
Hubbell, Joe Cronin and Pee Wee Reese. This was
almost certainly signed at a HOF induction in the
1960s, great ball. JSA LOA.
689 HOFers/Stars w/Traynor, Frisch
& Stengel (23 sigs)
9..................... 400
Lovely ball, offered is a quite clean unmarked ball
from the 1960s. There are 26 fine and perfectly
matched blue ballpoint ink signatures, with note to
16 HOFers! These are not the garden variety HOFers
as a note, including names like Pie Traynor, Ford
Frick, George Weiss (very scarce on a ball), Frankie
Frisch, Lefty Grove, Casey Stengel, Joe DiMaggio
and Charlie Gehringer. Better non-HOFers include
Jimmie Dykes, Johnny VanderMeer, Charlie Keller
and Allie Reynolds. Great ball of its kind. JSA LOA.
690 Mack, Connie Signed Ball (sweet spot) 7..... 275
Very attractive off-white Official League multi-color
stitched ball from the 1920s or 1930s. Signed on the
sweet spot by Connie Mack in black fountain pen, a
pleasing signature. Bing Miller signed on a side panel, the Mack is 100% displayable as a single.
JSA LOA.
691 Mantle Signed ONL Giles Old Timers Ball
9..................... 150
Super clean ONL Giles ball has a very bold career-era Mickey Mantle signature on the sweet spot.
The ball has eight other signatures, including a lovely
Elston Howard that is displayable as a single, Houk,
Adcock and Latman. Mantle signed balls of this kind
from the 1960s hardly ever come to market.
JSA LOA.
692 Mantle w/last home run pitchers! 9.5....... 180
Very creative and interesting ball, this is a Mint OAL
Brown model with an absolutely spotless and superb
Mickey Mantle autograph on the sweet spot. In a
great touch, this is signed on the top panel by Jim
Lonborg, who also wrote 536th HR 9/20/68 and on
the bottom panel by Bob Gibson who penned 18th
WS HR 10/15/64. This is the first we have seen one of
these, great contemporary signed baseball. Included
is a letter from Greer Johnson and a copy of an
LOA from Bob Gibson. JSA LOA.
693 Mantle/Maris Signed Ball 8..................... 900
Clean OAL Brown ball presents quite well. This is
signed in uniformly consistent and attractive blue
ballpoint ink by both players. Mickey Mantle on the
sweet spot and by Roger on his usual spot on the side
panel. The signatures contrast nicely against the ball.

October 7 Auction: Multi-Signed Baseballs
694 Old Timers w/D. Dean & P. Waner
(13 sigs)8..................... 400
Great ball, this is a clear-coated but otherwise fairly
clean OAL Cronin model. Signed in the 1960s, this
has 13 fine period blue ink signatures. This is a fine
ball as it offers autographs of six HOFers. Keys include Dizzy and Paul Dean! (rare to find on the same
ball), Paul Waner (very tough on a ball), Max Carey,
Rube Marquard, Carl Hubbell, Pee Wee Reese, Jim
Konstanty, Lefty O’Doul (D’69), Stan Hack and Don
Newcombe. The Paul Waner autograph is superb,
this ball has a lot going for it! JSA LOA.
695 Old Timers w/Foxx, Grove & Maris 8........ 900
Fairly unique ball, this is a clear-coated OAL Cronin
model from the 1960s. Extremely desirable, this ball
boasts 22 fairly bold period ink signatures, a few of
which have bled a bit (please consult the images of
all panels on our web site). There are nine HOFers
and some fine secondary star players. The key to this
ball is a superb Jimmie Foxx on his own panel over
the seal. Other better signatures include Greenberg,
Grove, Dickey, DiMaggio, Maris, Johnny Murphy,
Red Rolfe, Joe McCarthy and Earl Averill. Fairly
unique ball, how many signed baseballs exist with
Jimmie Foxx, Roger Maris, Hank Greenberg and Joe
DiMaggio together? In light of this uniqueness and
stellar star power, we feel the condition issues can be
forgiven. Please note this comes in the original box.

696 Old Timers w/Jackie Robinson (16 sigs)
8..................... 700
Fairly unique ball, this is a clear-coated OAL Cronin
model from the 1960s. Extremely desirable, this ball
boasts 16 fairly bold period ink signatures, a few of
which have bled a bit (please consult the images of all
panels on our web site). There are seven HOFers and
some fine secondary star players. The key to this ball
is a fine Jackie on the bottom of one panel (Jackie is
very unusual to find on these types of balls). Other better signatures include a strong Paul Waner,
Pepper Martin, Ernie Lombardi, Joe Medwick, Rip
Collins, Billy Herman, Bucky Walter and Van Lingle
Mungo. In light of this uniqueness and star power, we
feel the condition issues can be forgiven. Please note
this comes in the original box. JSA LOA.
697 Ruth/Gehrig Signed Early 1930s Ball
3..................... 750
One one of the weakest condition Ruth/Gehrig balls
you will find, this is a completely toned OAL Harridge model ball. There are over 13 signatures on this
ball, with note to HOFers Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig,
Joe Cronin, Hank Greenberg, Mickey Cochrane and
Rick Ferrell. Non-HOFers include Tom Bridges, JoJo
White and Wes Ferrell. Please note our photos will be
enhanced so the autographs are visible but the ball
itself is fully dark and the autographs are not easy to
discern. Please note Ruth, Gehrig and Greenberg and
are among the clearer autographs on the ball.

9 (OAL Cronin)......... 150
Neat ball, this is a fine looking OAL Cronin model
signed at an Old Timers Day game or other event in
the 1960s. Solid ball as it offers a superb earlier Joe
DiMaggio on the sweet spot, Elston Howard on his
own panel (displayable as a single, superb quality),
Tom Henrich and Gil McDougald. This comes with
the original box. JSA LOA.
October 7 Auction: Team Signed Baseballs
698 Truman, Harry Signed 1924 World Series
Reunion Ball w/6 HOFers 5..................... 600
Very interesting baseball, we believe this is a 1924
World Series 30th anniversary reunion ball. The ball
itself has toning and may have seen some game use.
There are 14 fairly legible signatures, but keep in
mind nothing is perfect here. The sweet spot is signed
by President Truman and Senators HOFer Bucky
Harris, another panel by Schacht, McNeely, Ruel and
Bluege, another by Bill Terry and Jack Bentley and a
third by Frankie Frisch himself. The final side panel
has four legible signatures, including Sam Rice, Billy
Southworth, Travis Jackson and Irish Meusel. Presidential signed balls from this era are extremely rare,
this is one of only a handful to exist in our opinion.
In addition to the Truman autograph, this is nice as
it has six HOF autographs. Very interesting ball ideal
for an advanced or eclectic collector. JSA LOA.
701 1927 Yankees Team Ball w/real Gehrig
6............. 1700
Evenly toned Spalding Cork Center ball has some
spots of wear but is not bad at all overall. This
has 26 fairly consistent period ink signatures. The
Babe Ruth is unfortunately clubhouse as is fairly
typical but this also means this will probably not
cost $10,000 or more, putting this within the budget range of a much wider base of collectors. This
ball has an awful lot going for it, with note to a nice
earlier Lou Gehrig and fellow HOFers Herb Pennock, Waite Hoyt, Tony Lazzeri and Earle Combs.
Crucially, this has a nice example of the ultra-rare
Urban Shocker (D’1928) as well as rarities Johnny
Grabowski (D’1946 at age 46), Joe Giard (D’56),
Charles O’Leary, Pat Collins and Myles Thomas.
Great ball overall from the ultimate baseball team,
a team revered to this day by all baseball fans. This
is also a simply incredible value as these autographs
could easily command close to $10,000 just as cuts.

700 1923 Red Sox Team Ball
w/Frank Chance3.5............ 500
Medium grade OAL Johnson ball has about eight
legible signatures. This is a special ball as it has
the ultra rare autograph of HOFer Frank Chance
(D’1924 at age 48). The other legible signatures
are Howard Ehmke (D’1959), George Burns, Mike
Menosky, Norm McMillan, Jack Quinn (D’1946),
Howie Shanks (D’1941) and Joe Harris (D’1959). If
you are doing an advanced HOF signed ball collection, Frank Chance is of course not available as a
single, the offered ball may be your only chance to fill
in this otherwise impossible hole in your collection.
Fresh to the hobby, a profound rarity on a baseball,
I believe this is the first time that we ever offered a
Frank Chance autograph in our auctions. JSA LOA.
702 1928 Yankees Team Ball
w/real Gehrig - from Game 1 World Series! 6... 1500
Clean OAL Barnard ball is quite nice. This has autographs from 18 team members. October 4, 1928 is
written at the bottom of one panel, so we believe
this was signed during game one of the 1928 World
Series. This has a clubhouse Ruth but everything else
is good. The ball is a fairly clean OAL Barnard model
and while the signatures are certainly not Mint, they
do present quite well. Keys include a pleasing Lou
Gehrig, Lazzeri, Pipgras, Bengough, Meusel, Durst,
Paschal, Dugan, Zachary, Thomas, Grabowski (rare),
Pat Collins and Mike Gazella. JSA LOA.

October 7 Auction: Team Signed Baseballs
703 1933 Senators Team Ball
4............... 180
Lower grade Brines Official League ball has 17 total
signatures. Rougher ball, the signatures vary and
are not great. With that said, this is a very elusive
AL Championship team ball, the last Senators team
to make it to the World Series. Better autographs
include HOFers Heinie Manush and Joe Cronin, as
well as Stone, Travis, Crowder, Whitehill, Schacht
and Bluege. JSA LOA.
704 1937 White Sox (Lyons Displayable Single)
9............... 120
Toned Official game ball from the late 1930s. This
has eight rather bold period green fountain pen signatures. This is dated July 27, 1937 on the sweet spot.
Good ball as it is 100% displayable as a HOFer Ted
Lyons vintage single signed ball. The other signatures
are Luke Sewell (also displayable as a single), Appling, Bonura, Rosenthal, Rensa, Cain and Berger.
JSA LOA.
705 1937 PCL Ball w/pre-Rookie Ted Williams
5*............. 225
Extremely rare ball has some serious condition issues. With that said, this offers a pre-Red Sox Ted
Williams autograph from 1937, among the earliest
known Ted Williams signatures on a basball. The ball
itself is a Wilson Official PCL Ball with a mounting
hole on the seal and damage to one panel, which
unfortunately removes most of Jimmie Foxx’s autograph. The vital Ted Williams autograph is about
a 5/10 and at the top of one panel. Other signatures
include Shires, Kress, Lowery and Novikoff. This ball
really should be in any serious Ted Williams or
PCL ball collection. JSA LOA.

706 1950 NL All Stars Team Ball
w/Campanella & Robinson8............. 1000
Toned but clean ONL Frick ball, interesting ball as
1948 All Stars is written in period ink by the top of
one panel but in fact the ball is a 1950. There are 26
signatures on the ball in varying shades of ink. The
autographs vary in darkness but most are fairly nice
(all sides are pictured on our web site). A very high
quality ball as this has earlier signatures of Jackie Robinson and Roy Campanella, in addition to
Stan Musial, Warren Spahn, Jim Konstanty, Eddie
Stanky, Robin Roberts, Ralph Kiner, Red Schoendienst, Pee Wee Reese and Gil Hodges. The Campy
autograph is one of the best on the ball, there is slight
wear on the J in Jackie Robinson’s autograph, otherwise it is nice too. This is not a ball that comes around
very often, full NL All Star balls with Campy and
Jackie are always extremely desirable. JSA LOA.
707 1956 Brooklyn Dodgers Team Ball 8......... 1250
Great ball, higher grade Brooklyn Dodger team balls
have become very hard to find in recent years and
inevitably bring big numbers when they come up for
public sale. The offered ball is special, it is a white
and clean Official Baseball model with 27 strong and
consistent period blue ink signatures. A great ball on
many levels, there are six HOFers, with note to Rookie Don Drysdale, who hardly ever comes on a 1956
Dodgers ball. Other keys include Jackie Robinson
from his final year, Roy Campanella, Walt Alston,
Sandy Koufax, Pee Wee Reese, GIl Hodges, Jim Gilliam, Carl Furillo, Sal Maglie and Don Newcombe.
Also amazing for a Dodger ball from this era is that
the only clubhouse signature is Duke Snider. Not
perfect but nonetheless an exceptionally clean and
desirable team ball from the final Brooklyn Dodger
World Series team (who famously succombed to the
Yankees and Don Larsen). JSA LOA.
October 7 Auction: Team Signed Baseballs
708 1956 NL All Stars
Team Ball (world class)
9.5............ 900
Stunning ball, this is a Mint OAL Harridge model
ball that has been signed by 24 members of the 1956
National League All Star team. This is among the
very cleanest All Star balls from this era that we
have ever seen. The ball itself is superb, as are the
signatures, signed boldly in matching period blue
ink. This has no less than 10 HOFers of the 24 on the
ball and these include Campanella, Mays, a stunning
Rookie Frank Robinson, Walt Alston, Musial, Spahn,
Mathews, Snider, Roberts and Banks. As if that was
not enough, this also has top quality signatures of
the elusive Jim Gilliam (D’77), Ted Kluszewski, Dale
Long, Gus Bell and Johnny Temple. It would be hard
to imagine a nicer All Star ball from the 1950s.
JSA LOA.
709 1956 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Ball 8........... 800
Key ball, this is only the second year for Roberto
Clemente. The ball is a fairly clean ONL Giles model
with only slight wear. There are 24 total signatures,
with only one clubhouse (Mazeroski). The key signature of Clemente is signed Bob Clemente in his
style at this time at the top of one side panel. Other
signatures include Dale Long, Dick Groat, Elroy
Face, Vern Law, Bobby Bragan and Bill Virdon. The
signatures vary a bit, but most are nice. JSA LOA.
710 1957 Pirates Team Ball w/Clemente 8......... 350
Offered is a pleasing evenly toned ONL Giles model
ball (1957 Pirates is written above the seal). The ball
has 19 signatures, generally light but legible, but the
early Clemente autograph happens to be one of the
nicest on the ball. In addition to Clemente, autographs include Mazeroski, Law, Face, Groat, Freind,
Virdon and Thomas. JSA LOA.
7111959 LA Dodgers Team Ball
8.5............ 750
Tougher World Championship ball, we have not had
one in some time. Clean ball is an ONL Giles model,
with a full 33 signatures. These vary a bit but are
more than acceptable overall. This ball offers four
HOFers: Alston, Drysdale, Koufax and Reese. In addition, there are quality names like Hodges, Furillo,
Neal, Roseboro and Dressen. Quality ball will nicely
fill this hole in your Championship team run.
JSA LOA.
712 1959 Pirates Team Ball w/real Clemente
7............... 200
Toned ONL Giles ball may have a very subtle cost of
clear-coat. This is not a Near Mint ball but has nice
character and is a pleasing mid-grade example
overall. There are 25 fairly consistent period blue
ink signatures and 1959 is written in vintage ink on
one panel. Keys include a real Clemente, Mazeroski, Murtaugh, Haddix, Groat, Hoak, Burgess, Face,
Kluszewski and Law. This ball is very unusual as
Clemente is on the sweet spot, something we hardly
EVER see. Quality ball. JSA LOA.
713 1960 Pirates Team Ball (1960 - 1961) 8....... 300
Clean Pittsburgh Pirates model ball has 28 total signatures. Keys include a solid Clemente on his usual
spot at the bottom of one panel, Bill Mazeroski, Harvey Haddix, Smoky Burgess, Bill Virdon, the elusive
Don Hoak (D’69) and Vern Law; Danny Murtaugh is
the usual clubhouse. Signatures vary somewhat but
are generally bold and fine. As the World Championship 1960 and the 1961 teams are so similar, it was
not possible to discern the exact year of this ball but
either way this is clearly a very desirable ball with its
fine Roberto Clemente autograph. JSA LOA.

714 1960 Yankees Team Ball w/real Maris 8..... 200
Toned OAL Cronin model ball has some general wear
but still displays reasonably well. There are 24 fairly
consistent and attractive blue ballpoint ink signatures. Keys include Mantle (only ch), Maris, Berra,
Ford, Howard, Kubek, Maas, Richardson, McDougald and Shantz. Not a Near Mint ball, but this ball
has its charms. JSA LOA.
715 1961 Yankees Team Ball (reunion) 9.......... 300
Perfectly clean OAL Brown ball is loaded with 30
signatures from this beyond legendary Yankee World
Championship team. Signatures are strikingly consistent, this is a conservative 9/10 in our view. Keys
include Mantle, Berra, Ford, Sain, Torgeson, Tresh,
Houk, Skowron and Cerv. JSA LOA.
718 1963 Yankees Team Ball w/real Mantle 9... 500
Spotless ball, this is a pristine OAL Cronin model
that is snow white and in the original box. The ball
has 25 fine period ink signatures, with note to a real
Mantle on the sweet spot, which is so unusual. Unfortunately, Maris, Pepitone and Metcalf are clubhouse
but you want this ball for the Mantle and the condition. Other better signatures, all authentic, include
Berra, Ford, Elston Howard, Kubek, Richardson and
Bouton. This is one of the whitest 1960s Yankees team
balls one is ever likely to encounter. JSA LOA.
719 1966 Orioles Team Ball
8............... 175
Clean OAL Cronin ball has 30 period ink signatures.
Frank Robinson is the usual clubhouse, but this has
Aparicio, Palmer, Brooks Robinson, Brabender, Lau,
McNally, Lollar, Powell and Bauer. Signatures are
clean overall. Affordable World Championship team
ball from the 1960s JSA LOA.
716 1961 Yankees Team Ball w/real Maris 9.... 300
Clean Baseball Hall of Fame ball has been signed by
24 members of the 1961 Yankees at the time. The
Mantle is clubhouse like usual but the Maris is real
and superbly bold. Also included are Elston Howard, Ford, Berra, Skowron, Kubek, Richardson and
Tresh. Nice ball. JSA LOA.
717 1963 Dodgers Team Ball
8............... 300
Clean Dodgers model baseball has 25 consistent ink
signatures. Keys include Koufax, Drysdale, Alston,
Wills, Howard, Moon, Reiser and Durocher. Skowron
was only with the Dodgers in 1963, dating this as a
World Championship team ball. This actually came
from Skowron’s personal collection and also includes
a game used ball from 1963 for a game against the
Cubs and an LOA from the Skowron family. Nice
pair. JSA LOA.

720 1967Pirates
Team Ball w/Clemente & Rookie Tom Seaver 8... 500
High grade ONL Giles ball has 19 total signatures.
Murtaugh is the usual clubhouse. This is desirable as
it has a pleasing large Roberto Clemente autograph
on his usual spot on a side panel. Other signatures
include Stargell, Mazeroski, Tom Seaver, Vern Law,
Maury Wills and Elroy Face. The Rookie Seaver signature is at the bottom of one panel and looks terrific. Fairly unique ball. JSA LOA.

any variance. Keys include Roger Maris, Bob Gibson,

Berra, Agee, Otis, Kranepool and Harrelson. Nice
ball. JSA LOA.
723 1969 Mets Team Ball
7............... 255
The signature of Jack DiLauro precisely dates this as
a 1969. The ball is a clean ONL Giles with 24 total
signatures. Hodges is the usual stamp, the other
signatures vary but most are nice. Better autographs
include Seaver, McGraw, Kranepool, Koonce, Agee,
Cleon Jones and Koosman (light). Affordable World
Championship team from a beloved group of players.
JSA LOA.
724 1969 Syracuse Chiefs
Team Ball w/pre-Rookie Thurman Munson 8...... 450
Very desirable ball, this is a clean ball signed during
a spring training game in 1969 between the New York
Yankees and their Syracuse Chiefs AAA team. The
ball is a Syracuse Chiefs model ball and is nice. There
are 23 attractive ink signatures in varying colors.
The absolute key to this is a super-early Thurman
Munson, signed at the top of a side panel in blue ink.
Other better signatures include Dick Howser, Curt
Blefary, Elston Howard, Roy White, Jim Hegan, Jake
Gibbs and Felipe Alou. This is a really a must-have
for any big Munson collector. Great ball with no
clubhouse signatures, condition is more than respectable. JSA LOA.

addition to the Clemente, other better signatures include Aaron, Bench, McCovey, Perez, Gibson, Torre,
Seaver, Wilhelm, for a total of nine HOFers. Also on
