March 2010 The Bulletin Album Competition There will be an album competition at PPGBA’s general meeting on Thursday March 18. • For albums containing images by more than one photographer, at least 75% of the images in the album The album rules are as follows: • Entries are due at the print registration table no later than 7:30 P.M. • Each member may submit one album, in addition to any print entered that evening. For just $100 ($150 non-members) you will have the chance to listen, share ideas and have your questions answered in a casual and friendly atmosphere. Note: Four Nights instructors have the right to prohibit student cameras during their sessions. If photography is permitted, all images taken during the event are to be used for educational or reference purposes only – they may not be used for studio display, advertising, promotions, or print competition. Anna will discuss different lighting situations at wedding and portrait shoots including backlit, flare, and very low light. We will also talk about how to find bounced light and natural vignettes in the real world, and using shadows and reflections for drama. Four Nights Partial registrations will not be accepted.
