SaphirKeramik - The story goes on In 2013 Laufen launched the innovative material SaphirKeramik, the world’s thinnest ceramic material in the bathroom. Since then, this has been the company’s leading product, generating a truly new trend in bathroom design by creating a new language of forms, that is now part of the collective imaginary: today, every washbasin and bath accessory can be expected to be much thinner and extreme hard. The enormous success of this innovation has prompted Laufen to move forward with its commitment to experimentation, constantly striving to create products of the highest quality, technology and design. Research on the opportunities offered by SaphirKeramik, in fact, continues and will continue, thanks to the collaboration with outstanding designers and partners. In addition, Laufen is concurrently continuing to develop bespoke projects, supporting professionals in the contract and residential sectors. All these ingredients have allowed the Swiss company to maintain its position as a leader for over one hundred years. Kartell by Laufen The project based on the established partnership between the iconic design of Kartell and the innovative quality of Laufen is enhanced by new contemporary and cosmopolitan moods. The flexibility provided by the “project on colour” can nimbly update the collection offerings, staying constantly in step with the times. Re-thinking traditional wood floor where rounded, beveled and curved boards along with a slight “bombé” effect of the surface create a new language in wood application. The smooth cut of the boards allows to play with new designs and compositions, which although similar to classic patterns of ancient wood floors, give life to modern and original herringbone, diagonal or full length geometries. Internationally established designer Patricia Urquiola describes her newly born creation: “The BISCUIT parquet collection for Listone Giordano, is a project that is derived from the idea of creating softness and tenderness. It is a “remake” of the traditional parquet, in which the curved ending of the panels and the modest bumping of the surface are creating a dynamic flooring with a soft and subtle tactility. The cut-out elements in the panels create a modular system which, although similar to classical motifs of antique wooden floors, allows you to build and play with contemporary drawings and compositions, straight or diagonal, randomly or statically, herringbone, mosaic whilst respecting the beauty of its roots”. 12 Hardwood Floors Collection showcased at MILANOHardwood CONTRACT DISTRICT Floors from 11 a.m until 7 p.m. Via melloni 3 corner via Hardwood Guicciardini 6, Milan Floors Event hardwood floors in cooperation with Inkiostro Bianco IN THE BLUE PAINTED OF BLUE April 12 to 17, From 10 to 21 Via Goito 3, Milan milldue edition At once a new market leader in the bathroom furnishings sector, and a highly evolved furnishing concept that delivers more than just functional solutions, for it conveys a notion of architectural design with endless possibilities of representation.
