Welcome to the last edition of our Newsletter for this year. To finish the year on a high
note, the staff at The Heights have prepared a fantastic variety of activities and programs.
The Heights maintains its commitment to listen and respond to the residents need for
community development initiatives through implementing a large number of services and
activities. We are happy to inform you that we were successful in attracting funds through
the Fairfield Club GRANTS Program to run new and exciting activities in 2014– 2015.

Decorative Painting
This class introduces beginners, intermediate and advanced
levels to a range of painting techniques on canvas, wood or
materials. The classes are taught on a project basis allowing
participants to develop their skills at their own pace.

Gentle Exercise Classes
Experience the benefits of exercise with classes led by an
accredited trainer. Participants learn a range of movements and
circuits along with the use of hand weights and resistance bands.

TAFE Outreach Computer Classes
Expressions of interest sought for TAFE Outreach Computer
Classes in 2015. These classes are run in partnership with
Wetherill Park TAFE Outreach. The classes will run for
approximately 16 weeks. Course is free, although a donation of
$48* is collected to cover morning tea, photocopying and other
administrative overheads.

GROUPS & OUTINGS
Neighbourhood Watch
The Mt Pritchard NHWGH has now been in operation for 18 months and has
a solid group of local residents with a common objective of improving the
safety and well-being for all residents of Mt Pritchard. The NHWG is pro-active
in conjunction with Cabramatta Police and Fairfield City Council re traffic
issues, crime and personal safety. We’re still looking for keen locals to join
and share ideas.

Take advantage of this service for seniors. You can be picked up and
dropped off at your front door. Shopping takes place at Stockland Mall Wetherill Park. Service runs every Friday alternating between Mt Pritchard
and Canley Heights surrounding suburbs. Places are limited and must be
booked in advance by calling 9823 7542 or 9728 4973 for availability.
