EBS ETAP Central Battery Systems The ETAP EBS range provides central battery systems for emergency lighting installations, ranging from small to large building projects and from new projects or renovation to standard lighting and specific emergency lighting. EBS products meet all safety, legal and functional requirements. With the EBS system, ETAP provides a full central battery product portfolio which complements its extensive range of high-quality lighting, emergency lighting and central monitoring systems. In addition to standard project requirements, central battery systems are very well suited to cover a number of special demands: Strong illumination requirements: in high risk industrial environments where a very high level of illumination must be provided to ensure optimum safety. ETAP | EBS Refurbishment of existing installations: re-use of installed wiring is the key driver. Accessibility issues as often found in production areas, market halls, and sport event areas, or in clean rooms or white rooms. EBS covers your emergency lightings needs Aesthetic integration: in buildings and sites with an architectural concept where escape route and anti-panic lighting is completely integrated into the normal functional lighting. Extended autonomy: a longer autonomy may be necessary in certain hospitals or elderly homes where periods of more than 3 hours of emergency back up are required. Extreme temperature conditions as in open car parks, outside emergency escape routes and cold stores or freezers. The batteries need to be well protected to ensure proper operation under all circumstances. EBS | ETAP The ETAP central battery system range consists of various products to meet the specific needs of each application: EBS Static EBS Superior EBS Static's configuration is pre-defined at the With EBS Superior a new concept of central emer- beginning of a project, based on the specific gency lighting is introduced. We guarantee seamless integration of all components, and an easy installation and commissioning. Pre-sales and post-sales assistance Starting from your defined escape route and fire contingency set up, ETAP will guide you throughout the whole emergency lighting project, from concept to implementation. Detailed lighting schemes and system dimensioning can be provided in the study phase. We then work out a detailed quote and assist you during the installation and commissioning. Once the system is up and running, we remain at your service for further assistance and troubleshooting. System integrity under control Using addressable surveillance modules in the emergency lighting luminaires and in the luminaires for general lighting purposes that are part of the emergency lighting, malfunctions of the luminaires can be located and visualised on the integrated LCD display, or transferred to a PC This allows operators and maintenance personnel to quickly and easily ensure emergency lighting system integrity. ETAP | EBS EBS properties & advantages Features Benefits System Powerful management capabilities All EBS systems contain a powerful yet easy to use control interface that monitors the normal power supply, operates the emergency output circuits and manages the periodic testing schemes of the entire installation. All systems Easy to use and intuitive control tools All ETAP systems are fitted with monitoring features for the electrical circuits, allowing individual luminaires to be monitored. They are visualised on the EBS control panel or a customised surveillance program on PC. All systems Simple configuration When using the addressable FLEX surveillance modules, maintained or non-maintained and switched maintained luminaires can be mixed in the same circuit, thus reducing the number of circuits needed to supply emergency energy to each zone. All systems High flexibility The ETAP EBS range can be customised to the needs of any building or site. Expanding or adapting the system to future changes at a later stage is easily done . EBS Dynamic EBS Superior Off the shelf availability Predefined configurations with a preset number of output circuits and offering a capacity up to 21 kWh, are available immediately. EBS Group EBS Dynamic Light Robust system architecture The EBS Superior system combines decentralised intelligence with centralised power management. The system vulnerability is thus minimised. EBS Superior Multi power sourcing The EBS Superior system is designed to operate with multiple power sources: battery supply, emergency generator or secondary mains supply.
