System. Sure stainless steel is
durable. Still, it can contain trace
amounts of carbon which, under harsh
conditions, can quickly cause rust and corrosion.
Remington’s TriNyte Corrosion Control System
provides an extra level of protection by encasing
the rugged stainless steel barreled action with a
multilayer, armor-tough coating consisting of
electroless nickel and zirconium nitride.
Although armor-like in toughness, the TriNyte
Corrosion Control System is not armor like in

Built on the famous Model 700™ cylindrical action, Remington® Varmint rifles are well known for being the most
accurate rifles we produce for over-the-counter sale. This year, we’d like to welcome two newly designed members to this
prestigious pedigree with the addition of the Model 700 VS SF™ II and the Model 700 VSF.™
Think of the Model 700 VS SF II as a facelift for the original VS SF. We’ve reconfigured our hand laid up
composite stock, responding to the requests of varmint hunters across America. Changes include a newly contoured
beavertail fore-end, palm swell, twin front swivel studs to accommodate sling and a bipod. Available in a black with
spruce green webbing stock, the VS SF II keeps the original VSSF barreled action, only now with blackened flutes.
Like the VS SF II, the Model 700 VS™ gets a makeover in the form of the Model 700 VSF. Its new stock design
mimics the VS SF II, but comes in desert tan with black webbing. Its traditional blued VS action now features

5 ⁄2 pounds long action, 5 1⁄4 pounds short action, and 6 3⁄ 8 pounds magnum – it’s the ultimate rifle for high-altitude spot and
stalk hunting. The key to its feathery feel starts with a titanium receiver that’s impervious to weather (drilled and tapped for
mounts). Titanium delivers incredible strength, but at a lighter weight than steel. Complementing the receiver is a bolt
featuring spiral-cut flutes and a skeleton handle – both of which further reduce the overall weight. Finally, the stainless-steel

In the mid-60’s Remington® introduced the Remington Model 600™ Magnum, a
rifle destined to become legendary with many big game guides. Decades later we bring to
you a modern version of the classic Model 600 – the Model 673™ Guide Rifle. Based on
the Model Seven™ action, this swift-handling rifle features a 22" magnum contour barrel
with distinct machined steel ventilated rib and iron sights. It is the definition of fast target
acquisition. But to consider the Model 673 as merely a performance oriented rifle is to sell
it short. Adorned in a two-tone wide striped, laminated, weather resistant straight comb

The Model 597™ is easily the most advanced autoloading rimfire rifle ever built, and the first breakthrough in
autoloading rimfire rifle technology in 35 years. The difference starts with our proprietary bolt-guidance system,
which features a unique set of twin tool-steel guide rails for better stability, feeding reliability and greater
out-of-the-box accuracy.
Of course, we didn’t stop there. The bolt, hammer and sear of the Model 597 all feature an exclusive
Teflon®/nickel plating for smooth, dependable operation and an ultra-crisp trigger pull. To assure
reliable, long-life accuracy, we’ve also incorporated a unique positive-locking, permanently rigid
barrel attachment clamp. Receivers are grooved for standard rimfire mounts and
tapped/drilled for Weaver-style bases. The Model 597 magazine includes
