ASK Resource Center’s
Iowa Summer Camp List
A Family Guide to Summer Fun for Everyone
Summer is all about having FUN! At ASK, we want to make it easy for Iowa kids
with disabilities to ACCESS all the summer fun their hearts desire!
Whether your family is planning a summer stay-cation, a caravanning sight-seeing road trip,
a vacation to Disneyland, or a visit to the cabin to see the cousins, planning is an essential
component for a smooth-sailing summer. We’re here to provide you with some travel
planning tools and various options for your kids to enjoy the summer fun!
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires all camps to make reasonable
accommodations. This means mainstream camps and public programs may also be on your list of
camp possibilities. We recommend you check with the camp of your choice. You will want to find
a program to best fit your needs, philosophy, cost, and goals.

Special Needs Kids which may help along the way. Read all ten tips at www.myfamilytravels.com/node/11177
The Tips & Tools section (located on the back page) has additional information for successful summer planning!
