He was taught by a number of great scholars such as Hussain Khattab, Hasan Habankah, and many others, and he was the Imam of the biggest mosque in Damascus. There will be a short fundraising for orphans in Syria following the khutbah. Brother Said passed away unexpectedly last Saturday, Jan 3, 2015 and will be missed greatly by all. Fundraising Seerah Conference on Fri, January 16, 2015 DMS is cosponsoring a Seerah Conference with Sound vision entitled, "Stand with the Prophet (PBUH) with Honor and Respect." A portion of this event will be a fundraiser for Sound vision's new Strategic Communication Center. There will be a dinner, a great lineup of speakers (Imam Siraj Wahhaj, Imam Abdul Malik Mujahid,, Kristiane Backer, Professor John Esposito, Imam Ousmane Drame), and entertainment. Email: [email protected] 5th Annual MSA Midwest Conference The 5th annual MSA Midwest Conference, titled The Game of Life: Navigating the Dunya in Search of Paradise, will be hosted in the Ohio Union on January 16th and 17th. The twoday long event will focus on several of the most difficult tests that individuals must face during this life, such as overcoming addictions, and defeating one's nafs, in hopes of helping everyone on their journey to paradise, inshAllah. He that took a way searching for knowledge Allah will facilitate a way to Paradise for him .
