arbados Gospelfest is the Caribbean’s premiere Christian
music and arts Festival. Founded in 1993, it has developed
a reputation as a well produced international festival while
maintaining a strong local brand. Barbados Gospelfest
attracts both patrons and artistes from the United
Kingdom, the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and elsewhere.
Over the years, the festival has also provided a platform for the
development of young Barbadians encouraging their potential as
gospel music artistes and emerging talents in the broad arena of the
performing arts.

The week-long series of events is a haven of inspiration to many. It
remains focused on its mission to touch the lives of every individual
who comes into contact with the festival and to create lasting positive
experiences in Barbados — for families, schools, businesses and
communities — with the life-changing impact of the message of the
Gospel.
Our efforts are made possible through the grace of God and the
commitment of an Executive Team working together with the
invaluable support of our partners and sponsors.
This commitment on the part of our Executive and volunteer teams
ensures that the financial support received from our partners and
sponsors is applied directly to the cost of producing the festival,
currently in excess of $350,000 per year.

Joseph Niles Legacy Lecture
May 19, 2014.
An annual event to honour Joseph Niles in recognition of this Barbadian
icon’s contribution to the development of Gospel Music in Barbados, the
region and beyond during a ministry which spanned over 40 years. This event
is also positioned to continually reflect on and highlight the contribution of
Gospel music to the Barbadian society. (Be the first to sponsor this)
Hymnspeak
May 20, 2014.
A unique event featuring a combined choir comprising members of several
local churches. Under the direction of Rev. Mikie Roberts and accompanied
by organist, John Bryan, the choir is enhanced by a special ensemble of
talented musicians as they touch, inspire and uplift an eclectic audience of
locals and visitors. An especially poignant element of the event is the active
participation of the audience in the singing of the hymns, some of which are
brought to life through dramatisation. Always an evening to remember, a part
of the proceeds from Hymnspeak support various worthwhile causes.

Sunset Concert
May 21, 2014
A much anticipated free event, which explores the rich talent of emerging
Gospel artistes from Barbados, the Caribbean, UK, Canada and elsewhere.
It also features a few established guest artistes.
Laughter and Jazz
May 23, 2014
Introduced since 2008, Laughter & Jazz, marries the comedy of international
Christian comedians with the unique jazz vibes of local, regional and
international artistes to deliver an experience quite unlike any other in the
Caribbean.
Ultimate Gospel
May 24, 2014
The Saturday event is usually held at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium and is
a major event of the festival. Over the years, this event has become known as
a quality production featuring top traditional Gospel and praise and worship
acts usually from the USA and the Caribbean. This event is also where the
Barbados Mass Choir showcases its skill – it has been a consistent feature and
a proud accomplishment of the festival.
One Awesome Day
May 25 2014
Farley Hill’s breathtaking scenery overlooking the rugged Atlantic coast is
usually the perfect backdrop for One Awesome Day. Large crowds of diverse
patrons usually attend this grand finale of Barbados Gospelfest and are blessed
by an impressive line-up of A-class local, regional and international artistes. It
is an exciting day for the entire family.
