Treasurer’s Report – Laurie Weis has the treasurer report available for anyone that would like to see it.
Saferide Report – Please make sure your employees understand how saferide works. If you have any questions
contact Laurie or any officer or director listed on the back of newsletter. There was discussion about looking into cost
for Saferide coasters to hand out to our members, this will be discussed further at the next meeting.
Guest Speaker – Ruthie’s Baskets is an organization that a young girl started when she was 10 years old and is now
15. She makes baskets for children in the hospital. She made 300 baskets last year and hopes to make 500 this year.
She counts on donations and people helping to put them together. She is asking if anyone can help by donating cash
or items including crayons, paints, coloring books, small toys, stuffed animals… If you are interested you can contact
Jen at Local Folks.
Discussion• Judi’s notes on membership we currently have 69 members.
• $100 Cash raffle will be October 20th will be at Bella Vita. Tickets and posters are available if you are interested
please contact Sam 262-496-5940. We need to get going on tickets so please try to sell as many as you can.
Keep in mind you can earn raffle tickets for a free membership drawing the more money you raise.
• Fishing Derby was discussed if you are interested in being a weigh in site you must be at the next meeting to sign
up. You will be required to do something to raise money for the derby to be a weigh in site ex. Meat raffle, selling
raffle tickets…
• Dawn talked about the KCTL Dart League. The informational meeting will be Sept 1st at Main Street Tap @ 7pm. If
you are interested in joining the league please attend the meeting or send someone representing your team.
• Pre convention caucus is September 27th at Casablanca De Mexico, Racine doors open at 11am lunch at 12pm
meeting to follow. Convention is Oct 10th to 13th at the Kalahari in Wis Dells.
• We need more advertisement in newsletter. Let your friends and service people know it is only $50 for a year, it’s
great to advertise your bar or restaurant, even specials you might have going on.
