SILVER LAKES RANCH ON AMON CARTER LAKE A 2300 ACRE PARADISE OF ACREAGE LOTS WITH AMENITIES. Thank you for inquiring about Silver Lakes Ranch on Amon Carter Lake. This 2300 acre restricted subdivision has over 500 acreage tracts ranging from one acre water front lots to two, five and ten acre tracts of every imaginable topography you can think of. Located in the Western Cross Timbers region of North Texas, the terrain here ranges from native grass prairies to dramatic elevation changes, rocky escarpments, pecan bottoms, private lakes, and scenic views not often found in North Texas. Amenities at Silver Lakes include Lake Horizon and Scout Lake for use by all property owners, several large ponds private to the properties that border them, Boat ramps into Lake Amon Carter and Lake Horizon, a large swimming pool and pavilion with fireplace, a clubhouse complete with kitchen, a private RV park with picnic tables and electric and water hook-ups for exclusive use by property owners and their guests, a fenced-in area for RV and boat storage, the POA Headquarters building with a meeting hall and garage space donated to a local volunteer fire department for parking for two fire trucks. Membership in the Property Owner Association is mandatory with dues of $350 per year. Restrictions require a site-built home of at least 1600 square feet (2000 square feet in the Preserve section) with a minimum of one (1) car garage. Exterior of structures should be 80% masonry, natural wood or glass (cement fiber siding is considered masonry). There is no time limit to build but once construction is started the exterior of the structure should appear as finished within 6 months. Metal workshops can be built on lots 3 acres or larger. Workshops on smaller lots will be subject to the 80% exterior requirements of homes. Large animals (horses, cows, and goats) may be kept on lots 5 acres and larger at a rate of one animal per acre as long as property is fenced with fencing capable of containing such animal. Dogs are not allowed to roam freely and must be contained in a kennel, dog run or fenced in area. No more than 4 adult dogs per household. Camping is allowed on lots for up to 7 consecutive days per calendar month. Discharge of firearms within the subdivision is prohibited. Feel free to visit Silver Lakes Ranch on your own.
