Hakone is a big area, and it’s full of fun things to do! If you’re not sure
where ÿto go, we recommend the following two courses that feature
hints about how to enjoy traveling in Hakone.

The Izuhakone Bus is the only way to get from Atami Station to Hakone
without having to transfer. Let’s go to Hakone on the route bus!

10:00 a.m. (Jukkoku-toge Cable Car)
When riding the Jukkoku-toge Cable Car to the summit of the mountain, you
can view sights including Izu, Suruga Bay, and Sagami Bay. If the weather is
good you can even see the Tokyo Skytree.
You can ride the Jukkoku-toge Cable Car at no cost using your Hakone
Tabidasuke.

This is the location of the popular Hakone Ekiden Museum, the Hakone
Sekisho Exhibition Hall, and more (separate admission fees apply). For lunch,
many people enjoy the Nepalese-style chicken curry at the Hakone
Tabimonogatari-kan. Afterwards, you can take a boat to Moto-Hakone Port.
You can ride the Lake Ashino Pleasure Cruise (catamaran) at no cost using
your Hakone Tabidasuke Pass Hakone Tabidasuke.

(Hakone-en Aquarium, Komagatake Ropeway, lunch)
When facing away from Mt. Komagatake, Hakone-en is the vast area on the
side of Lake Ashino. There is an aquarium and ropeway.
You can enter the aquarium one time at no cost using your Hakone Tabidasuke.
Of course, you can also ride on the Komagatake Railway as many times as
you like.

Visit Hakone Shrine, which is approximately 10 minutes by foot from
Moto-Hakone Port. Get on the boat again and head to Hakone-en.
You can ride the pleasure cruise boat (catamaran) on Lake Ashino at no cost
using your Hakone Tabidasuke.

* Please be aware that there are few buses operated between
Yugawara and Manazuru.
● You can ride the Izuhakone Bus an unlimited number of times in the
specified area in Odawara, Atami, and Yugawara.
● Passes are sold at travel agents across Japan, and at the Izuhakone
Bus offices and information desks in Odawara, Yugawara, and Atami.
Get on the Izuhakone Bus and head for Owakudani. (To get to Owakudani,
take the bus bound for Hakone-en via Kojiri.)

Hakone is also known for its volcanoes, the traces of which can be seen in the
white steam rising vigorously here and there, as well as the sulfurous smell.
People say that eating one of the famous black eggs will extend your life by

This is the location of the Hakone-en Aquarium, pleasure boats, and the
Komagatake Ropeway. Get on the bus once again and head to Hakone Shrine.
