RAMESH PRASAD’S 75th BIRTHDAY Birthday Wishes to Ramesh Prasad This is to wish Mr Ramesh Prasad our best wishes for his 75th birthday. 75 years in an individual’s life is by itself a most commendable journey. With a person such as Mr Ramesh Prasad, this journey has become even more commendable, keeping in mind his deep and sincere commitment towards the entertainment industry of India. Ramesh Prasad ji, comes from a distinguished lineage and has dutifully added greater glory to the achievements of his great father. His continued desire and search in keeping up with the contemporary innovations within the technical and creative aspect of our film industry needs to be applauded and appreciated. Mr. Ramesh Prasad has been a gentle and most affable friend. Jaya and I wish him many more years of health and prosperity. Amitabh Bachchan I first met him when I came to this line and made my first film around 1982. Always with a smiling face, very encouraging, he is the most positive person I have ever seen. When you are watching a reel suddenly he would be there, even with new comers, appreciating the work. “75 is fantastic and you are very young. You have a lot to go and we all look forward for more and more interaction and films with you”. Mani Ratnam “I wish you a very happy 75th birthday and many more to come”. I have met ramesh with his father many times and he has inherited his father’s simplicity. Ramesh is a thorough gentleman, a honest man and we have been friends for over 50 years. I wish him a very long life. Yash Chopra I always considered Ramesh Prasad as an elder brother. What I like about him is that he maintains the same principles and high standards of his legendary father Shri.L. V. Prasad. He is simple, approachable to all and a man of cinema without the frills of a cinema personality. On the wonderful occasion of his 75th birthday I wish him a very long and prosperous life. AVM Saravanan Shri.L.V.Prasad Garu’s best investment, some would say, is Prasad Studios and other companies, but in my opinion it is Ramesh Prasad Garu himself! When his father was 75 years old I made him act in my film, but I don’t think I can do that with Ramesh Prasad. I wish him good health and more investment into My Cinema! Kamal Hassan He is a very sincere man. He has taken over the business from Mr L.V.Prasad and grown it very well and also built the IMAX theater in Hyderabad. We are very happy and we pray he has a long and healthy life. Babu Ramesh – surprise! You are 75 years now? As I have been seeing you from a small age I never realized you will be 75 – very good. Many happy returns of the day! D. Rama Naidu A Nageswara Rao “Dear Rameshji, on behalf of the Raj Kapoor family I wish you a very, very happy 75th birthday and I hope that god gives you good health in all the years to come. I enjoyed every moment with you, every moment we shared together, all the things we have discussed. I have seen you grow Prasad Productions, I am so proud of you! Your father was also very proud of you!” Jeetendra Ramesh was my role model when I entered this industry. Though he had the background of Mr.L.V.Prasad, I think he did various things on his own. I always wanted to do what he did. “Happy Birthday Ramesh! It is nice to reach 75 years in your life. You have always been working. All the best and I hope now you will take some rest and let the juniors take over the business.” Manmohan Shetty I take this opportunity to offer my heartfelt and warm greetings to my long time friend Shri Ramesh Prasad on the occasion of his 75th birthday. I knew him through his legendary father Shri L.V.Prasad, whose contribution to the Indian Cinema is enormous and with whom I had a special emotional attachment due to his kind support and all time encouragement to me. Shri Ramesh Prasad had stepped in the shoes of his worthy father very successfully, while I was doing a very remarkable and super hit film “KHILONA”. With his dynamism he has expanded the creative activities to almost all the possible areas of films, television and theatres. He has done amazing modernization in all of them and has kept pace with the latest developments. Due to his hard work, relentless pursuit and extremely pleasant personality he has continuously been on the forefront of the all activities of the film and hospitality Industry. It is not only the business which got his attention but several social organizations are guided by him. His most important charitable and noble pursuit is his total involvement with the world class Eye institute for the poor. It is doing an yeomen service to the society. My best wishes to the multi dimensional personality Shri Prasad and his family for a very very happy and healthy long life. May the society and film industry keep on getting the benefit of his continuous support and his valuable contribution. Shatrughan Sinha Hello Rameshji. Congratulations and many happy returns of the day on your 75th birthday. We are all very proud of you because you have done immense contribution to the film industry. On this special day, I’d like to congratulate you for the commendable manner in which you have carried forward the legacy of your father, Late Shree L.V.Prasad. Your support and contribution to the Indian Film Industry has been invaluable. I wish you many years ahead of a happy and prosperous life. Aamir Khan Dear Rameshji Some people accept the circumstances the way they are and then there are some "Who accept the responsibility of changing them…”. You are, have been and will always remain an inspiration. Not just for the film fraternity but the society at large. Wishing you all the best on your 75th Birthday. May all your endeavours and wish come through. Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra Dear Rameshji, Wish you a very happy birthday and I want to let you know of the deep respect that film makers in India have for you. Not only for your constant striving to help us attain greater standards to go out and compete internationally, but also for the warmth and compassion of your personality. You were there to encourage me at the start of my career and will never forget the chance meeting we had at Cannes! Shekhar Kapur “Many, many happy returns of the day Rameshji. I have always admired, respected and looked up at you all my life. I am one of those rare people who had the good fortune to meet your father Mr.L.V.Prasad who is one of the greatest legends of our country. Being the son of such an iconic man who has achieved so much, to live up to a great father is very difficult. You have not only lived up to all the great work your father had done but somehow you have done much more and I am sure Mr.L.V.Prasad will be proud of you. We are all proud of you! Anil Kapoor Wishing you a fantastic 75th birthday!! For me, you will always be a beloved elder brother and I can never forget how you and the family opened your hearts and your home in Chennai, to me, when I was just starting my career. You are a pillar of our industry and your contributions to making it on par technically with the best in the world, are without parallel. My love, respect and wishes for your health and happiness always. Jackie Shroff Your multi-faceted passion, vision and commitment to the world of movies- especially with respect to film production, equipment, post-production and distribution is an inspiration to us all. We commend your efforts to pursue, innovate and explore new paths in technological advancement in film. Your compassion as evidenced by your participation in so many charitable initiatives has also not gone unnoticed. It is an honour to have known you and to have interacted with you. On this day of your 75th birthday, we would like to wish you many more glorious years in this wonderful world of movies! With respect and admiration Ashutosh Gowariker We are very happy on the 75th birthday of Rameshji. We know him for more than 50 years. He is a great human being, a stalwart in the industry and has built up Prasad Group to its greatness. We wish him all the best, health and happiness. Barjatya’s The saying that first impressions are lasting impressions is most apt when I think of my first interaction with you. You may not recall our first meeting but it is still a vivid memory in my mind. Years ago, as a fresh FTII graduate, I came to Prasad Lab in Chennai to get a print for a documentary I had edited. Much to my surprise, you took it upon yourself to personally take me around the lab to introduce me the facilities, with great affection. Apart from learning what I did at your lab, I learnt something greater; the real success behind any job is the passion with which it is executed. There is a line that comes to mind, a quote from Willliam A. Foster – “quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skilful execution”. Ever since my first meeting with you years ago, I always felt that this line describes completely your passion for cinema and your approach to your work. Your commitment to quality and the dedication with which you have pursued every expansion in your business is exemplary. My heartiest wishes to you today on having crossed the milestone of 75 years of your life. Many happy returns of the day sir. May you continue your successful run and inspire and motivate all those around you. Rajkumar Hirani Continued on next page... Birthday Wishes to Ramesh Prasad - Continued... Dear Mr. Rameshji, At the outset we would like to wish you a Very Happy 75th Birthday. I clearly remember when you and Mr.Naidu came to our Office to discuss the processing of our first film DIL CHAHTA HAI. We are very happy with the support that Excel Entertainment has been getting till date from Prasad Labs and we are proud to be associated with Sai and you in particular. We have always appreciated your immense contribution to the development of the Indian Film Industry in Film Production, Distribution, Post Production facilities, Prasad lmax, and the latest 3D Filming Equipment. We look forward to more support and encouragement in future too. Ritesh Sidhwani May you live for many more years to come and continue to support us and the Indian Film Industry. Mr.Ramesh is a very, very unique man and I have learnt a lot from him – his patience, the way he deals with people and always with a smiling face… I have made it a point to also have a smiling face always because you can be victorious only if you have a smiling face so that no one can read your mind easily. In my opinion he is, like his father, a legend and everyone in the industry has a special respect for him. I never realized he would be 75, he looks younger than me! “Mr.Ramesh – I pray that you reach a hundred and I should still be there to wish you on that day! Abirami Ramanathan “Wish you a happy birthday and we pray god to give you a hundred years” “Happy Birthday Ramesh Prasadji” B.S.
