Eureka St., Redlands (909) 793-6393 May 21-June 20 There have been times in your life when you've considered your persistence to be a curse. This week you'll see your tenacity for the great gift that it is. You'll keep pushing ahead with a project even when you think you might fail -and that takes heart! Your actions will inspire a whole team of people. Certain relationships tend to bring up feelings of envy this week. You wish you had had certain opportunities that were not afforded to you, opportunities that others seem to take for granted. But don't let this fact color the vast array of one-of-a-kind experiences you have had that helped mold you into who you are. Your plan will be extremely important, and it doesn't even have to be a good plan to make a difference. That it exists at all will be the main reason for your success. You'll carry yourself with purpose and intention. Friday brings an encounter with someone in charge. Your winning way makes a difference. You have a low tolerance for people who bring you down, which is why you now have an entirely different set of friends. You'll find that you can do so much more than you thought when you stick near supportive people who want to contribute to your intellectual, emotional and spiritual development. Building a loving home is important to you. It's the foundation from which all other ventures will succeed. Even if you live alone, you make sure that your home reflects your loving relationships. You'll put effort into making your domestic life beautiful and your closest relationships harmonious. Sept. 23-Oct. 23 You can't change the number of hours in a day, but you use them well. And if you have a plan, you'll probably use them even better. Record your upcoming activities on a calendar. Getting a proper overview of what's ahead will guide your choices this week. Dec. 22-Jan. 19 You'll make an excellent match this week. More than likely, it's a person and an activity that attract you into a new realm. There's nothing more compelling to you than the prospect of growing your mind and spirit through the pursuit and discovery of new interests. July 23-Aug. 22 Oct. 24-Nov. 22 Aug. 23-Sept. 22 Nov. 23Dec. 21 All it takes is a thought to set in motion a powerful process. Receiving that thought will happen in a place of spacious beauty. Your creativity will be as strong as your environment is organized. The planets align to help you pare down. The more you can get rid of the better you'll understand what really inspires you. Your sign mate the great comic Steven Wright said, "I have an inferiority complex. But it's not a very good one." Avoid comparing yourself to anyone else this week. You're working on something that is so wonderfully beyond compare that trying to pit it against the work of others would be a big mistake. Don't worry too much about getting things done. Rushing to finish would be a mistake. Completion will happen later. If you spend the entire week experimenting and planning, you've done well. Gather the materials you need to manifest your vision. Play around with different arrangements. You'll observe something similar to what you want out in the world. Then you'll imagine your own version in your mind's eye. By Wednesday, you already will be nailing down some of the finer definitions. Friday shows you solving problems. Whatever your obstacles, a sense of happiness comes with this process. Jan. 20-Feb. 19 val. Directed by Cliff Cabanilla and co-directed by Jubel Obien, “The Marvelous Wonderettes” follows four girlfriends from their 1958 high school prom at Springfield High School to their 10-year reunion. This musical comedy blast from the past pays homage to those high school song leaders of the ‘50s, and takes a look at how their lives have changed during the years after graduation. With book by Roger Bean, featured songs include “Mr. Sandman,” “Lipstick on Your Collar,” “Stupid Cupid,” “Son of a Preacher Man,” “Dream Lover” and many others. Take a musical trip down memory lane with Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy as they cue up hit after hit with fun, laughter and a killer four-part harmony. The cast features Sandra Rice, Redlands; Christine Simpson, Beaumont; Sara Blair, Corona; and Candice Cabanilla-Stewart, Riverside. Musical director is Chad Ohlheiser, with choreography by Candice Cabanilla Stewart. The play is one of five shows in repertory at Prospect Park through Aug. 25. Other shows are “God of Carnage,” ”Waiting for Godot,” “Company,” “Company” and “Hot L. Baltimore.” Single tickets are $20, students $16. Season tickets are available for $80 for all five shows. Despite your high intelligence, or perhaps because of it, you'll find yourself inspired to ignore logic in favor of a stronger calling. The most profound experience will come as a result of taking on an exceptionally difficult job.
