Since ancient times all the civilizations have been exploiting the amazing powers of aromatic plants.
Throughout the world these plants have played an important part in medicine, in the cookery and in perfume composition.
In China, the cradle of herbal medicine, the curative power of aromatic plants has been used in traditional medicine for more than
2000 years.
Doctors, philosophers, surgeons, chemists, naturopaths and priests of successive civilizations, in India, in Greece, in Egypt and around the world
have developed an ancestral knowledge which conceals treasures of empirical knowledge which science has confirmed. The plants association
with the virtues of water created the aromatic baths which played a part in the daily life of a Roman citizen.
The extraordinary wealth of the tropical flora still conceals a thousand unknown plants. They will only reveal their secrets in years, decades and
the forthcoming centuries.
Research and development… 30 years of history
Bernard MASSING, founded the company Madislor in 1976. For many years, he had been developing, in his workshop next to the
family house, innovative new products for the cosmetics and hygiene markets. In the 90’s, a customer from Paris asked whether
it was possible for him to create the scent of a sauna. This was the starting point for the adventure of the Camylle brand!
During two years the designer developed his product, thousands of tests were carried out dated and numbered, experience that,
by the way, was collected to the chagrin of his wife, in the Family House. From the beginning he was striving for perfection.
After more than two years of research with the unique recipes using the ingredients of the Camylle laboratories the end products were
ready for launch. The first two product ranges were based on essential oils and were carefully selected for sauna and steam baths.
The search for new methods for converting essential oils, aromatic therapy draughts and solutions for wellness centers has
become a passion for Bernard MASSING.
The most famous, most prestigious hotels and thalassotherapy palaces adopted his products in quick succession.
In 2005 his son Marc, who also has a deep passion for the precious essential oils, became the successor of the retiring
company founder.
With the same determination, his aim is to offer the products as natural as possible. He makes no concessions on the quality of raw
materials. The new general manager brings fresh dynamism to the company by creating a brand called Camylle. The name given to his
daughter inspired him to name the brand Camylle, a name that perfectly describes sweetness, rest, nature and cleanliness … A way to build
enterprise value.
New product lines were developed; Voile de sauna, Brume de hammam, Lait de balnéo, Velours de spa, Nuage, Pur Massage. These product lines were
expanded and new wonderful odors and flavors were discovered. In 2010, the company changed its name to Camylle laboratories. The company moved to larger
premises based in the industrial area of Sarreguemines and bigger investments in modern production technology were made.
Today, Camylle is recognized as a benchmark in the field of aromatherapy and stands for the olfactory identity of the best known wellness areas worldwide.

in generous quantities when the diluted solution is poured onto the hot
stones of the stove (10 to 20 ml diluted in a litre of water).
Essential oils are fatty particles that remain on the surface when they
are poured into the water. As a result, most products used in saunas

Two concepts for diffusion of essential oils:
The objective of the Camylle laboratories is the diffusion of essential oils without
altering their intrinsic qualities. For instance, the technology used is on one hand a
technology of cold evaporation for professional environments (from 100 to 500m²)
with the evaporator Camylle, and on the other hand a technology of ultrasonic
diffusion with Bamboo (for rooms until 50m²). The molecules of essential oils are
difficult to diffuse when using pure essential oils.
Indeed, no way of diffusing them is really adaptable to their viscosity due to the fact
that they are insoluble in water, and facts about diffusion of essential oils by heating
them would denature the scents and affect their qualities.
