servants- , Guidolinesrelating to action where
the goVernment serVantis'found ineffective.
Department of Personnel & A.R. 0.M.No. 25013/14/77Estt f (A) doted the 5th January, 1970 had spelt out the
scope and amplitude of the provisions of FA 56(j) and laid
down the criteria, procedure and guidelines for reviewing
the cases of government servants for their retention in
service or pre-mature retirement with a view to
strengthening •bc administration. This Dnpartment's Office
MemorandwNo. 25013/30/65-E5tt.W data the 7th August'
lc..V5 has' been issued elaborating/clarifying further the
scope of the provisions of FR 56(j), in so far as these
apply to retirement of government servants on grounds of
idoubtful integrity. The following guidelines aro nag
beingissmed, to Supplement those•conveved under the
Office hemoranda referred to above, to assist Ministriea/
Deiartmonts‘ in taking action for pre•mature retirement of
government employees who have outlived their utility and
have become ineffective.
