Release Information www.novo-music.com / [email protected] Artist: Alex Font & Jamie Gittins Title: Colinas Label: Novo Format: Digital Release Date: 24-05-12 File Under: Deep House Tracks: 01.Colinas (Original Mix) 02.Colinas (J.M. Aboga Remix) ENGLISH Alex Font returns to Novo to sign the twelfth release of this spanish label. The Londonbased artist produces an outstanding job where he shows his artistic maturity developing an elegant and detailed composition. For this adventure, James Gittins is elected as a fellow traveler. Valencian and British started together a short but intense journey in which, after traveling several stages, they manage to crown the ascent to the summit with many guarantees. "Colinas" is a deep house track in key simmered, a dance piece quietly, enveloping and hypnotic, but it grows and progresses very smoothly from first to last beat. The original piece is accompanied by a remix of J.M. Aboga, who brings out their groovy side to restore the original part and provide it with warmth, freshness and luminosity, like a burst summer. Of course, without leaving the magnificent flashes of elegance as the original part off. A precise twist that brings the apex of punch needed to knock out any and complete a great release, without doubt, will be one of the pleasant surprises for the recent summer season which is just around the corner. www.novo-music.com SPANISH Alex Font regresa a Novo para firmar la duodécima release del sello. Supported and played by: Steve Lawler, Maceo Plex, Richie Hawtin, Luna City Express, Andy Cato (Groove Armada), Karotte, Andrew Grant, Butch, Someone Else, Butch, AFFKT, Mr V, Nacho Marco, Marco Effe, Woody and more. www.novo-music.com Alex Font www.novo-music.com / [email protected] Alex’s passion for music started when he was only ten years old when he began buying various albums, at the age of fourteen he broke into his piggybank and bought his first turntables. The past few years have seen Jamie tour Australia, Asia, UAE, Mexico, The Middle East, Europe and everywhere in between whilst regularly playing at parties & top venues up and down the UK. A hugely popular Ibiza profile and two successful Ibiza club brands has seen Jamie spend the past 11 summers on the White Isle enjoying residencies & guest sets at the major clubs on the island, including; Amnesia, Space, Privilege, Eden & Es Paradis. He’s played for many of Ibiza’s biggest brands like Carl Cox & Friends, Cream, Manumission, Meganite, Tiesto/The Electrik Playground, The Face of Ibiza and Pete Tongs Wonderland parties among many others, as well as being resident and promoting his own Filthy Gorgeous & Disco Bomb branded parties on the island. Jamie & the parties he promotes have received astounding feedback and write-ups in the music press, both in print and online, including: DJ Mag, The Music Industry Manual, 3D World (Sydney), Scene (Brisbane), M8 Magazine, One Week To Live, OK Magazine (Middle East), Time Out (UK/Dubai), Our House Mag, RPM Magazine, Partysan Magazine, Ibiza-Spotlight.com, 4Clubbers.net, Dontstayin.com, Ibiza Voice.com, Inthemix.com.au & Tilllate.com. www.novo-music.com Extremely versatile within his DJ sets and with a diverse taste in music, the summers see him playing all styles from chillout at sunset in the sunset strip cafes of San Antonio, to Funk, Soul & Disco next to the pool at the infamous Es Vive Hotel, to Crunchy house beats mixed up with Indie/Hip Hop/Breaks/Rock/D&B at his infamous Disco Bomb workers parties, to underground house at his peak time club sets. It was back in summer 2005 that Jamie along with friend and fellow DJ Scott Martin started a small party at Hush in San Antonio, Ibiza, called FILTHY gorgeous. In the space of just over 5 years FILTHY gorgeous exploded into an over-whelmingly successful international party and club brand, receiving amazing feedback and press wherever they went. Ibiza was their spiritual home where they hosted weekly parties in the Coco Loco room of Privilege (with Meganite in 2006) and monthly events in the El Salon of Space (with Carl Cox & friends 2008/09) as well as various one off’s at different venues including Eden, Es Paradis, ex-Strip Clubs, an Old Zoo, Private Villa’s and other unusual locations. The winters were spent touring & putting on parties in various venues around the world. After the success of FILTHY gorgeous Jamie started his second party brand with old friend & Cream Ibiza resident Sean Hughes called Disco Bomb in 2007, undoubtedly the biggest hit with the workers of Ibiza for 3 summers, winning best workers party at the 2008 Worker Awards. Disco Bomb hosted parties on the terrace of Cream @ Amnesia and The Electrik Playground room of Tiesto’s party @ Privilege, Ibiza Rocks Hotel, Eden, Savannahs Back Room as well as various others bars in & around San Antonio. At Disco Bomb the pair could show their more eclectic side with a mash up style music policy of anything goes (like; House, Disco, Funk, Rock, Reggae, Indie, Drum & Bass and Hip Hop) to make for a very special electric atmosphere.
