D4 || ARTS & LIFE BREAKING NEWS: VANCOUVERSUN.COM | TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2014 FASHION | HEMLINES Get cosy for a good cause Diane’s Lingerie hosts charity robe drive to benefit single mothers in need ALEESHA HARRIS VANCOUVER SUN V ancouver shoppers are invited to get their old robe off — and find a new one — at the upcoming Diane’s Lingerie Get Cozy for a Cause charity event. From 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, shoppers can drop by the store at 2950 Granville St., with a clean, gently used robe or sleepwear item to be donated to the YWCA’s Crabtree Corner. During the event, a portion of the proceeds from any purchase of an Eberjey branded item (or all proceeds from the sale of the Eberjey Esther thong) will benefit the Vancouver-based charity Cause We Care, which assists single mothers and their children living in the city. “We are honoured and delighted to be selected by Diane’s Lingerie as the recipient of this wonderful event to hopefully bring awareness and support for single mothers in need in our community,” Andrea Thomas Hill, founder and chairwoman of Cause We Care said in a news release. The first 50 shoppers who purchase an Eberjey item will also receive a gift from Vancouver jewelry brand Lovers Tempo. Refreshments and a special presentation by Cause We Care board member Michelle Jankovich will also be features of the event. To learn more visit dianeslingerie.com. KEEP A COOL HEAD Fans of the famous Ted Baker fashion esthetic can now transfer the brand’s trademark cool, British charm to their headphones with the launch of Ted Baker Audio. Available at Experience Headphones (3057 South Granville St.) in Vancouver — the exclusive North American retailer for the line — the release includes both earbud and traditional overthe-ear models. “Ever since luxury headphones broke into the market, designers have been collaborating with headphone brands to create limited edition products,” Dean Horsfield, founder and CEO of Experience Headphones, said of the line in a news release. “Ted Baker is the first to design his own line of headphones from the bottom up. Believe me when I tell you, they look and sound amazing.” Shoppers are invited to shop the new collection, which features brushed stainless steel and soft leather, during an event on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. “Now more than ever, fashion and technology are fusing to create products that fit both purpose and lifestyle. Designers have a long history of taking products that are otherwise a modern necessity and turning them into must-have fashion accessories,” Horsfield said. “The watch and sunglasses industry are two really great examples of this. Headphones are simply the next evolution.” The Ted Baker Audio line ranges in price from $99 to $299 and is available at experienceheadphones. com.
