Final remarks
Final remarks
The New Frontier Basin with the presence of structural features /
stratigraphic prominent;
Existence of a western graben (NE-SW), with about 3,500 m of
thickness in the Cupe region with great possibility of the generation of
hydrocarbons;
The "Sub-Basin Plateau“ Pernambuco basin have thicknesses on the
order of 6,000m.
Existence of an evaporite sequence halocinetics and structures that
affect the post-rift sequence.
Final remarks
There is evidence of the existence of a petroleum system (thermogenic)
active in Pernambuco portion of the basin.
The "Sub-Basin Plateau” is the main area potentially generating of HC
in the basin (greater thickness and burial for the syn-rift section).
It is expected a lateral migration to medium / large distance to potential
structural traps present in the High Plateau (mostly in the syn-rift section).
Associated Structures with magmatic features may also be possible
targets for exploration;
Secondly, maybe consider probable stratigraphics traps presents in the
section K upper/ Tertiary age in "Sub-Basin Plateau" (conditioned the
existence of faults).
