German International School Chicago (GISC) is an independent, not-for-profit, dual-language school. As Chicagoland’s only German
language preschool and elementary school, GISC provides students with an individualized learning environment that nurtures
curiosity and fosters global awareness.
Each spring, GISC brings together families, friends, local and international businesses, as well as German, Austrian, and Swiss community members, during our annual Spring Gala to celebrate the school and tremendous work of our students and teachers. The Spring
Gala is our main event to raise crucial funds to help meet our growing need for additional teachers and high quality classroom materials. Like many schools, tuition does not cover the full cost of operation, and GISC relies on the support of generous donors to help our
school thrive and grow.
Your donation or sponsorship ensures that GISC students will continue to be taught by superb faculty and will have classrooms
filled with the highest-quality German and English language books and materials available. Your time and generosity are incredibly
