The richness of our past came about through many volunteers and Chamber staff who cared about the growth of our city and its surrounding area. Taking lessons from the past, we too are dedicated to the same spirit of keeping Jonesboro and it’s communities strong and providing a bright future for our families who call this home. The Chamber’s activities include the “Redcoats” who attend the ribbon cuttings for our newest businesses as well as the monthly Board Meetings attended by volunteer Board Members who discuss their responsibilities in making this a strong year. Those responsibilities include Business Expo 2016 with ‘Super Heroes’ as its theme on April 6, Leadership Alumni, Political Animals, Power Breakfasts, Washington, D.C. Fly-in which will take place April 13, 14, & 15, Business After Hours, Tech Talks Seminar, SMART Luncheons, Arkansas Scholars Reception, JYPN Leadership Conference, and TekStarz Summer Manufacturing Camp just to name a few. We invite the community to join us in this “Spirit” filled volunteerism. It takes all of us from the Chamber to other service organizations and their volunteers to stand behind who we are. “We Are Jonesboro” a community filled with wonderful people all trying to make a difference. I truly thank everyone for their continued support and look forward to sharing with our community all that has been accomplished to honor “We Are Jonesboro”. JONESBORO JONESBORO REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE 9 Jonesboro Young Professionals Network Bethany Noto The Jonesboro Young Professionals Network, an organization for professionals ages 21-39, creates networking opportunities, provides professional development, supports community involvement and promotes an overall investment in the future of Jonesboro. This quarter we introduce you to Bethany Noto. Bethany is a Business Development Officer at Centennial Bank where she builds relationships with their customers to make sure that they are receiving the best possible service. Bethany is very actively involved in various committees of JYPN. She currently serves as chair of the Professional Development Committee and is helping to plan this year’s Leadership Conference. Bethany also serves on the A-State Committee, Business Network Committee, Membership Development Committee, and is a part of the steering committee that is planning this year’s Business Expo. When asked what the greatest benefit in being involved in JYPN, Bethany said “The future of Jonesboro and all of Northeast Arkansas lies with today’s young professionals. By being a part of JYPN, we can come together to develop leaders and strive to make changes for the better in our community.” Bethany’s favorite activity of JYPN is packing boxes at the food bank. Through this monthly project, she has been able to be a part of giving back to the community in an essential way and has gotten to know more JYPN members through this activity than any other event. Deana Osment, Division President for Centennial Bank encourages young professionals to be involved with JYPN because she feels it provides the perfect environment to encourage young people to make important connections and gives them a way to invest in the future of Jonesboro.
