I am one of 2,500 St. Bernards employees. And while
we all have different jobs, we are all committed to the
same purpose, which is to make sure that every patient
and every guest feels welcomed, comfortable and safe.
Here, when a patient asks for help, people don’t say
that’s not my job, or, you’re not my patient. Because
each one of us knows that it is our job to help
you—and to help one another—because it’s just
the right thing to do. Especially when you’re part
of the heart of great medicine.

commitment to this organization. We are truly making a difference in the
Jonesboro region through Service, Leadership, and Economic Development!
We are busy planning our anniversary celebration to be held at our 100th annual

NHRA Champion as our guest for the evening. Buy your table early for this
great event! We will be honoring our past chairs, hearing from Erica who began
racing as a young girl, and giving our annual awards.
I congratulate class 29 of Leadership Jonesboro for their commitment to this
program and thank them for their contributions to the community through their
service projects. I would like to thank the employers for the investment you
made, you will not be disappointed in the professional growth of your new
LEADER.
When I look back at the calendar over the past year, I am amazed at the amount
of events, programs and activities we have hosted. Again, we could not have
the impact we have on this community without the hard work of hundreds of
committed leaders. THANK YOU!
On August 27, our Membership Development Committee hosted Prime Time for
all new members of the chamber to show off their products and services. Please
remember to frequent your fellow chamber member businesses because as we
support each other we make the economy better.
Join us for all of the activities during Paint The Town Red week, September
8-12. Decorate your business in support of the Red Wolves and join our
decorating contest. Join us for Business After Hours at Newk’s Eatery on

Linda WOFFORD 2014 - 2015
Chairman of the Board
this anniversary year has highlighted so
many of the great leaders that have gone
before who have contributed to the growth
of the Jonesboro region.
The Chamber served as the catalyst
for programs and initiatives that made
Jonesboro what it is today. New and
expanded retail businesses continues in the
area which is a great indicator of our strong
economy.
New developments such as the Reserve
at Hill Park and Greensboro Village
will change the landscape of how we do
business and live. Hytrol broke ground
on a $12 million expansion and will hire
up to 75 new employees. TeleTech is in
the process of providing 100 new jobs and
Frito Lay’s $47 million expansion will
provide 30 new jobs.
This has been a busy year and there is more
to come. I am excited to be a part of this
thriving community.
Summarize your year as Chairman in one
word:
Knowledge.
Summarize your year as Chairman in one
sentence:
The Chamber touches our community on so
many different levels that I could not have
imagined until participating intimately in
some of the processes that bring industry
and jobs to Jonesboro and surrounding
areas.
Name some of the Highlights of the Year.
We are celebrating 100 years of the
Chamber at our annual meeting on October
6. Serving as Chairman of the Board during
4
What do you feel like are some of the most
valuable programs to the members and
why?
Latino Business Committee – I am very
excited to see this committee growing and
working together in our community. This
Committee is an interface for community
leaders to work together to remove barriers
that may exist for Latino small business
owners.
Workforce Development Committee - We
have heard all year from every meeting
attended by the Chamber staff that
Workforce is the key to keeping industry
in Jonesboro as well as recruiting new
industry. This Committee is dedicated
to educating young students about the
necessity of developing skills as they
prepare to enter the work environment.
By demonstrating skills that are used in
local industries, students get a clear view
of opportunities that exist within our
Community. There are many hands-on
experiences that these young people get to
enjoy as they visit industries.
Community
Benefit
Organizations
Committee – This committee has worked
hard this year to provide a calendar that is
posted on the Jonesboro Regional Chamber
of Commerce website that provides
opportunities for our citizens to be involved
in a Charitable Organization. This calendar
makes it possible to schedule events and
meetings that involve your favorite local
organization.
Each Committee within the chamber has
a role to play in the success of Jonesboro.
These three are just an example of how
individuals can become involved in
Chamber activities.
Share a few comments about your year as
Chairman.
I have enjoyed this year and have learned
a lot about Jonesboro, The Chamber,
and other organizations that work handin-hand to make this City a great place
to live. Thank you for the opportunity
to be the Chairman this year and I just
want to encourage members to become
involved and challenge those who are not
yet members of the Chamber to give us a
try! I believe you have something to add
to Jonesboro and I believe Jonesboro has
something to give back to you as well.

Tony RAMPLEY 2015 - 2016
Chairman of the Board
Tell us about yourself:
I grew up in Jackson, TN.
I served in the Air Force during the
Vietnam Conflict from January 1968 thru
May 1972 as an electronic cryptographic
technician and was at the rank of Sergeant
when I left. I was stationed at the Pentagon
but lived at Fort Meyer next to Arlington
Cemetery. I worked at the Communications
center for the Pentagon and then at a TriService NATO information collecting base
in Turkey.
After the Air Force I returned to Lambuth
College in Jackson and obtained a BA
Degree in Accounting. During and after I
was enrolled at Lambuth, I worked at a CPA
firm with offices in Jackson and Memphis.
I decided to leave taxes and audits. Through
a Headhunter I received a job in Des Arc,
AR as Controller of a multi-business
company.
After five years of learning a lot about
business operations, I became the Treasurer
of First Pyramid Life Insurance Company
located in Little Rock. I received a call
inviting me to come to Jonesboro through a
mutual friend of the Chairman of the Board
of Arkansas Glass Container Corporation.
After visiting Jonesboro, I liked the
progressiveness of the area. Vicki, Chad,
and I moved to Jonesboro to start a new
adventure in August of 1986.
Currently, I am the Vice-Chairman of the
Board and President / CEO of Arkansas Glass
Container Corporation. We manufacture
clear glass bottles and jars that are from
8ozs to 128 ozs. We sell these products to
distributors of packaging products and to
end-users of glass containers who are in the
Food, Beverage, Wine, Spirits, Chemical,
Floral, Candle, Condiment, Spice, Syrup,
and Testing Industries located all over
the 48 contiguous states. We also sell
to international customers who ship our
unfilled products to India, Pakistan, Ireland,
Puerto Rico, and Argentina.
I am also Vice-Chairman of the Board and
CEO of Packaging Support Group, PSG,
located in Jonesboro. PSG is a distributor
of multiple types of glass containers.
These containers are manufactured all
over the United States and from overseas
manufacturers which are then sold to the
Food, Beverage, Wine, Spirits, Chemical,
Floral, Candle, Condiment, Spice, Syrup,
JONESBORO REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
and Testing Industries located all over the
48 contiguous states.
I hold the position of Vice-Chairman of
Safe Foods Company, located in Little
Rock. Safe Foods sells an internationally
patented anti-microbial drench and spray
product, and ultra-violet anti-bacterial
systems for food product conveyors, along
with ultra-violet anti-bacterial marinate
recycle systems and other chemically
related products and machinery to the
poultry processing industry all over the
United States, Canada, Europe, Asia,
United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Russia,
South America, Central America, and
Mexico.
I am on the Board of the Jonesboro Rotary
Club, New Creations Ministry, Breaking
Bonds Ministry, and JEDC.
I was appointed by Governor Mike
Huckabee to serve on the Arkansas Science
and Technology Board. I was a member
of the St. Louis Federal Reserve Board,
Memphis Branch from 1993 through 1998.
I have been involved with the Jonesboro
Regional Chamber of Commerce since
before we built the new Chamber building.
I was a member of the Chamber Board
when Wallace Fowler and Henry Jones
started the study to build the new building.
I was previously the President of Existing
Industries when we had the meetings at
the Jonesboro Country Club. I am a past
member and Board Member of United Way.
What do you see as the main role of the
chairman?
My main goal as chairman will be to help
promote the civic, cultural, agricultural,
commercial,
industrial,
educational,
and general interest and betterment of
Jonesboro, Craighead County, and the
Northeast Arkansas region. This will be
done by the use of committees and groups
who will endeavor to improve and promote
industrial development, resource and
agricultural development, aviation, civic
affairs, community development, intra
and inter state area transportation, retail
operations, Chamber membership and
support of the state legislature.
How will you determine if your year
as chairman has been a ‘personally
satisfying’ one?
good stewards of and promoters of all
the blessings we have here in Jonesboro,
Craighead County, and the Northeast
Arkansas region, it will have been a good
year.”
Where would you like to see the Chamber
go in your year as chairman?
I would like to see the Chamber accomplish
all the things I have listed above and also
be a leader in the area of bringing all the
different area cultures and race groups
together so that Jonesboro, Craighead
County, and the Northeast Arkansas region
will be able to act as a single united force
in all matters that relate to city, county,
region, and state issues.
Where do you believe that the Chamber
can most effectively have an impact on the
future of this region?
I believe that the Chamber can have its
most effective impact on the future of the
region by recognizing the needs of property
requirements related to industry and
transportation, and the monetary funding of
those needs by developing a very forward
looking plan for controlled growth over the
next ten years.
If I can look back on my year as chairman
and say “We tried our very best to be

Jonesboro Young Professionals Network
Hailey Knight
The Jonesboro Young Professionals Network, an organization for
professionals ages 21-39, creates networking opportunities, provides
professional development, supports community involvement and
promotes an overall investment in the future of Jonesboro.
This quarter we introduce you to Hailey Knight. As the Executive
Director of the Downtown Jonesboro Assocation, Hailey has built a
nationally known Main Street program that is consistently recognized for
their popular events, innovative ideas and strategic partnerships that have
catapulted the organization to one of the best programs in the state of
Arkansas.
Hailey serves on the board of directors for JYPN. When Hailey was about
to graduate from Arkansas State University she knew she wanted to start
networking with other young professionals and explor opportunities the
Chamber offers. The mission of JYPN was exactly what she was seeking.
When asked who has influenced his professional career, Hailey said
“Besides my super mom, Shelby Knight, Laura Pickens
has been the most influential person for my professional
career, and I am so honored to have her as a mentor.”
Hailey served as an intern at St. Bernards under Laura who encouraged
Hailey’s professional goals and gave her insights about marketing. Hailey
encourages every young professional to find someone they connect with
and spend time learning from them.
Hailey feels that the networking and
leadership development opportunities
are the greatest benefits of JYPN.
Hailey is currently in the 2015 class of
Leadership Jonesboro and also serves
on the A-State committee.
Blake Johnson, Vice President-Cash
Management/Lending at Evolve Bank
and Trust serves as President of the
Board of Directors for Downtown
Jonesboro Association and works
closely with Haily. Blake encourages
Hailey’s involvement in JYPN because
he feels it offers knowledge and helps
young professionals to grow and learn.

Meet your
GOODWILL AMBASSADORS
The Goodwill Ambassadors are a group of Chamber members who have been selected to represent the Chamber and Jonesboro at Chamber
events. A major role of a Goodwill Ambassador is to partner with new Chamber members and help them get involved. This year there are
several new faces among this group of ambassadors.
Dina Mason
Ed Ware
Meet Dina Mason. Dina is
the General Manager for

Meet Ed Ware. Ed is the
Business Development
Manager for Art Advertising,
Inc.
Dina has been a member of
the Chamber for two years
and is on the Business
Network Committee.
Dina enjoys being a
Goodwill Ambassador
because she loves meeting new people.
Dina says Business After Hours are really fun, but the ribbon
cuttings are her favorite because the new business owners are
so enthusiastic and excited.
Her most memorable experience was when her GPS kept
taking her to the wrong side of the bypass when trying to go to
a ribbon cutting at Sneak a Peak. She thought it was ironic that
she had to play hide and seek all morning to find a place called
Sneak a Peak.
JONESBORO REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Ed has been involved in the
Chamber for two and onehalf years and serves on
the Business Network and
Membership Development
Committees.
Ed enjoys being a Goodwill Ambassador and enjoys introducing
the existing membership and new businesses to the community
and all the Chamber has to offer.
Ed’s favorite event is Business Expo because it is one of
the signature events for the Chamber membership and the
community and truly garners spirited participation by everyone
involved. He believes that the yearly theme is a colorful way to
get businesses to have fun and interact with other businesses as
well as the public.
