SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Make sure that the towbar is suitable for the vehicle before starting the
installation.
For safety, all work involving towbar installation (incl. electrical components) must
be undertaken
by skilled technicians.
Damaged components must be replaced with manufacturer’s spares and fitted by
qualified staff.
It is forbidden to make any modification or structural repair to towing assembly.
The towball must be kept clean and lubricated. For added safety, his diameter (50
mm) must be checked at regular intervals. If the towball measures less than 49 mm
after selected readings across the diameter, the towball must be replaced with a new
one.
After 1000 km of towing, check torque settings for nuts and bolts, in accordance
with the table.

Remove any mastic from contact points then paint with anti-rust paint. The
necessary holes have to be drilled out.

1 Lift up the inner boot trim, remove the spare tire from its casing.
2 Remove the rear right screw to fit the heat shield support from under the vehicle
just if it interferes.
3 Locate item D inside the boot, it has to adhere to the rear wall and side wall of
the carbody, then drill out the floor corresponding to holes 2 and 4. Remove the
counterplate, enlarge holes 2 insert spacers E, re-locate the counterplate then fit
interposing large washers on points 4 from under the vehicle.
4 Locate item B inside the boot, it has to adhere to the rear wall of the car body
and to the side of the spare wheel casing and drill out the floor corresponding to
holes 2 and 3. Remove the counter plate enlarge holes 2 insert spacers E, relocate the counterplate, insert the screws and fit interposing under the chassis rail
plate C fitting it just on the most far mounting points.
5 Re-fit the heat shield support fitting it on the front part to the original screws
while on the left rear side, locate it to screw 2 already inserted then fit.
6 Locate item A referring to holes 2 on the right and to holes 3 on the left
interposing in position 3 large washers then fit.
7 Tighten all bolts and nuts as per torque settings.
8 Connect the wirings to the socket.
9 Cut bumper as showed.
10 Re-fit the inner boot trim then re-fit the spare wheel in its casing
