Camp life is the Best Life - Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona
Camp life is the Best Life Camp is a life changing experience for girls and we welcome all girls to participate in camp. You don’t have to be in a Girl Scout troop to go to camp. Every camp is open to all girls! Girls come from all over the community to attend camp. We are very excited to share our day, resident and specialty camp offerings with you. The Girl Scout team has designed camp experiences that are, first and foremost, fun and engaging for girls of all ages. Our camps also build courage, confidence and character in all girls who attend. Girls who participate in outdoor experiences build leadership, learn new skills, try activities outside of their comfort zone and become good stewards of the outdoors while building friendships that will last a lifetime. Our day camps are offered at the Hacienda Program Center on Sabino Canyon Road. The campus has indoor activity areas as well as beautiful outdoor learning centers. All campers have the opportunity to swim in our refreshing junior Olympic swimming pool and to do archery. Camps include, Wellness Warriors, All That Glitters and Love Your #Selfie. Campers can enjoy weekend and weeklong overnight experiences at Camp Whispering Pines (CWP) nestled in the cool pines of Mt. Lemmon. Resident camp includes some of our tried and true favorites like Night Owls and Muggle Magic and fun new camps: To Dye For, Jurassic Camp, Pine Tech, Jedi Training and Forest Fairies. Older girls can enjoy the camp experience as a camper and they also can experience camp as a program aid or a counselor in training. Camps for older girls include the amazing Camp Fury, Camp Comicon, Zombie Survival and so much more! Girls will enjoy unplugging, getting outside and finding what it takes to be a sister to every Girl Scout. The best way to learn and live the Promise and Law is through a camp experience. I hope you will join us. I look forward to seeing you at Camp!
