Application is hereby made for entry in the 4th of July Parade, Wednesday, July 4, 2012. In
consideration for acceptance of application, the entry unit agrees to indemnify, hold harmless
agreement, and defend against any action against Coeur d’Alene Area Chamber of Commerce,
Numerica Credit Union, Knudtsen Chevrolet, Coeur d’Alene Casino, and the City of Coeur d’Alene
from liabilities whatsoever arising from participation in the 4th of July Parade. Submission of entry
form does not ensure acceptance. 4th of July committee approval is required.
Entry deadline is June 15, 2012
All entries must include: Proof of Insurance, Hold Harmless Agreement, detailed description of entry and entry fee.

Entry deadline is June 15, 2012. Applications and entry fees received after deadline will be
assessed a $50.00 late fee. For inclusion in the 4th of July insert published and distributed by
the Coeur d’Alene Press, entries must be received by June 15, 2012. Your entry fee pays for
the 4th of July Parade only. Thank you for your support!
Give a full description of your entry for parade commentary at the judge’s stand. Please describe
your decorations and your representation of American Hero/Heroes. Entries will be accepted on an
invitation basis.

Compliance with Parade Rules/Hold Harmless Agreement, proper payment, and proof of liability insurance MUST

AGREEMENT TO ABIDE BY RULES AND REGULATIONS
Coeur d’Alene Area Chamber of Commerce Parade Committee has the right to refuse entry into the parade
and/or remove from the parade anyone not conforming to the rules and regulations.
Persons or units not listed in the official parade line-up will not be permitted.
Equestrian entries must provide for their own animal cleanup (pooper scoopers.) If not, an additional fee of
$150.00 will be charged to the entrant.
No fireworks, open fire or flame are allowed by any participant.
Use and/or possession of alcoholic beverages or illegal substances are forbidden.
A distance of 50 feet between parade units is required to be maintained. Entries are limited to 50 feet in length or
will be assessed an additional entry fee of $50.00.
Coeur d’Alene Area Chamber of Commerce does not accept responsibility for travel, food/lodging expenses, or
security of units, vehicles or personal items.
Entries must be 75% decorated in accordance with the theme of the parade.
All personnel with a parade unit must be appropriately attired.
Drivers of motorized vehicles must hold a valid driver’s license.
INSURANCE: Evidence of insurance must accompany the parade application.
No discharging of firearms is allowed.
Absolutely NO material of any kind may be distributed in any way by the parade unit during the parade.
This regulation extends from curb-to-curb along the entire parade route.
Commercial signage is limited to that permanently affixed to the unit. Additional advertising is not allowed.
The entry fee is non-refundable.
The above list is an abbreviated version of some of the Rules and Regulations contained in the unit application. By signing the official
Hold Harmless Agreement, applicant certifies that they have read, understand and will comply with the Rules and Regulations of Coeur
d’Alene Area Chamber of Commerce as stated in the unit application. They further certify that all members participating in the unit
identified in the application have been advised of and are knowledgeable of the Rules and Regulations and have agreed to comply with
them.

I assume all risk of bodily injury or property damage that I may incur participating in the Fourth of July American
Heroes Invitational Parade, and I hereby, for myself, my child, my heirs, executors, and administrators do
hereby, forever, waive and release all claims against and agree to hold harmless Coeur d’Alene Area Chamber of
Commerce, Numerica Credit Union, Coeur d’Alene Casino, Knudtsen Chevrolet, City of Coeur d’Alene, and their
respective officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors, assigns of any kind from any and all claims
which may be made for any cause whatsoever arising as a result of or in connection with the participation of
myself or the organization I represent in the herein mentioned event.
I have read and understand the parade Rules and Regulations contained in the unit application. I understand that it is my
responsibility to comply with the rules prescribed by Coeur d’Alene Area Chamber of Commerce in this form. Failure to
comply can cause denial of entry and/or expulsion from the parade on parade day or jeopardize any future association
with the parade.
