SOUTH WEST LONG ARM CLUB
If you have purchased a long arm machine, this is the club for you. Although we feature the ABM Innova Long Arm, all long arm quilters are welcome. Debbie Thornton will instruct you in a variety of long
arm topics such as feathers, pantographs, leader application (Velcro & zipper), E-cording, ruler work,
stencils, echo quilting, upper laser work, thread painting, and cross hatching. Each club meeting will

Quilting Classes
Scrappy Roll
If your fabric stash is overflowing with scraps then this is the class for you. Bring in all your scrap fabrics PRECUT to 2 1/2 in inch strips at least 22 inches long up to 45 inches long for this scrap buster class.
Strips will be combined and shared to increase the variety of your scrappy quilt top. Class time will be
devoted to sewing fabrics so bring your machine and basic sewing supplies including your Quarter Inch
Foot. All students will take home the start of a jelly roll quilt and all the precut fabrics needed for a quilt
top full of variety and a smaller scrap bag. Each time a scrappy class is offered a new and different pattern is featured. This is a new SCRAPPY pattern using 2 ½ inch strips and perfect for those left over binding strips

Stabilizer Solutions
The majority of the problems in machine embroidery stem from stabilizer issues.
In this lecture class I will go over a wide variety of stabilizers, their uses and
suggestions for various types of fabric or projects. A variety of samples will be on
display to illustrate the way in which each stabilizer was used to achieve the desired result. You will take home handouts for future reference.

This class allows you to design your own stitches. It is only available to owners of Brother Machines
XV8500D, NV6000D, 6700D & 6750D. You will learn how to create either decorative or utility stitches
that will add to your machine’s capabilities. If there is a stitch you wish your machine
had, you can create it using the ideas and techniques in this class.
