Learn how to free motion quilt including stippling using your home sewing machine. Templates, marking, supplies, threads and free motion techniques covered. You must have a working knowledge of your machine. Class includes a brief overview of straight stitch quilting with a walking foot. Don’t forget to bring your basic sewing supplies including your machine, free motion foot (also called darning foot), walking foot, disappearing ink or water soluble marker, an ink pen, colored thread of your choice (spool and bobbin), safety pins and quilter’s gloves (optional). The basics of straight quilt binding will be covered as well as advanced binding techniques such as piped bindings, bias bindings and reversible bindings.
