The interclub event is coming up where
Black Diamond Gun Club competes against Seattle
Skeet and Trap. The first event will be at Black
Diamond Gun Club on October 24th with the last
event at Seattle Skeet and Trap on December 1st.
We will be shooting Wednesday evenings at Black
Diamond Gun Club and Saturdays at Seattle Skeet
and Trap. For each event, the best five scores from
each club will be counted. The perpetual trophy
will be displayed at the winning club next year,
come on out and shoot for your club!
We have the league shoot going on and it is
not too late to sign up for it. The league is not over
until November 21st so there is still plenty of time
to sign up!
The Continental Season will be starting soon.
This is a fun winter time competition. There is
currently a field set up for practicing Continental.
Watch for sign up sheets at the front desk. If you
shoot for Black Diamond, the club offers a punch
card for a discount.

CRSO.
Pledge of Allegiance
Attendance sheet circulated. Monthly RSO duty list
for October was circulated.
“Hunter Sight in Days” activities were discussed.
Things started slow on the first weekend and was
more active on the second Saturday. Wednesday
evenings are also busy with sign-ins with the
expectation of getting much busier the 29th and 30th
of September and the 6th and 7th of October. The
Wednesday nights are also expected to be much
busier. Situations encountered were discussed and
how they were dealt with to get the shooters
properly sighted in: mis-aligned scopes, bore
sighting, and other techniques were noted.
3
New cards for the 200 yd range and holster certification
were again spoken of. A witnessed 2-incy 3 shot group
is required to be certified to go to the 200 yd range by
club members and the public.
The recent CMP shoot headed by Chris Boesche was an
extremely successful start. A .22 RF competition was
won by Brent Olsen with a score of 640/600. Way to go,
Brent!
First Shots classes are underway, and will be held
November 6th and 20th. Chris is seeking assistance
other RSO’s to help with the class since it will involve
adolescents as young as 8 or 9 (Cody Ballard started a
bit younger as I recall).
Phil Erickson’s Women’s Basic class went well, and the
Instructors again received praise from the participants.
John reminded the RSO’s to keep an eye out on the
pistol range – we are still getting high shots into the
baffles.
Meeting adjourned at 6:35pm.

Cork will be back on the 26th. Clete is doing well.
prices and member prices. You have to enter for both for
inventory, but they don’t know where to take inventory “out
of”. Items don’t come from the “same” places. Numbers
haven’t been updated, but they show up as negative. Bob
will get with Mark Downing and Jim Forczek and try to
figure out what is going on and to make the numbers more
understandable. Need training on how to use the system,
figures are under cases and individual. Jim says that the
machine will break a case. When it comes to ammo, it will
never come out perfectly. We should be able to get close
enough and be able to put a value on inventory. All
inventory as member prices at the moment. This will be
an ongoing process until it is more manageable.

Range Closures
The following dates are for range closures
due to the rental of the range. No members
should be out on the range during these
scheduled times unless approved by the board
of trustees.
The following dates have been scheduled:
October 5, 10, 11, 12, 18, 19
8am to 4pm each day
*Note: Entire club is closed during police events
Please check your newsletter and/or online carefully for range closures.
Closures are listed on the monthly calendar and in the section titled
Range Closures. It is best to check in both places for closures.
Sometimes the phrase “Range Closed” is omitted on the calendar due to
the limited space in the individual calendar date blocks. The club is
always closed during Law Enforcement agency use. The club is always
closed during the Women’s Pistol classes. Note that the rifle/pistol
ranges are closed for shooting during the Continental League and PITA
shoots whether it is listed on the calendar or not. This is a courtesy to
shooters paying entry fees and shooting for trophies. Please check the
Range Closure section for all scheduled range closures. If you
mistakenly remove the “Range Closed” sign at the gate, please replace it
immediately.
