Savor a five course fine dining experience in the European
tradition of the intimate dinner cabaret. Each cabaret
begins at 5:30 p.m. (doors open at 5:05 p.m.) and lasts
until approximately 9 p.m.
This special series celebrates our 15th year anniversary,
and features NUOVA alumni who are proud artists
of Alberta.

Century Grill
Alumnus, Barbara King who portrayed Quickly in our
2010 production of Falstaff was inspired to begin the
Calgary Concert Opera Company. She is producing
Carmen this Fall and her talented team of artists will
share with NUOVA cabaret patrons excerpts from
Bizet’s most famous work.

Isabel Davis joined NUOVA this past season as
part of the talented company in Albert Herring.
Alongside Tyler Kuhnert, they have created
an evening of Tahitian treats from popular
composers and musicals such as The King and I,
Flower Drum Song, South Pacific and Kismet.

Oliveto Trattoria
Tyler Fitzgerald (The Count from 2011 Marriage of
Figaro) and Lida Szkwarek (Rusalka 2011) have both
moved on to the Emerging Artists program in Calgary.
These first class artists will passionately inspire you
with an eclectic evening of songs, arias and duets
from opera and musical theatre repertoire. They will
be joined by NUOVA’s exceptional collaborative pianist
and coach, Shannon Hiebert.

Catherine Abele is an alumnus from 2002/03, first
as our delightful Cherubino in Marriage of Figaro, and
then as Nanetta in our Falstaff. She now teaches at
the University of Alberta alongside colleague, Elizabeth
Turnbull (a celebrated Canadian Mezzo soprano).
Completing this “Bonny Bunch” is NUOVA alumnus
and brilliant collaborative artist Leanne Regehr. All
three will welcome in the spirit of Spring with an
evening of folk songs from the British Isles.

Catherine Daniel (Ludmilla in The Bartered Bride 2007)
has been successful in carving out an exciting career
as a classical vocal artist and it is our privilege to
have her back at home, sharing lieder, arias and gospel
selections that continue to inspire her artistic journey.

Packrat Louie
NUOVA will continue the tradition of our final cabaret
showcasing artists from the Vocal Arts Festival. This
will be a cabaret full of some of the most beautiful
romantic arias, duets and trios written by Puccini.
This evening will surely delight in our newest venue,
Packrat Louie.
