The Premier Leader in Pre-High School Education
Our Strategic Plan for the 2014-2015 school year – –
Inspire, Inquire, Innovate is centered around our:
• Welcoming Community • Innovative Program • Extraordinary Faculty Our Academic Program
Our exceptional academic program features an integrated approach
with in-depth project-centered work. In doing so, we provide the
framework for students to make connections, think critically and
learn how to reason.
Our Episcopal Identity
St. Anne’s School is a non-parochial, independent preparatory
school that celebrates exploration of ideas and reflection.
We address freedom and responsibility, belief and openmindedness, social conscience and individual integrity.
Our program is based on personalized learning, deep exploration
and research. Students become engaged in their academic
journey and want to learn the vast array of skills they’ll need to
succeed in life.
The open, non-doctrinaire approach to religious education is a
hallmark of Episcopal education. Our student population reflects
a diverse faith community that celebrates a wide variety of
religious affiliations.
Our Social Curriculum
Life at St. Anne’s School encourages not just academic
achievement, but also builds character and integrity. Our
intentionally implemented social curriculum develops respect,
responsibility, honesty and kindness, while promoting selfconfidence, trust and lasting relationships.
Our Preschool through Eighth Grade Model
A leading model throughout the nation, our Preschool through
Eighth Grade configuration allows us to guide children in
becoming confident adolescents. Leadership roles are practiced
in every classroom.
With an environment where children feel safe and valued,
students can take healthy risks that strengthen their cognitive
abilities as well as their social skills.
Our Community
Each student starts their journey as a member of a caring and
committed community of support. Our goal is to educate the
whole child, instilling both knowledge and social and spiritual
values. Students receive encouragement to think locally,
act globally, tackle challenges, understand themselves, and
appreciate and respect others.
We also want each child to feel known and included, to know
that his or her presence contributes fundamentally to our school
community daily. We engage not just students, but their families,
in activities to make our community a better place in which to live.
Middle School students serve as role models for our younger
students and make meaningful contributions to our community. At
this critical developmental juncture, our Middle School students
develop the confidence needed to embrace the opportunities and
challenges of high school. With knowledge of their learning style
and interests, our Eighth Grade students are poised to select the
best match for themselves among premier high school programs.
The Annapolis Twos
The Annapolis Twos extends the
St. Anne’s School of Annapolis
learning environment to younger
children. In both two- and three-day
programs, children are invited to
develop their unique abilities and gifts and to extend their thinking.
