COMPANY HISTORY
Duraflex is one of the largest extruders of
PVC-u profile for the Window Industry in the UK.
We supply Householders, Builders,
Developers, Local Authorities and Housing
Associations through a nationwide network of
window fabricators and installers.
1953 - Duraflex formed selling Aluminium
products
Backed by over twenty years of PVC-u extrusion
experience in the window and door sector,
Duraflex create the ideal environment for
innovative product design, quality production,
reliable logistics and all the necessary customer
support services.
PURPOSE BUILT FACILITY
Completed in 2004, we operate from a 275,000
sq/ft state of the art, purpose built facility in
Tewkesbury that consists of the office, factory
and warehouse.
1970 - Acquired by RTZ and moved into the doors
and windows sector
1980 - Bought PVC-u fabrication plant from Glostal
1990 - Developed own PVC-u extrusion operation
1995 - Acquired by Caradon Group and CDW Ltd formed
1997 - Launched the Diamond Suite
1999 - Acquired by Latium Group and formed new Duraflex team
2000 - Launched new patio and integrated 70mm and Featured System
2002 - Duraflex becomes a Limited company and is bought by the MASCO Corporation
Duraflex are now the largest single site extruder
of hollow PVC-u profile in the UK.
2004 - Move of Factory, Warehouse and Office to one state-of-the-art, purpose built
facility in Tewkesbury

modern PVC-u door profiles. This hinge has strong characteristics with the added
advantage of a soft sculptured shape that enhances the overall appearance of any door
when fitted to modern ovulo decorative profiles.

Strong, but elegant in style, the Duraflex letterplate is very suitable for fitting to high
quality composite and timber doors. The flaps and main body manufactured exclusively
from precision zinc alloy die castings, offer a stable base material for high performance
coatings, such as PVD. Each flap incorporates sprung steel mechanisms.
12”, accepting full A4-sized mail, aperture size conforming to BS EN 13724: 2002

The Duraflex tilt-before-turn window handle was developed to cater for the needs of
both domestic and commercial window applications. This is achieved with a two-stage
key operation which offers a tilt only facility to control ventilation, along with a fully
locked position.
Key stage 1: Fully locked in closed position.
Key stage 2: Tilt only mode for ventilation.
When fully unlocked, the handle operates to 180 degrees.
Non-handed ergonomic design
Available in locking or non-locking variants

1. YALE SHOOTBOLT
High security shootbolt engineered to provide versatility, reliability and the most stringent
security applications. 2 centre opposing cams together with cam and shootbolt to both corners
providing a minimum of 6 locking points to all windows. Cast keeps with night vent facility complete
this high security lock offering.
2. ENCLOSER
The encloser features a slim gearbox with opposing mushroom cams along
the espag rod which “enclose” from both sides into each cast keep for maximum security.
