ll Fired Up! began in the Spring of 1984 when Lynne Carson and her sister-in-law Teresa
Beal, both with infant daughters at home, decided to start a small business making and selling ceramic items in order to supplement their family incomes. They were soon joined by
Teresa’s sister Deborah Carson and, as the business grew, Teresa’s husband Alf, and Lynne’s
husband David.
At the beginning we initially made dozens of different kinds of ceramic items, but it was one item in
particular, a decorative ceramic light switch plate, that continually sold out. The decision to expand in that
area was an easy one. Soon we had our own custom-made molds, started creating our own designs and
developing our own techniques, and the business blossomed. From our current studio space in Milton, Ontario, we craft thousands of switch plates each year which we market under the brand name “Now That’s
a Switch!” They are available all across North America in craft galleries, museum shops, and independent
gift and specialty stores (current locations listed on our website: www.nowthatsaswitch.com)
This new catalogue features well over 100 original designs in switchplates, in up to eight different size
configurations. Our designs are inspired by nature and culture and may be abstract or representational,
contemporary or traditional. We have succeeded in transforming what was once a humble piece of hardware into little works of art, a finishing touch for any style of home decor.
But All Fired Up! is not just a switchplate company, it is first and foremost a ceramics company. Many of
our designs are translated onto a number of different ceramic items: house numbers, wall clocks and desk
clocks, even ceramic jewelry. And we have successfully branched out into larger items such as tiled mirrors and mosaic tables. William Morris once suggested that one “Have nothing in your house that you do
not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” All Fired Up’s products truly are both.

time. Each piece will vary.
Dimensions: Square mirror is 20 x 20; large mirror is 17 x 20; small mirror is
11 x 13. Take care when hanging - they are heavy!
Small table is 16 x 16 x 20 inches high; large table is 16 x 34 x 20 inches high.

Although each item is sealed with grout sealer, they are intended for interior
use only.

Due to fluctuations in kiln temperatures, and the nature of the glazes we use, colors may not be as
shown in the catalog, and may vary.
All switchplates come with nylon screws. Use caution when installing. Do not overtighten. If necessary,
the screws can be shortened by cutting with scissors.
