Guidelines For Bidding
1.
Please bring this catalog to the auction as very few will be available.
2.
Auction table will be located on the field and auction items will be
presented in numerical order as they appear in this catalog. Each item will
either be displayed or have a description on the bid sheet. Each bid sheet
will include: (a) the item number, (b) the catalog title and brief description,
(c ) the minimum opening bid amount, and (d) the minimum bid raise
amount.
3.
To enter a bid: Print your name and your bid amount on the first available
line. An opening bid must meet or exceed the minimum amount listed on
the bid sheet. Please follow the minimum bid increase amounts listed. Bids
that do not meet these requirements will be disqualified. Please write
clearly-illegible bids will be voided.
4.
Bidders are asked to place bids in a timely manner and step away from the
bid sheet to allow others to observe and place bids. NO GUARDING BID
SHEETS OR PREVENTING OTHERS TO BID!
5.
In the event of a dispute, the silent auction chair will determine winning
bidder, the decision will be final.

Guidelines For Bidding
1.
ALL BIDS ARE BINDING AND ALL SALES ARE FINAL. All auction items are
sold “as is,” and no exchanges, refunds, or substitutions will be made by
auction committee or donors except where specifically stated. Please note
the restrictions on some items such as days of the week or dates that
services and events are valid. Winners who leave early will be notified with
in 48 hours.
2.
The buyer waives all claims for liability against YMCA of Metropolitan
Washington or the donor of the item or services purchased, and neither the
YMCA or donor is responsible for any personal injuries or damages to
property that may result form the use of items or services sold.
3.
If an item is not on display, the winning bidder will receive a gift certificate
letter or ticket for the item.
4.
The Silent Auction Chair will close the bidding at 1:30pm. Winners will be
announced at 1:45pm. Payments should be made at the auction table.
5.
Winners take payment receipt/ticket to collection table to receive your
item.
6.
YMCA Bethesda-Chevy Chase reserves the right to remove any item at any
time from the auction.
7.
Breaking any of the above rules and guidelines will result in dismissal from
the event and the bid to be void.
