Rally June 21st
This was with Pam Hall, was a lovely day and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. It was a great turnout and we had lots of
unmounted spectator’s aswell which was nice to see. Thanks to Barb and those that stayed back with her in the dark to smudge
the arena!
July Rally Saturday 19th July with Erin Milford (Wilson)
Michelle has held booking open until Wednesday. We will be having a BBQ lunch. BARC will supply the Burgers and Bread and
Robyn is donating the sausages. Please bring a salad or sweet to share. If you are coming unmounted please let Michelle or Lisa
know so we make sure we get enough meat to feed everyone.

CIPC kitchen is underway
Grounds sign – Anne presented draft sign, agreed to have chalk board strip at the bottom to to write rally dates ect.
Arena report – still no bill, $100 donation received from Stoitse Transport.
Horse Trials in March 2015 – First Aid booked, if everyone can start trying to get some sponsorship or donations. Email
Lisa with who you have asked to make sure we don’t double up.
BARC Camp/Clinic October 18th and 19th – Lisa has emailed out draft program. $160 for both days. 3 x 45 min lessons
each day, can do 2 if you prefer. Maximum 3 per lesson. $10 facility fee included. Pony Club will cater. Dressage
instructors are Ro Jelbart and Oswald Johnen, SJ is Sam Ceshick and XC is Chris Height.
Grants, current shire grants of up to 5k, will apply to get wash bay built.
$1000 Bendigo Bank grant was presented to Laurel on behalf of the Rec Reserve Committee. Cheque was made out to
BARC so we have banked it and then will reissue a cheque to the Rec Reserve Committee, this is going towards fixing the
water pipes at the grounds.
Our current membership is setting at 44, welcome to new member Andrea 
Lisa will send out Expressions of Interest for TTT Showjumping, Nav Ride and Dressage which are all coming up in
September, October and November.

If anyone needs level assessing please see me (Elinor ) at the next rally. I am away until the end of September after this, so if you
are thinking of TTT show jumping and need your level checked let me know.
RALLY GUIDELINES
Multiple horses at rallies (i.e. lessons on 2 horses), subject to there being space available:
Reminder to members to be in correct uniform at rallies.
Minimum 8 riders to run rally.
·
If less than 8 riders we can open up to allow private and/or invite other HRCAV clubs to attend so the rally can go
ahead.
·
Closing time for booking to ride at a rally is the Monday night prior to rally.
·
Any cancellations after closing day will still have to pay the lesson cost, unless; you can provide a doctors or vet
certificate.
·
Maximum number of riders in a lesson = 4
·
For rallies where Flat & Jumping will take place, these will be separate lessons, usually flat in the morning, jumping after
lunch. 1 lesson = $30, 2 lessons (same combination) = $45.
Code of Conduct BARC wishes members to note that decisions on participation of horses/riders in a lesson shall be at the
discretion of the instructor on that day. The HRCAV Code of Conduct can be found on the HRCAV website.
Care of sand arena- There are a couple of soft spots on arena marked with cones (leave the cones out)– riders should try to
avoid these areas. The arena must be smudged weekly or more often after heavy use. BARC & CIPC need someone to do it
every Sunday or Monday. Any volunteers?? If you are there on these days the keys to shed are available from Elmore’s letterbox
just down the road. Motor bike riders must be licensed and wear a helmet while riding the 4WD bike.

Elinor and Ludo went to Peninsula show jumping, Ludo went really well but I got lost in the AM7! We had one rail in the 2 phase
for a 4th place with at least 5 others!
Wendy and Ben – home busy with calving cows

What does your horse like to eat: She isn’t fussy, everything, but it is best if it comes in a
bucket!
What is your favorite colour: Black…very slimming.
What does your horse love: Jumping, Trail Riding.
What are the characteristics of your horse: She is a bit of a “nervous Nellie”, but very sweet
natured and looks after her Mum.
What are your characteristics: Pig-headed, practical, grumpy old woman.
What do you love: My children, grandchildren and my animals. I don’t love my job, or cold,
windy weather!! What am I doing in Gippsland???
