Adding pretty color to dry embossed images has never been easier! This technique was contributed and filmed by
Designer Mary Ellen Harrison. It’s all about the white -- your embossing will just GLOW!
Supplies:
- Die Cut/Embossing Machine
- Brayer
- White Pigment Pad
- Embossing Folder
- Dark Cardstock, ¼ Sheet
- Heat Tool
- Coloring Tool of choice: Chalks, Rainbow Pads, Chalk Ink Pads with
Cotton Swaps or Cat’s Eye Chalk Ink Pads
Step Two:
Ink the brayer with white ink, and brayer over the embossed image
without placing too much pressure on the cardstock. Roll gently back
and forth to cover the entire embossed area entirely with white.
Step One:

Variation Two:
Dry the pigment ink with the heat tool. Card may be used as is, or
completed using one of the variations for coloring the embossing.and
slowly making larger circles with your finger.
Variation Three:
Ink the brayer with a rainbow pad and brayer over the dried white
pigment ink. Re-ink the brayer and roll over the embossed image
until the desired color intensity is achieved.
Note: Be sure that the white ink is dry, or the white ink will transfer
to the rainbow ink pad when the brayer is reinked.
Apply chalks to parts or all of the embossed image with a cotton
swab to highlight areas of the embossing.
Using the chalk ink pad and a cotton swab or a cat’s eye pad, apply ink to the embossed area(s) as desired.
