Research Databases
The Library has subscribed to the following EBSCOhost databases, which are “EdLINK-enabled”:
(Note: EdLINK is an integrated e-resources linking platform. Simply click on the “EdLINK” button in the result list and you
will be directed to the full text of an article or Library Catalogue.)
1. Academic Search Premier
Provides full text for nearly 4,700 publications, including full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed journals. PDF backfiles
to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more
than 1,000 titles.
2. ATLA Religion Database
Provides information on topics such as biblical studies, world religions, church history, and religion in social issues.
3. Child Development & Adolescent Studies
Provides access to references to the current and historical literature related to growth and development of children through
the age of 21. Book reviews and abstracts from hundreds of journals and a bibliography of thousands of technical reports,
books, book chapters, theses and dissertations covering biomedical and social sciences worldwide are indexed.
4. Econlit
Contains more than 610,000 records, with information from 1969-present. It covers virtually every area related to economics.
5. Education Research Complete
A bibliographic and full text database containing scholarly research and information relating to all areas of education. Topics
covered include teacher education, curriculum planning, school administration, teaching and learning, language arts, civic
education and many more.
6. ERIC
Contains Resources In Education (RIE) file of document citations and Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE) file of
journal article citations from over 980 professional journals.
7. Family & Society Studies Worldwide
Providing the most comprehensive coverage of research, policy, and practice literature in the fields of Family Science,
Human Ecology, Human Development, and Social Welfare.
8. Gender Studies Database
Covers the full spectrum of gender-engaged scholarship. The database indexes scholarly, popular, and internet publications,
including journals, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, bulletins, books, book chapters, proceedings, reports, dissertations,
studies, important websites, and multi-media publications.
9. MAS Ultra - School Edition
Provides full text for over 500 popular publications, with information dating back as far as 1975 for key magazines.
It also provides nearly 550 full text pamphlets, 150 full text reference books, nearly 100,000 biographies, 76,000 primary
source documents, and an image collection of 116,000 photos, maps and flags.
10. Primary Search
Provides full text for more than 60 popular magazines for elementary school research. All full text articles included in the
database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles), and full text information dates as far back as 1990.
11. MEDLINE
Provides medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical
sciences, and much more.
12. Music Index
Index of journal articles about classical and popular music from international music periodicals. Topics include forms and
types of music, musical instruments from the earliest times to modern electronic instruments, plus computer produced music.
13. Professional Development Collection
Provides a collection of over 500 full text journals, including more than 300 peer-reviewed titles. In addition to full text,
indexing and abstracts are provided for nearly 800 journals. Full text information dates back as 1985.
14. RILM Abstracts of Music Literature
An international bibliography of scholarly writings on music and related disciplines. All scholarly works are covered.
Concert reviews, recording notes, pedagogical manuals are also included.
15. SPORTDiscus with Full Text
Provides full text access to over 230 journals in sport and related disciplines.
16. The Serials Directory
Provides up-to-date and accurate bibliographic information and pricing for U.S. and international periodicals including
newspapers, historical data for an additional 20,000 titles and data from over 85,000 publishers worldwide.

17. Vocational and Career Collection
Provides full text coverage for trade and industry related periodicals from 1985 onwards. Also includes indexing and
abstracts of more than 380 periodicals.

5. Print, E-mail & Save Options
From the result list, click
Folder has items
You may choose Print, E-mail, Save or Export options in the result details page and under the “Folder”.

6. My EBSCOhost
It is a personal folder to allow you to save your search results and links to searches, saved searches,
search alerts, journal alerts and web pages.
1. Click Sign in to My EBSCOhost
2. Click I’m a new user to create
a new account if you are first
time users
4. Once you have signed in, the
EBSCOhost icon displays a “MY”
banner on it.
