If any student is new to the school and missed photo day or retake
photo’s, please see Ms. Lopez in room 320 immediately to make sure
your picture makes it into the mugshots.

Attention Grade 12s! Do you need more hours to complete your work experience? There are many volunteer
placements that are available right now to choose from and can get you started in completing your mandatory
hours. Here are some ideas:
NEW Opportunities!
Grade 11s, and 12s! Looking for community service hours? Teen Reading Buddies are needed at Burnaby Public
Library this winter. Reading Buddies is a program where teens and children are paired up for one-on-one reading
in a safe, fun and friendly environment. You will gain leadership skills, community involvement, and hours you can
use towards your community service hours requirement. The program will run every Tuesday at the McGill Branch
Library from February 3 – March 3. Visit Ms. Perizzolo in the Career Centre for more information
The 23rd annual Wellness Fair: Please some to the Career Center to sign up for voluntary opportunities to the
Wellness Fair. There are a variety of positions and times.
Artspace Children’s Arts Center: Are you a mature and reliable youth looking for a fun volunteer opportunity to
gain valuable work experience? If you are a student you is interested in working with kids and teach about visual
and performing arts come to the Career Center.
BCIT Broadcast Work Experience Opportunity (Grade 11 and 12)! Any grade 11 or 12 students interested in
acquiring work experience in the field of broadcast, please come to the Career Centre ASAP, spots fill quickly so
drop in over the next day or so!
Snow School Volunteer Opportunities: Mt. Seymour requires volunteers to assist their professional instructors
with their lesson programs for skiers and snowboarders ages 4-6. For more details about the details and
